cute place!! the cashier was silly and the service was quick. the senor burrito was good, the regular nachos were dece, they didn't melt the cheese on the senor nachos but they were still really good! cute cute decor in this place and nice music. good cheap stop.

    A waste of 9$

If you have the smallest appetite on this planet and want to be screwed out of 9$ come here. I used to come 4-5 times a week but this is the last straw. Maybe 8 pieces of meat. 50% of this entree is lettuce. Is this because my girlfriend picked it up and you judged it off her? I have to go out and get more food now because you skimped me hard on this enchilada plate. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE HUNGRY

Staff is friendly, food is fine. I feel like you can judge a restaurant by the salsa, and I am not a big fan of their salsa :/

I ordered the "al a carte" burrito (I wanted carne asada but they only had ground beef). I asked what the difference was between the regular lunch "beef" burrito and the al a carte version. Was told the lunch version was a plate with beans and rice on the side. I decided to get the al a carte version as we already had a bowl of chips and salsa and beans on the table. My wife ordered the "No. 17" special and asked for shredded beef as the protein. OMG - when my burrito arrived it was just a tortilla with ground beef inside - no beans, rice, salsa or lettuce - WTH. To make matters worse, the ground beef was extra ground - as in size of gains of sand like a puree. My wife was generous in sharing the rice off her plate and I scooped up refried beans from the complementary chips and dip bowl. My wife was quiet about her meal and didn't share with me if she was liking her "No. 17" special. When the check came, they over charged for the "No. 17", was listed at $10 on the board, but they charged $12. My wife said don't get it fixed - as the service was good. I complied. Then after we left and I was still complaining to her how bad my "ground beef - extra fine" burrito was that was missing beans and rice and salsa. She then told me her No. 17 was not shredded beef as she ordered but the same extra fine "ground beef" that I had the misfortune to eat. Lesson learned - I will not be returning to this place Absolutely horrible food.

Stand out food and very friendly and attentive service. Lengua tacos - perfectly cooked fall apart lengua and the portions are generous! Rice and beans - at last a place that knows how to season their rice and make some cheesy creamy beans!!! Chile relleno burrito - so much flavor! They did right by the humble poblano pepper and actually took the time to roast it - and you can tell - the smoky sweet poblano flavor really comes through and the breading around it even though it's sandwiched in a burrito layered with cheese and rice stays perfectly in tact. This burrito is a stand out. Guacamole - perfect. You can tell there's no filler it's all avocado, tomatoes and lime. Complimentary Salsas- deep and rich smoky salsas, zingy and tangy avocado line salsas - these salsas pack so much depth of flavor - you'd never expect this caliber of salsa from something housed in a squirt bottle. Flan - oh yes, come hither. Reach and creamy with a lot of body and just the right level of sweetness. If you love Mexican food and have had your heart broken by the mediocre meh-ish food options around the metro area - come here !!!

The asada burrito was very well seasoned, great ratio of asada and other ingredients and great price for the size. The carnitas quesadilla was good but nothing exceptional. I was happy I could get 2 different proteins with the taquitos but unfortunately the meat inside was overdone and I could not tell what I was eating. The outside had a great crisp but the inside left me wondering what it was. I would definitely come back for the asada burrito and the quesadilla. It's street parking which can be tricky in that area. Their menu had lots of great options. It was my first time here and was a little bummed that chips and salsa had to be ordered and was not complimentary. Also we had some kids in our group and they didn't have a mild salsa so the kids didn't really eat any of the salsa. Personally I liked their house salsa and also appreciated that they had 3 sauces you could use for your food at a counter to the side which included mild (verde salsa), medium and spicy. The kids didn't like the verde salsa either. Highlights- My daughter loved her steak taco and I really liked my 2 tacos- camarones and barbacoa. All 3 tacos had lots of protein on them which was awesome. We really liked our waitress Kimberlee. She took great care of us! Our friend really liked her margarita and fun bowl. Another friend loved her calabacitas taco. Things to note- There is not a kid's menu, but they do have a little quesadilla on their menu. I personally would skip the side of beans and rice and order another taco. We got a couple of orders of beans and rice and that was the only thing no one (adults and kids) didn't really liked. We ordered guacamole to start and it didn't have much flavor it was okay, but not great. There is a 5% 'happy kitchen' fee added to the bill. Overall I would recommend checking out this place! I hope to go back in the future to try their mole negro enmoladas.

I asked if I could get a wet towel to wipe down a table. An employee came to clean the table for us. As we waited for our number to be called, I commented that I wished they had chips and salsa. My friend said they do, you just have to pay for it. I guess I should have looked at the menu a little closer. Finally got our food, and it looked appetizing. I was not disappointed with the flavors or temperature of the food. The relleno was authentic, and the cheese in the enchilada had just the right amount of pull. The rice was good too. My friend commented that she was going to save half of her enormous burrito for later. Well, that didn't happen. She finished it all. I had too much food and took it back to the hotel to have for dinner the next day. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely come back.

Fresh, clean, simple and packed with flavor is the best way to describe the food here. Atmosphere is casual and inviting. Their "rival" Holy Taco, honestly, doesn't even hold a candle to this new spot. They both offer different takes on Mexican cusine but if you're looking for simple flavor and not a taco deep fried or with strange jam, this is the place for you. Another highlight is the simplicity of their menu and price point. Even though I miss my carnitas, the way they prepare the chicken for their chicken taco mended my carnita heart instantly.
