Had an awesome experience with Leo and the Pacific Fireside staff! Leo came by yesterday for an estimate and inspection of my existing fireplace and helped me choose the appropriate gas ceramic logs. They convinced me not to do an electrical fireplace insert. He was super helpful, professional, and just great to work with. He just came by to install the logs today and everything looks amazing!! He was super thorough and neat. Wouldn't hesitate to do business again with them in the future! read more

Performed a cleaning, repair and installation. Outstanding service, flexible scheduling, will use them again.

I had Pacific Fireside do work for me at the end of last year, and overall, I'm really happy with how everything turned out. We had a strong soot smell coming from our fireplace, likely from years of wood burning by the previous owners. Eli initially recommended a full cleaning along with gas logs and a top-sealing damper. When that didn't fully resolve the issue, he came back out to reassess and suggested installing a full gas insert as the next step. What I really appreciated was that Eli credited us for the previous work (gas logs and damper) and helped us choose an insert that made sense. The only hiccup we experienced was with the third-party vendor supplying the insert, since we initially had to pay them directly and ran into some issues. However, Eli stepped in, handled the situation, and arranged to pay the vendor himself, allowing us to reimburse him instead--which made things much smoother. Throughout both the initial service and the final installation, his crew was prompt, courteous, and efficient. read more

It's always amazing when a vendor sets an appointment and then calls and asks if they can come early. Eli was considerate and quick in identifying the issue. He took care of it and then asked if there was anything else needed and offered his electricians services. read more

Had to come here to write up what a great experience I had with Eli and Pacific Fireside. My house unfortunately has had its share of issues from plumbing to A/C, so I've called a lot of contractors and service providers to come and fix things. I've had good ones and bad ones and Eli really shined about the rest of them. Starting with schedule and communication the process couldn't have been simpler, and he was so respectful when coming into my home and careful when performing the service of my fireplace unit. It turned out my issue was thankfully minor, but he took the time to inspect everything to make sure there weren't any other issues hiding under the surface. Could not recommend them more. read more

Very good inspector and cleaning crew. Reliable, helpful information on fireplace maintenance. Fast and clean workers for a fireplace!

Terrible follow through and wastes your time. Came to my house and never followed through on any answers. Waste of my time and I'm already spread thin. I think it's incredibly rude and flakey. read more

Prompt and friendly service with fair pricing. They were able to come on a holiday weekend with one day notice for a fireplace clean.

I needed an old gas stove style heater replaced and Pacific Fireside was able to help me envision the space with a new gas fireplace. They managed the project from demo to completion and ensuring all permits were obtained. We are very happy with the result. Their installer Smith who finished the job took very good care of our living room and ensured we were satisfied with the final finishing work. read more

My gas fireplace had suddenly stopped working and I wasn't sure who to call. I sent out a request on Yelp, and not only was Pacific Fireside the first to respond, they were incredibly communicative, organized, and explained exactly what the diagnostic cost would be. As promised, they called me when they were on their way to let me know the exact time, and were able to fix the wiring issue on site and wound up charging me a lower rate than initially quoted. Knowledgable, personable, and professional every step of the way. Highly recommend! read more

We had a great experience with Pacific Fireside converting our gas fireplace to wood-burning. They also converted the fireplace from plaster and old 90s tile to brick, which completely changed the fireplace and the den for the better. These guys worked really hard and got it all done in just a few days while answering all of our questions along the way. I would recommend them to anyone and we will be recommending them to our friends with fireplaces. The pricing was very reasonable as well. A+ read more

Fireplace: Majestic Jade 42 in direct vent with smart tv kit for redirected venting - 5 yrs old I had called several places and pacific fireside assured me they could figure out what was wrong with my fireplace as it wouldn't turn on w the remote. The troubleshooting diagnosis visit was $250 with $150 going towards services if you use them to repair the issues. It took about a week for someone to come out. He was very sweet. After 15-20 mins he said the fireplace would need a new control module and they would send me an estimate the next day which happened to be Thanksgiving. And they did except the estimate was $2200!!! I had looked up the cost of the control module for my fireplace online and it cost $209. This fireplace brand new is $3000. I was like ... wow why is the cost so high! Their response was: Hi! Replacing the control module in a fireplace system can sometimes affect other components. Our pricing takes into account not just the cost of the part but also the potential impact on other parts, the technician's expertise and labor, and the value of the warranty for your peace of mind. I asked them to send me an itemized estimate and asked why then I wouldn't just get a new fireplace and got no response. So I called another company the day after Thanksgiving and they sent out a guy who diagnosed the problem as a faulty remote. He happened to have a new one on him and used that to further troubleshoot and found nothing else wrong w the fireplace. He made sure the wiring was correct, the direct venting outside is correct, the venting system under the house was correct, cleaned the fireplace. And all that including the remote was $450!!!!!! And now it works perfectly. I'm not sure what pacific fireside is doing but I can only imagine that after the control module was changed and the fireplace still having the problem of not turning on.. that the $2200 would have continued to skyrocket. read more

