We love the hamburgers and especially the fries. Sometimes we make hamburgers at home, but run down to get their delicious fries. The last time I ordered to go and pick it up, I waited for at least 10-15 minutes only for them to realize my order was sitting up on the counter getting cold. I was so rude. I still feel awful about it, but the manager was so nice and put up with me. She made me new fries and gave me some gift cards which she really didn't need to do. They handled me being so rude really well. Working in the food industry is hard and I still feel bad how grouchy I was but the staff was great. read more

Updating for 2025. I'm now torn about this place. I actually go there semi-regularly, but will go there a lot less now going forward. The Good: I think they have the best hamburgers of anywhere in the Portland area, and I love their fancy drink machines where they offer so many cool combinations of drinks. The people there are usually really friendly (but less so now, that recently they have a lot of noobs there that don't know what they are doing). Also their logistics have improved a lot over what it was a few years ago. Now if you order from the app, you can expect to walk in, and in 5 min or less you'll have your food. Pretty good! The Bad: They now screw up the drinks order nearly 100% of the time. I'll order a soft drink in a large cup, and they'll hand me a bottle, or a small cup, or, well, anything other than what I ordered. *sigh*. C'mon guys, it can't be that hard! Their fries are now usually terrible. At least 75% of the time, they are runny/wet/undercooked. It's like eating a raw potato... because you are! Yuck! That's happened to me now, I believe 3 of the last 4 times I've been there, and it's not like there are options for any other type of side. I suppose that is the big downside to their business model. They offer so few different things that they'd better do each of those things expertly (and they used to!), and now in 2025 they just don't! read more

Yesterday my son had a baseball tourney in Keizer...They played a game at 2 and 6 pm. We did bring some snacks along with us, but the only thing I got at concessions was a watered down Diet Coke. It was ok because the ice was useful. A lot of the players went to In-N-Out after the first game...unfortunately this caused many to be late. We were hoping to do the same after. I myself have never been, but when we got there we were like "nope". I made the quick decision to go to Five Guys and I wasn't disappointed The restaurant was very nice with cool music playing. There was peanuts scattered around and I placed my order. One double patty cheeseburger with a small fries. When i returned I found one large fry on the table. This made perfect sense. The quantity of fries provided in a large is more than enough for 2 adults and a child. My portion was delicious and sufficient. The burger as usual was juicy and delicious. I usually just get a one patty, but I was starving. The raw jalapeños make the burger. I did have to go up to get them , but I am thinking my order "might" have been modified like the fries were. I am a huge fan of five guys! I love everything about the restaurant from the burgers, made to order, coming standard as a double, as well as their fresh cut french fries with potatoes from locally sourced farms. I was worried that we would not have a good experience based on the reviews on yelp. I just want to say ignore every review from three years ago and on, whatever was going on at that time, isn't happening now. We walked in in the restaurant was very clean and inviting. The staff were friendly and professional. As soon as we walked up to the counter, we were greeted and our order was taken. When the food came, it was hot fresh and well-made. Anyone who loves five guys and is looking for a location that is good, this is your place to go here. I highly recommend them to anybody who loves five guys! read more

The burgers are always delicious but the service at this location is always slow and questionable. This time proceeded to watch the server pull fries out of fryer, season and scope up only to realize she'd already completed the order. She then put it up and started working on some burgers for another order. Assuming the order she put up was mine I asked and got an 'Oh yeah, sorry about that'. I haven't had Five Guys in years so I was surprised when I had the hamburger and it was quite delicious! The ingredients and toppings used were fresh and added to the nice quality of the burger. We got Cajun style fries to share and they were a bit too salty to taste. The worker who took our order was not that friendly but it didn't bother us much. Very Overprice and very slow service, although friendly. Burger alone cost $10, the fries $5 then the mid drink is $3. The burger was good, hoe we not even close to worth $10. I am conflicted about giving this place a three star review because the burgers and fries are literally the best around for fast food. The burgers are fresh and the fries are massive and delicious. This Tualatin location however is always under staffed. The the last two times I came here it was normal day hours and they turned me away. The first time they said they did not have enough staff and the second they had run out of ingredients. Both times I drove to the West Linn location. Today there is two people working and they are busting there ass no shade on them. Where are their employees? The real question is what is up with the management at this location or lack there of???? Five Guys makes the best burgers. All menu items they make here are literally 5/5. The fries are great, the portion sizes are generous, and the shakes are genuine. The interior is clean, and on the right days they aren't that busy. The downside is the service. Since all the workers are underpaid starving college kids, they don't care enough to double bag your order, which doesn't work well with the grease or the steam from the hot food. But still, the food is more than enough to redeem the average service, so Five Guys is absolutely a recommend any time you want a burger. read more

