Wife and I were in Tualatin on a business trip in Tualatin and decided to look for a Mexican spot for dinner. We are not big fans of Tex-Mex or desert southwest style Mexican food that we get in Nevada, so we were hoping for something more authentic, in terms of flavors. We stumbled upon this place as it was walking distance from where we were staying. All I can say, is it was a fortuitous stumble to say the least. The restaurant is in a small strip mall, and you order at a counter. Service was great and the gentleman at the counter was friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing. We both had the taco, enchilada and flauta combination plate. All the flavors were on point. To call this authentic is almost a disservice. This place has genuine Mexican food and flavors! If you're in town and looking for a genuine Mexican spot for lunch or dinner...do not hesitate visiting Rosie's. You will be glad you did! read more

Ordered a chicken quesadilla to-go. It was ready right when it said it would be. Inside is clean with about eight tables. All of the food was well prepared and fresh. The flavor of the chicken in the quesadilla was really good and the red salsa is fantastic. It even came with a few fresh veggies on the side. It seems we may have found our new favorite Mexican food spot! Rosie's is a little hole in the wall by the Tualatin Commons lake and their food slaps! The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is VERY clean. Do yourself a favor and don't skip the rice and beans and stock up on all the sauces on your visit (be warned- the habanero is HOT). We got 2 super burritos (asada and pastor) to-go and look forward to coming back to try other items on the menu! read more

We randomly found this place but have lived in the area for 4+ years. Food was 10/10. We have struggled to find authentic Mexican food in Sherwood/tigard/Tualatin. This is the best - tastes just like home (CA). We ordered Menudo, Pasole, tacos, tamales and a quesadilla just to try a bit of everything. Not a single thing disappointed us! Tortillas were fresh and handmade, tamale was moist and good flavor, asada was cooked perfectly with very little fat! It was a MEATY taco! Salsas were bomb! We came for the Tualatin River Greenway Trail near by, and was super hungry when we found Rosie's Kitchen right by the lake. All the customers seem to be Mexicans, which is a great sign for some authentic food. We has the caldos for the first time, our six year old absolutely loved it. The flour tortillas that came with the fajitas was simply one of the best that I ever had, the chicken fajita itself was fine, nothing special but the different sauces/salsa really gave the dish a lot of life. My 9 year old enjoyed her cheese Quesadilla with beans and rice, which was pretty plain, but that's what she likes. Overall the service was good, it is a bit pricey consider it's more of a Cafe than a restaurant, not much decor, but I'm sure the cost of being at heavy foot traffic spot is factored in. I regret not trying their tacos and sope, so we'll be back again when we return to the area. read more

Highly recommend this place. One thing that is a little odd is that the online menu doesn't really match the actual menu. It's not that kind of place though. I'm glad they are getting the extra business from online traffic but I can tell it's not really their thing. This is the kind of place where the locals roll in and get their Caldo and other authentic wares. Everything we tried was great. The sopes had an amazing texture. The pastor was flavorful. Researched for places to eat on our way back home from a hike. Ended up here and was so pleasantly surprised not only at the reasonable prices, and great tasting food but also at the friendly and warm service. I got two shrimp tacos for I believe it was a little over $2 each but they were generously stuffed and I was full off of $5! :) (I have a hearty appetite so that's a lot to say). Wow, what a pleasant surprise!! This place is nicely tucked away from the main road. It looks very unassuming from the outside but it is a delight! My coworker and I were looking for a quick lunch spot and wanted something else besides the fast food joints we usually go for. I opened my Yelp app and looked for restaurants nearby. Rosie's Kitchen has several good reviews so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant and bathrooms was super clean and well maintained. Our hostess was super friendly and helpful. All the staff was very nice. Our order was out rather quickly. We noticed the restaurant filled up soon after we arrived. I ordered the $6 Jr burrito meal with adobada as my meat of choice. Caldo had great flavor, big pieces of chicken and lots of veggies in a flavorful soup, served with tortillas on the side. I also got the combination plate with enchilada, flautas and taco served with beans and rice. I picked carnitas as my meat choice, super flavorful and fried to perfection in my flauta. Chips and fresh salsa while you wait for your food. Ordered al pastor enchiladas take out to enjoy the experience at home! The meat selection is amazing, so many variations to choose from asada, pollo, carnitas, pastor and more. The place is small, but they have dine in with social distancing. Service was excellent. I don't do dairy and the server was thoughtful to ask me about the cheese and sour cream in my to go order. I so appreciate that going beyond customer service! The food is great, the service was exceptional. Order at the counter and they deliver it to you along with fresh hot chips and salsa. I always go for my favorites; pastor, lengua, and adobada. Didn't disappoint. They also bring you three different choices of mild, medium and hot sauces with every order. I recommend the chipotle or hot. Yumm. The young man working the counter as well as the tiny dining room was amazing. Very efficient, attentive and friendly. Please be aware that if you go during lunch time, there is a crowd and regular clientele that order to go. Do not be impatient because the wait is worth it - that's why they are always busy. I'm all about supporting local businesses and this is one of my favorite local businesses! To start, the owner here, Luis, is so attentive and welcoming when you come in. He remembers you by name and knows you every time you come in. That's quality service that very few restaurants have! The food is to die for and so fresh, it's always made to order.