I contacted them originally because of their reviews.Eli came over all the way from Woodland Hills to Gardena and did a thorough inspection on my chimney from top to bottom showed me a few areas that we needed to fix so I can be safe to burn wood now that gas is through the roof in pricing. He was not some kind of pushy salesman or anything like that and was very thorough with pictures and videos on his iPad. I would highly recommend him to any of my neighbors or friends and family. Thanks for keeping my home safe and we are ready to burn wood. Thanks Brandon with 2DayBlinds-Gardena read more

We had a problem for first since we installed our fireplace almost 30 years ago. We researched a service to call and evaluate the problem. The owner Eli came out and determined what the problem was. He left our home to go to Home Depot to pick up some caulking. He came back promptly and proceeded to neatly tape off the the area and fill the space cleanly and neatly. If you are reading the review you will be smart to deal with Eli and have the same experience. He is first class. Irwin z read more

We have 3 fireplaces. One is made to be lit by an ignition switch and the other 2 are made to be lit by a remote. None of these were installed by Pacific Fireside. They've probably been in the house for about 7 or 8 years. The percentage of the electric starters working was about 20% of the time. Just super annoying to deal with, especially when the batteries needed to be replaced, etc. Wanted a more reliable solution of just turning the gas on and using a lighter to light the fire. Called and made an appointment to have the 2 fireplaces with electric boxes turned back into regular gas fireplaces...where I just turn the gas key and use a lighter to light it. Daniel arrived on time and went straight to work. His knowledge and workmanship was excellent and he was very respectful and personable. He explained everything to me and let me know the costs upfront, which were very fair. I gave the go-ahead for the work to be done and within an hour and a half, both fireplaces had been completed. I also asked him to take a look at a 3rd fireplace and he was able to repair the needed to be repaired so it would turn on with the wall switch that had been installed by the previous owners. Overall...very happy with the quality of work, the skill and the technician. Highly recommend Pacific Fireside for all of your fireplace needs and repairs! read more

Pacific Fireside provided great customer service. They were friendly and professional. The fireplace was repaired in a timely manner.

Eli did my fireplace caps. Super great guy who I became friends with. Honest, hard working, trustworthy, and most important professional. I had called to see if they could hook up my bbq but he does not do those kind of installations. He inspected all my chimneys and flu'es. Everything looked good since I only really use gas logs so he saved me the unneeded chimney sweeps anyone else would have sold me on. Again, great business owner whom I highly recommend. read more

I highly recommend Pacific Fireside. They are Kind, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. They not only inspected my fireplace and chimney, but also cleaned, painted, and installed our new gas log system. They were great at communicating with my HOA with what needed to be done on the exterior, and even made me instructional video on how to use the gas fireplace safely, for me to share with my family. They took great lengths to protect my floors and furniture, and did a beautiful job of cleaning up afterwards. Most importantly....(as a female that has had a lot of workers/home experts in her home & have dealt with numerous sketchy individuals) ... and felt completely safe and taken care of by their team. Sadly, trust and safety have become ever-more important in this world. Thank you again, Pacific Fireside read more

I highly recommend Pacific Fireside for chimney/fireplace services. We asked for a chimney inspection because our chimney cap fell off and we've never had it inspected before (our house is over 90 years old). Eden came and provided a very thoughtful inspection with several recommendations for improvements/repairs. We had just replaced our HVAC system and had a very tight budget to work with, but Eden very kindly lowered his quote to make it work for us. After the work was completed, Eden walked us through everything that gave me confidence in what he had done. I was also very pleased with the email communication and invoicing that the Pacific Fireside office provided. Itemized quotes, timely communication - would highly recommend! read more