They've gone rogue. I have to admit that I'm "one of those people" who have a strong preference for California's own In-N-Out burgers. And so when Five Guys (based in D.C.) opened in my home town (West Linn) a few years ago, I was not very impressed. In fact, I was downright irritated about certain things and let them know. One of the biggest head scratchers for me was that they didn't offer milkshakes. And in response to my comment cards and emails to HQ (I'm nothing if not persistent), I was told that it wasn't part of their brand and they are very successful, thank you very much, and will keep on keepin' on with their traditional menu. So imagine my surprise when a new location opens in nearby Tualatin and there are sandwich boards on the street and signs in the window proclaiming that they offer "hand-spun milkshakes." My son looked at me and said, "They finally listened to you." Yep, I take full credit. Now I'm just wondering about the language, "hand-spun." Are they weaving me a sweater? Odd wording aside, the milkshake was great. They only offer one size and about ten flavors to choose from and.... (drum roll please), you can mix flavors. Highly recommend the chocolate/salted caramel. The funny part is that although I'm still not a fan, my oldest son is so we regularly visit Five Guys. We were at the West Linn location the other day and no milkshakes. So this new location gets an extra star from me. The burgers, fries and wide range of toppings are the same and the indoor seating area dominated by high-top tables and bar stools is reasonably spacious. They even get their potatoes from the same farm as my West Linn branch and peanuts are ready to be scooped and eaten while you wait. The West Linn location is pretty tiny, so I doubt they'll get with the program and add this to menu [1]. Looks like we'll be heading to Tualatin when my son's burger (and shake) craving hits. [1] According to the Five Guys website, none of the other Portland metro locations offer milkshakes. So Tualatin is "special." read more

I ordered through Grubhub last night well before they closed (they close at 11pm/10:30pm for deliveries). Please also note: I did double check on their website to make sure their hours were correct and these are the proper hours they are open in regard to COVID changes for this location. They also didn't alter the hours due to Halloween. I placed my order at 9:45pm The driver called me at 10:30pm to let me know the restaurant claimed to have never got my order even though they pinged the driver AND myself that it was confirmed and then pinged again that it was ready for pick up. Apparently they have a habit of marking it ready as soon as the order pops in or shortly after, before they've even started it. I order from them often and will get that ping about 5-10 minutes after submitting my order but then get a message from the driver when they get there that it's not actually ready and they have to wait so I'm familiar with this drill. I think they mark it done early before they start it to keep their time/stats good. When the driver arrived the doors were locked and there were trash cans placed in front of the door. A worker came to the door and said they had closed half an hour ago which would have made it about 10:00pm. I know it's Halloween but they obviously closed early because they didn't want to work. If they were closed, I wouldn't have been able to order. I order well before the 10:30pm delivery closing time and my driver got there right at 10:30pm, the order should have been ready and able to be picked up. They also still should have had the doors open until at least their 11:00pm regular closing time so the driver should have been able to snag my order regardless. Both the driver AND myself got confirmation the order was received AND that it was ready for pick up at about 10:15pm (again, before 10:30pm). If they really didn't get the order, neither of us would have gotten the ping that it was ready for pick up. The store workers have to do that manually so if they really didn't get the order, they wouldn't have been able to do that. They straight lied to the driver, the driver had me on speaker phone (called me immediately when they found the doors closed) so I over heard the whole conversation the driver had with the worker. The driver asked them if they'd make the order because they still had 30 minutes until closing and was told no, they had closed half an hour ago. If my order was placed too late or if the driver had gotten there past closing time the restaurant would have canceled the order themselves but to say they never received it and closed obviously before their stated times is just lazy and deceptive. Again, if they never got the order, there is no way for it to have been marked confirmed and then marked ready for pick up. They are two separate steps the restaurant worker have to manually do. It would be impossible to do otherwise. I'm done with this restaurant. It's already annoying they lie about it being ready when it's not but at least I usually still get my food. This was just too much though. Not only do they screw a customer out of food, they screwed that poor driver out of money. Since it was Halloween I had tipped $20 in the app and had another $10 cash I was going to tip when they got here. They wasted the drivers time, gas, wear and tear on their car and missed other viable deliveries because they had to deal with this. Drivers LOSE money when this happens. My brother works for GrubHub and he says the drivers get at most $2 when an order is canceled this way and I end up still hungry after waiting an hour for food that was not just marked confirmed but also marked ready for pick up. If you can't do an order for whatever reason, like it's past closing or delivery time fine, but don't lie about it and don't string the customer and driver along by both confirming the order and then saying it's ready. Be honest and do the right thing. SHAME ON YOU FIVE GUYS! Don't give these lazy liars your patronage. read more

I ordered from here on a Friday evening through Door Dash. Whether it was a Five Guys employee or the Door Dash driver, someone grabbed the wrong order for me. Door Dash gave me a full refund and I reordered the same meal. Someone at the store must have caught it because Door Dash said 90-105 mins (it's a Friday night so I wasn't surprised) and within 20 mins I got a text saying my order was on it's way. I really appreciate that someone made sure the replacement order was fast tracked... and it was all delicious, as expected. I will definitely order from this Five Guys again! read more

Great burger, fun shake- fabulous fries! One BIG problem during this COVID-19 there is NO SELF SERVICE FOUNTAIN USE or SELF SERVE KETCHUP! You have to put a table in front of the soda machine and man it with one of your employees. Make the ketchup for the customers and ask if they want it. It's so difficult at times to find a place to quickly eat at that won't cross contaminate for a celiac like myself. I don't remember the last time I was at five guys but i know it wasn't memorable. I thought that I would give them a try. I am very pleased. I got a burger bowl that was well presentable and my lettuce wasn't soaked in grease. The burger was cooked to perfection and the fry's were cooked well and crispy just the way I like. It also looked like the team that is there now works really well with each other. GET THIS I could eat the whole thing without it falling apart!!I'm not sure what kind of a genie they have wrapping burgers back there but kudos!!!
