I've been to this location a number of times, when I was in Canby for the Oregon Renaissance Faire at the fairgrounds. I've always gotten good food, and good service. The ladies behind the counter are always friendly, sharp looking, and efficient. The guys doing the cooking always intrigue me with the way they toss together all the fresh veggies and work the woks over the hot fire. But today was special. I drove up from Silverton for my last minute shopping before Canterbury Faire starts, walked in, and was greeted with the most genuine, cheerful, welcoming, and beautiful smile I've seen in a long time. After I recovered, which took a bit, Alejandra took my order and rang me up, still with that amazing smile. This has to be the nastiest food ever made. I've had boiled water that had more flavor then this place absolutely the nastiest so called food I've ever had. I'd rather have gas station food. The two guys bought a lot of food and wiped out two of the choices that I was hoping g to get. Although, that was not a major problem. The guys kept changing their mind and took longer than usual to place their order. Not once did the employees make any eye contact with either of us or even acknowledge that we were there. We felt disrespected and ignored and headed yo the door to leave. Only then did an employee attempt to make any contact with us. Too late. I'm not sure why others give it fewer stars, but I was happy with both my food and service. The only issue I had was with the app which they could not help me with but were patient while I figured it out (app thought I was redeeming two offers, but I managed to use the "bogo-free offer" in-store through the phone browser). This panda gives us bad service 95% of the time. It's the closest to us so we frequent often but today was the last time. I was there today 5/4/22 at around 2:50pm. I was waiting for my order to be ready when Mari left the building to deliver a order to a parked car. She came back and went right back into the kitchen to serve another order. She did NOT change her gloves. I commented on it and she said she hadn't touched anything and that she opened the door with her shoulder. She must have strong ass shoulders because that door is hard af to open. Minutes later another lady did the same. Apparently she forgot the persons drink because she came right back to serve the drink with again, without changing her gloves. Changing your gloves isn't that hard people! I get to the store, and there's a sign on the door that says to pick-up online orders at the drive thru. Well, the drive thru had a line of close to 30 cars! I ordered online to avoid this! I had no time to wait (and waste my gas), so I went elsewhere to get food before my insulin kicked in. Wasted my money on an order that I couldn't pick-up the way they promised. Waiting to see if they'll do the right thing, and refund the order. But silence from the website support so far. If they did make my order, it would have been no good by the time I got through the drive thru. If they weren't going to make it until I got to the front of the long line, then it never got made. We ate through the drive through and I can't find one positive thing about the horrible service, (no forks, napkins, fortune cookie, nothing! The food didn't even taste like Panda Express, looked like carry over food and tasted like it or the times had expired or not at proper levels. Panda Express in Canby often gets orders wrong. They leave items out of the bag. But more frustrating is the that they often ask people to wait because food is not cooked and ready. They often state food is in the fryer and will take 5 to ten minutes to cook. This would make sense if they were busy. But it happens even when they are not busy. If you can get to the Wilsonville Panda Express instead of the Canby location you will have a vastly better experience. read more

Panda's is tricky. It suffers the same plight that any buffet restaurant has to deal with. When the food first comes out, it's really good. If it isn't fried then it can stand a little while on the hot line before it looses it's appeal, but if it's fried and it's more than 5 minutes "old", it's appeal has weakened severely. A lot of the Panda's food is fried - so it's almost russian roulette to know if you're going to get the good stuff or the old and soggy stuff. I think they have gone out of their way to shrink the batch sizes of food when they're not as busy and it's easier to find food that has only recently been put out. They are good about giving you a sample if you ask for one so you can tell for yourself. It's just a bummer if you have a yearning for that orange chicken and the free taste tells you that this isn't your day. I do like the times I get the freshest versions of their food. The orange chicken, the kung pao chicken (usually a good bet since it isn't deep fried.) I like having the option of combining two choices between fried rice, noodles and veggies. Generally the food here isn't the lowest calorie food you could find. The staff is on your side though and if you let them know you only want the freshest stuff, they'll help you out. If they offer to bring you some fresh stuff in a couple of minutes, take them up on it. The wait is always worth it. The portion sizes are pretty good for the prices and if you're in a hurry, they are a pretty good choice. For what it's worth, it's one of the few, the proud, the incredible establishments that offer Pepsi products. read more

