Service was quick, efficient, at a reasonable rate, and thorough. Will go with them again.

I contacted Jonathan to arrange for a technician to clean our chimney. It had been approximately two years since Chimney Sweep Masters last serviced our chimney. We were satisfied with their previous service and chose to use them again this year. Once again, we were very pleased with the prompt and professional service provided by Robbie, the technician. P.S. We live in Santa Clarita and were happy to know that Chimney Sweep Masters serviced our area. read more

Too bad they only offer 5 stars-I would've rated them 10! We had a fireplace service out a couple of weeks back. The tech opened up the fireplace, banged around, and determined that we needed $2550.00 worth of work done on the unit. Jonathan was my second opinion for the job. He opened it up, looked around, and determined that it simply needed a good cleaning and some adjusting. He cleaned the unit and the exhaust, worked on it for roughly an hour, and had it working like new, for less than half the price the other company quoted us. On top of all this, Jonathan explained to us exactly how the unit worked so we would have a better understanding of the lighting process. Now a bit about Jonathan. This man is bright (extremely), honest (my instinct tells me as much), and has a frankness in his demeanor that is fresh and welcome in these times where everyone seems to be on the grift. THANK YOU JONATHAN!!!!! This was an excellent experience! read more

Chimney Sweep Masters are the best in the business. We know, because we called various others and none responded like CSM. Jonathan and his team are incredibly professional and responsive. Our technician, Asher, was punctual, detailed, knowledgeable, respectful, patient and did an amazing job cleaning and inspecting our chimney. He also gave us suggestions on safe fireplace usage and repairs we should consider in six months, which we absolutely will! The pricing was extremely fair considering their expertise and excellent customer service. Look no further, this company and their technicians know what they are doing and we definitely recommend them 100%! Don't hesitate, call them now! read more

I had them come out to do an inspection-which they charged $69 for. I knew i needed a cleaning and was curious how much they would charge for the service. When they arrived they went up on the roof and looked in the firebox. They told me I needed a deep cleaning and the cost would be $699. This was by far the most expensive quote I got. I eventually got the chimney swept for $230. The problem with this type of service is that everything is subjective so it is difficult to know exactly what is needed and to compare quotes side by side. That said, because Chimney Sweep Master's quote was so much higher than the others I got- I'm pretty confident that their quote of $699 was a bit over board. read more

Barry was awesome, he arrived on time and after doing an inspection, walked us through the various aspects of items we should do for safety/code reasons, and other choices that would be more for appearance. We had a couple "must do" items and ultimately added in some things that would lengthen the time between needing services and provide a more pleasing look when we do use the fireplace. I'd never contracted fireplace services before, but Barry and his boss worked on fitting into our budget and made both of us comfortable with the quality and work they performed. We celebrated with a beautiful fire that one of our dogs curled up beside. Five stars and I'd call them anytime we need anything fireplace related. Thank you! read more

Hello. I had my chimney sweeped/cleaned by Chimney Sweep Master on Feb 11th, 2025. Solomon did an excellent job. He provided me with a detailed explanation of his findings to include pictures after his initial inspection along with reasonable pricing prior to starting any work. Solomon also provide pictures of his finished work immediately after. He was very professional, on-time, quite, thorough, and finished quickly within a reasonable time frame. I mostly appreciated that there was absolutely "no mess" left behind. I didn't even have to clean or sweep up after. I also truly appreciate Jonathan (The Manager) following up after to ensure my satisfaction. I will definitely be using them again in the future for my annual (or bi-annual) chimney sweeps. Arrived on time. Very professional. Gave an accurate assessment of our chimney cleaning needs. Customer service was 10/10.

