Drove in from out of town and was craving Mexican, so decided to try this place out. I wish I could give this place a 5/5 because everything was great, like really good: service, food, and drinks. Here's the only caveat, there are no prices listed on the three page drink menu.. I had asked before ordering how much the mojito marg was (this was really good btw) and the waiter said $14.95. When the receipt came we ended up being charged more. My boyfriend ordered a house margarita which came out to the same price as a specialty margarita, which was strange for a house marg. My wife was getting her nails done nearby and I was the ride...so stopped in here for the very first time for lunch. They have a reasonable lunch menu...and so I opted for the one taco and one enchilada plate. It came fast and hot...and was quite tasty! The cheese enchilada was my favorite...and the beans and rice were nice as well: with a soda it was just over $20...a deal in today's prices! My sister & I had margaritas. They were served in a goblet. Made with sweet & sour mix. We ordered them with Hornitos Tequila. Large portion yes, but we prefer an authentic margarita over a large portion. Chips tasted like they were fried in old oil. Salsa was heavy on tomato sauce not fresh tomatoes, onions, jalapeños & cilantro. The salsa was devoid of flavor. I had the Caldo de Pollo. I loved it, other than some of the chicken was dry. I have been there many times. The place has always been full of customers. Most of the tables this time were empty. The portions were quite a bit smaller and tasted differently. Great stop for lunch! A hidden gem for sure. My fiancé enjoyed a big iced margarita which he loved because they had Cazadores, his favorite tequila. We also ordered a chicken mole enchilada plate, the chicken tortilla soup & the guacamole. The guac is fresh and fantastic. You will get chips and salsa complimentary too! The soup was one of the best I've had. I added a big scoop of the salsa, and some squeeze of lime to my bowl. So filling and tasty. The mole enchilada plate was no frills, but delicious nonetheless. The beans and rice were pretty basic and straight forward but the mole sauce was very flavorful and I picked up on the Mexican chocolate notes immediately. The staff makes the whole visit better with their extremely positive & genuinely friendly attitudes. It was a really rainy day when we went, but I still was taken with the nice views of the water and ducks from our table near the windows. On a sunny day it'd be awesome to sit at one of their outside tables! Can't wait to come back to try the tacos, and their brûléed flan I spotted on the dessert menu. read more

I've visited this Juan Colorado many times and it is always a great experience. Every item I've tried from their extensive menu has been delicious. The portions are generous too. There is a full bar and they make a scrumptious bloody mary! Meals always begin with complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is chunky and full of flavor. I'm a vegetarian and there are plenty of items on their menu for me to choose from. Service has always been outstanding. From the moment you are greeted, our servers have always been very friendly and attentive. Juan Colorado is located alongside Tualatin lake at the Commons. It is a 5 minute walk from the Tualatin WES station and the stop for bus 76. There is comfortable inside dining. There is also outdoor dining lakeside, which is my favorite on a pleasant day. The huge red umbrellas provide shade while enjoying your meal. For delicious Mexican food with outstanding service, I highly recommend this Juan Colorado restaurant! read more

If you are thinking of stopping here on your bicycle, reconsider. I received the most hostile reception I have ever experienced at any restaurant here today. There was confusion about where we were supposed to sit, and they aggressively ushered us away from the outside tables while a server opened a table umbrella which hit me in the face before we even had a chance to politely remove our bikes and vacate. I used to be a semi-regular here five years ago, and had mostly pleasant experiences. Today, we just wanted to enjoy some $15 margaritas near the lake after a long bike ride. After today's experience, I will never patronize this restaurant again. read more

Tualatin location: I really like Mexican cuisine. The food served here is a bit spicier than I've eaten elsewhere and that's in a good way. I want flavor, but not hotness. Service is courteous and prompt. Outdoor seating overlooking a pond is a real bonus on warm days. We will return, definitely. read more

This was my wife's and mine first time eating here. The service was excellent and very friendly staff. I had their fish tacos. They were the street type. And full of fish. They came with picadillo and sliced avocado. I would defiantly order them again. Wife had a pork quesadilla. It had a nice amount of pork and a nice amount of cheese. We used to go to Juan Colorado when they were a few blocks away, on Boones. Not much has changed with Tualatin lake location (better view I guess). It was never amazing Mexican food. Everything tastes the same. Menu is way to big and clunky. Drink prices not advertised. They stuck me for $11 for a 16 oz modello beer. Yikes! Server was nice enough, but eventually forgot us. My son and I got burritos. $17.50 each. Food presentation was good. Chips were stale. The requested Spicy salsa wasn't spicy. Next time we'll head to Rosie's for better and cheaper Mexican fare. read more

Had a horrible experience last night at their restaurant. I made an online order and upon confirmation, my receipt said my order would be ready by 6:30 pm. I was already upset that when you order online, they make you tip before you can even checkout and finalize the order. I always tip. But that depends on the service I get. I used to cook in a restaurant so I kind of know the ropes. Anyways, I arrived at the time they said my order would be ready. The cashier working said that my order would still be a few minutes. I didn't complain and just took a seat to wait for my food. I can understand things can happen in a restaurant kitchen to throw the timing of things a little off. But I had wait there another 25 minutes for my order to be ready. What was VERY upsetting was that the staff there were making sure to get the food out to the patrons who were dining in (who all were caucasian). I know what time my order was placed. It said it on my receipt. It was 6:21 pm. The first order received should be the first order that gets prepared; does not Matter if it's to go or dining in! Another upsetting thing was when while I was waiting for my order, the waitress was blending up some mixed drink of some kind. I politely asked her if they made cocktails to go. She said yes and then just kept about her business. I said that I would like one but I got no response. She was tended to everyone else in the restaurant except me. Making sure they had their chips and salsa, beverages refilled and everything in between. When finally she was finished and caught up with everyone in the restaurant (once again all caucasian), I just told her no necesito nada. When I told her that she looked so surprised like she was actually going to help me. A culmination of all those things just really made it a frustrating kind of night. It's kind of sad because I've been there many times before. The food has always been decent. But with how bad my service was last night, my family and I will not be dining there anymore. What ever happened to good service? And having to tip the place before you even place your order? I don't think anyone would have tipped them if they got the service that I did. Don't know if it was because I wasn't caucasian and my money is somehow different than their money; or maybe it was because my order was to go that I didn't receive good service (and once again having to tip before I can even finalize my order). When we called later to speak with "Jose" the owner to notify them of their bad service, he wasn't there, or any manager. Funny. It's a Friday night and one of the busiest nights of the week and nobody was in charge who we could speak to. I guess I'm just a hopeless customer who still believes in good service and tipping based on service. read more

My husband and I ate at the one wilsonville last night, first off they have no prices on there drink menu, I ordered a house margarita it was 13.95 unbelievable my husband ordered avocado tostada it was all lettuce hardly any meat and no beans to be found and it was 17.95. I picked up an order using Uber Eats. I got 3 chorizo tacos and nachos. Nachos had the cheese melted on there. It was cold and inedible. The tacos had just one tortilla and they were so greasy you couldn't pick them up to eat. I had to use a fork. I couldn't get though the second one. Just too much grease. I understand it's chorizo and it's going to have some grease, but this was ridiculous. Sounds like when people sit down they have a much better experience. read more