So we went online and placed two orders for Plates at the Canby location. We placed the order at 5:15pm for pickup at 6:15 on the same day. I arrived at 6:16pm to pickup my order and there it was...two styrofoam boxes sitting along the steam table waiting. I asked what we were waiting on and was told Beijing Beef. OK...I asked if it was being made. I was assured it was. No action for awhile. I finally asked the two people cooking if they were making Beijing Beef. All I got for that effort was two blank looks and they went back to BS'ing with each other. Finally...action...my boxes moved. Then they stopped. I asked what the holdup was. Now we're waiting for Sweetfire Chicken. Same process...deja vu!! Finally, my order emerged at 6:30pm. Used to be you could count on your order being ready on time. My last two visits to Panda have gone this way. The one prior to this one was 30 minutes late. Seems like they should know what needs to be ready for dinnertime. Data is a wonderful thing!! This place is awful. I had placed an order online as to avoid waiting in line when I arrived to pick up. The food was not ready at the specified time and they kept telling me 5 more minutes, 5 more minutes... it ended up not being ready until 35 minutes after it was supposed to be. I had to ask to speak with the manager on duty 3 times before he finally came to talk to me. He offered to refund my order... I accepted and left. A week later I had still not received my refund... I tried calling multiple times on Saturday and Sunday and no one answered. I finally spoke with the store manager on last Monday and he advised me that the refund had not been submitted. He said he would contact the correct department at corporate and have the refund processed. He said he would follow up with me on Tuesday he never did. He also offered a free meal but I was left with no. Lue how to go about getting that. This place is trash. Panda Expeess can eat shit. I have gone to this location multiple times trying to give them a fair chance, but I just keep getting disappointed. First off it's the crappy and slow service. One time I was in there I got a chicken egg roll and I get back to work and there is no sauce for it? Doesn't it come with it? Every other location I've been to you get a sauce with your egg roll. I was bummed, but yet I have it another shot and ordered one again and this I was determined to get that sauce and I didn't see them put one in the bag so I asked the lady if she'd look to see and if I could get one. You could tell she was annoyed with looking in my bag to see if it was there and it wasn't. She rudely said to me "I'll just give you one!" Digs around for one and then also rudely hands it to me and says "Here!" Ummm....what the heck!? You're supposed to get s sauce with it lady! Then that same order I wanted something they told me I would have to wait 10 mins for, and I'm on my lunch break so I just ordered something different not mad about it. I got broccoli beef instead. Get to work and it's all broccoli and just 2 very small pieces of beef. I mean if I wanted to eat just broccoli I would have ordered JUST broccoli, ok. I went to Panda Express tonight around 9:20 and and ordered my food and they informed me it would be about 10 minutes for my food. I said no problem! I got my food and went home and am just now getting to eat my food and BOY MUST I SAY!!! My food is absolutely amazing! They cooked everything fresh!!! And because of that my food was still somewhat warm when I finally got to eat it. I havnt eaten here in about two months and most times I go mid day and the food is alright but never super fresh but still good I can't complain but today they did a fantastic job! I went to this drive thru - while the person who helped me was lovely the food was not. The walnut shrimp (extra charge) was soggy with the sauce all having soaked in and there was a definate lack of walnuts. The orange chicken was so dry it had to have been hours old - again there was no sauce and the flavor was very off putting due to the age of the chicken. The chow mien had noodles that were black on one side - obviously they were not tasty due to this burned flavor. So, basically I wasted 8.95 for food that went into the trash. First time I've been to a Panda Express in years. I've been craving Chinese food for awhile so I drive to Canby from Woodburn. I was quite surprised with the generous portions in the large plate I ordered. I did not care for the Grilled Teriyaki chicken. Instead of the chicken being sliced like on the menu, it was pulled then covered in teriyaki sauce. The other entrees I ordered were excellent. I will definitely return. read more

Agree with other reviewers that when they are busy its usually fresh and hot and pretty good but there is a dark side...if you actually walk into the place to order your food they will leave you standing there waiting to order or waiting to complete your order because all their attention AND all the food goes out the drive thru! It is positively MADDENING! There can be a line of people in various stages of the process just standing there while car after car gets their orders. People have gotten so incredibly lazy that they have to order food for 20 people in the drive thru? Oh Come on! I've also noticed that the portion sizes have decreased.