This review is for my property in CA. I got an email from my home insurance that my chimney was missing a Spark Arrestor or a cap for the chimney chute. Without the spark arrestor or cap, sparks from the chimney might cause a fire to the roof. So I reached out to multiple contractors for quotes and Chimney Sweep Masters was the cheapest. I am really happy with Solomon communication throughout the process and his quality of work. Thanks to Chimney Sweep Masters and Solomon, my home insurance approved the installation and I have home insurance coverage! read more

I enjoyed my experience working with this company. They were referred by a neighboring contractor. I was a little jarred when I called to make an appointment as I thought I had reached a call center, but they took care of me and scheduled me quickly. Day of apt there was a two hour arrival time window, which always has me weary, but Robbie, my technician made it in time and most importantly was highly communicative about ETA & arrival. Totally set me at ease and helped me stay on schedule for my day. Once here Robbie took the time to educate me on my fireplace and maintenance schedule which I found helpful as a first time homeowner. The quote was higher than I expected, being advised $150 as a minimum, but my personal being a bit higher ($425), which was to be expected as I've not used it for two years and the previous owner burned wood logs, so it needed a deeper clean. When I expressed my fiscal hesitation to complete the job on the day, the company was able to work with me to find financing that gets them paid and supports my budget. The total time to clean was about 40min and totally non invasive. So I am certainly happy I called and look forward to enjoying this feature in my space to make it feel cozy and homey. Thank you so much team! read more

Called for fireplace and chimney cleaning. Just based on the fact that I called for an estimate, at first could not get an estimate because they needed to come evaluate it to estimate, which I said I understood, but I was just wondering ballpark figure - if nothing was wrong and it was a straightforward cleaning, - how much it would be, and was finally given a figure. It was very high like $200 higher than any of the other five or six places I had already called!), and I made a little noise of surprise, so the person went into a diatribe about how they were better about everything than everyone else. Bonded, insured, certified, blessed by God and Bouddha or whoever, just top of the top is best of the best better than anyone. I tried to stop the woman and say "thank you. Just comparing prices and services right now," but she w ould not stop talking, started offering me all different kinds of "deals" just to get my business. I finally said thank you. I'm going to hang up now and the person said that they would come out for free to do an estimate instead of charging. I explained I was no longer interested because she kept changing deals and it felt scam me and that I was not even comfortable talking to her, let alone having them come to my house, and I hung up. I have since then received three phone calls and two texts trying to get my business, all of which I have said I'm not interested. Please leave me alone. Freaky. No idea how good a job they do. I would not want these people in my home. I feel like they're stalking me. read more

This review is not for the services as I decided to cancel after the guy came to my place. The way they trick you is they offer a price for a "basic sweep" which is actually just removing the ashes from the fireplace. They then offer to sweep the chimney for a price 6x more. Stay away. read more

Chimney Sweep Masters - Cap installation, crown sealer. - Chimney Sweeps Near Me

UPDATE: After this posting, Johnathan contacted me and reimbursed me $900. I'm posting this because I believe in transparency and honesty. I hope others will use my experience as a lesson, and make an informed choice about Chimney Sweep Masters. After the Eaton Fires, I was looking to get my two chimneys cleaned. I was originally quoted a $49 inspection fee per chimney, and told that cleanings started at $199. This seemed like a fair price, so I booked them. On the day of my service, the technician Isaac barely shined a flashlight into my fireplace and quoted a whopping $899 for each of my two chimneys. When I inquired about the price, I was told that this was an extremely complicated and dangerous job. We were able to "negotiate" for $1500...I was then taken aback when it took him barely less than one hour of work. I tried to reach Johnathan, the owner, to try to resolve my concerns, as I started to feel that I had grossly overpaid. Other companies were charging less than half of what I paid. I felt sick. I wanted to resolve this in a professional manner, over the phone, and give them the benefit of the doubt to rectify the payment situation. I waited four days before I heard from anyone other than the faux call center ladies. I finally heard back and was told that this job actually "wasn't so complicated" and that we could resolve this manner. He ended up reimbursing me $900. Next time, Chimney Sweep Masters, be transparent and charge a fair price from the very beginning. Customers shouldn't have to spend a week going back-and-forth to get their money back--this should have been transparent from the beginning. You lose a lot of trust when you operate this way. While I'm glad I got my money back, I am still questioning the integrity of this company. They aren't transparent, their quotes are ridiculously high, and they will take advantage of naive customers. If you communicate and stand your ground, you might be able to recoup some of your losses, but you shouldn't have to do that at all...so save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere! read more

This update is primarily from speaking with the owner of the business. Yes the contractor and I had a bit of disagreement. However after hearing out the owner, I will rate them a higher with customer care and satisfaction. Owner made it a point to get in touch with me, after multiple times I was unavailable. The owner was very honest and I heard I'm out. I would consider using them for a future job. As of now, the chimney situation has been taken care of.
