Original Gold Coast sold business and/or name a few years ago & this company using that name are beyond awful. Left filthy mess. Replaced an old gas pipe to start a wood fire when its NOW only used for gas. $350.00. Neighbor ssid "that doesnt look right". Had another chimney sweep company come out & inspection inspection. They were shocked. Wrong pipe, careless installation and location of pipe in front of ceramic logs near opening was all wrong. Potential gas poisioning. I had to pay another $400.00 to correct & install a new setup according to CODE. read more

Very friendly in low key way. Didn't overcharge us. Put chimney caps on both chimneys. Said neither chimney looked used before I used one couple weeks ago. Blowback of smoke into house was either wind outside or lack of power to push smoke up by Duraflame log. If I ever decide to use fireplace again - Life Lesson - only use real wood and no fires on windy nights. Although, Matthew said having caps will hopefully keep wind from coming down Chimney. Dave my neighbor said occasionally we get Swallows - so cap will keep them out too! read more

I didnt take a before pic, but I did take an after pic (attached). Gold Coast Chimney Sweep did an excellent job. I spoke to them on Friday, and they were here the Monday after. Had them clean the chimney which probably hasnt been cleaned in over a decade. Also had him pull out the gas logs and swap in a gas pipe to start regular wood. He was super efficient, and did a very nice clean job. I cant wait to use it in the coming weeks as it gets cold around here. read more

Great to find someone reliable who's not trying to rip you off! Matthew was great. Arrived on time, gave our fireplace a thorough inspection and fixed the log-lighter at no extra charge. 11/10 Stars. Mike came out to do an inspection and possible cleaning on my older fireplace. It did not need a cleaning and he inspected and found things that the home inspector did not find. The gas company came out to turn on the gas and could not get the valve to work. Mike found the problem as a misalignment of the key and the valve. Simple fix... But he could have charged me hundreds of dollars to fix something that wasn't broken. We did replace the chimney Cap and the gas pan which were corroded and broken. I am thoroughly pleased with the honesty and thoroughness of this company. I highly recommend Mike for all your chimney and fireplace needs. read more

So glad we contacted Gold Coast Chimney Sweep! Matthew arrived promptly and was professional and friendly when we met him. He inspected both our fireplaces. We thought we'd need both cleaned but he said only one needed it, the one that burned wood. The other burns a gas fire with stone logs. Matthew said the gas one didn't need cleaning. We appreciated his honesty. Also, both chimney caps had blown off during recent heavy winds. Matthew put them back on and made sure they were secure. He didn't try to sell us new ones. Overall, he was competent and knowledgeable about all things fireplaces. He was personable, and explained everything to us in a way that we could understand. He answered any questions that we had as well. At the end of all his work he only charged us for one chimney sweep. This is even when he spent a good deal of time doing a lot of extra work on both our fireplaces. I recommend Gold Coast Chimney Sweep without hesitation. We will definitely refer them to others. We plan on using them again anytime we need chimney and fireplace service. read more
