We found ourselves in the unfortunate position of needing to replace yet another defective low-e window in our home. Fortunately, like we did the previous year, we called the friendly and reliable folks at Go Glass in Lewes to come and do the job. We were not disappointed. And just like before, making an appointment was easy, the pricing was fair, communication was excellent and the workers came exactly on time. Replacing the lower sash was quick and expertly done. I'd like to give a HUGE shout-out to our GoGlass technicians, Jimmy and Dawonne, who went above and beyond by spending extra time rubbing and scraping-off some intense gunk present on the "new" window replacement sash. With a lot of elbow grease, they got it all off! They also spotted a small defect in the "new" window that I noted and will report. And in addition to fixing our window, they also checked out an unusual spin that developed on our GoGlass custom-made round glass tabletop. They discovered that one of the tab holders shifted to the center (likely from cleaning), which explained the spinning effect. So, they replaced and repositioned all the tabs, cleaned the table and set it all back to normal. Jimmy and Dawonne were awesome and deserve a raise! Absolutely horrible customer service. We are out 4 pieces of glass because the company ordered them incorrectly! Also, they have $900 of our money and only 2 of the 6 panes that were ordered are usable because they did not order all 6 panes the same type. They are unwilling to communicate, fix or find a solution. Would highly NOT recommend this company. I sent and email to the CEO and Manager of the Lewes location as well as placed 3 calls over the course of the last 4 weeks. ZERO response. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

They said they meant to call me but failed to. They said I missed my 10am appointment that they booked for 11 and I was there at 10:45. Not the same company in 2023! Doesn't honor commitments for custom quotes. Don't waste your time. We hired goglass to measure and install a wall of custom mirrors in 2017 and all went well. This year we contacted them for more custom work (shower glass and mirrors). Their sales person showed up and took measurements and promised a quote in 48 hours... More than a week later, we've not received a quote or any feedback... Really a disappointment. Never received e-mailed quote - they claimed they misspelled my e-mail address, and when I corrected them, they still never sent the quote. The request was simple - a glass cover for a square table. When I arrived at the showroom, I even had the young lady come out into their showroom so I could show her on their own sample the type of corners I wanted (slightly rounded, not to a perfect point) - an instruction I had also taken the time to emphasize on the telephone. She responded that the point is what they usually recommend, and I reiterated and enumerated for her the reasons that I wanted the rounded corners. When I got the glass home - you guessed it - the corners were squared, not rounded, as I had specifically requested. Looking over the work order, it appears she never even entered that particular detail. Why is it so hard in Sussex County to have people do what they are asked? read more

Purchased a 54 inch piece of glass for our kitchen table a month ago was told it would be ready on a Monday 3 weeks ago, rented a truck to pick up. Called and it wasnt ready said they get right on it. Another week goes by so we call them and they acted like they had no idea who we were. After being on hold they came back and said the order was lost but theyd get right on it and get back to us. Five days later and still no return call or email Nothing. I ordered a $32 piece of glass (by phone order) for a picture frame. I provided the measurements (47" long). I picked up the piece, took it home and attempted to place the glass in the frame. It was exactly 2" too short! The phone order was hand written by their customer care employee. I returned the glass (still in the frame) to the shop, and explained that I believe there was a mistake made in taking down the order. I'm not typically confrontational, yet I didn't wish to pay a second time for the same order. You see, at the time, I was in the process of opening my own business, and had a multitude of details to take care of each day. I was short on time, and not in the mood to hunt for another glass location, or starting over again, in getting my order taken care of elsewhere. However,I had no written proof that I didn't make the mistake. So I explained to the manager that I wouldn't have made an exact 2 INCH mistake. It is too large a gap...plus 47 written down, and 49 written down, are easy to misinterpret. I spoke quietly and kindly, hoping the manager would be reasonable in understanding the error. He was NOT. In fact, he was confrontational. stoic, brash and overall, nasty. He told me ALL their paperwork showed the figure over the phone given, was 47 inches, so they didn't make a mistake in cutting it the wrong measurement. I replied that it made sense for their paper trail to follow a 47 inch measurement - THEY initiated all the paperwork from the phone order, and their paperwork began with a handwritten measurement on a note pad! Their incorrect notes didn't mean I hadn't give the correct figure, of 49 inches. His only other comment was that they were in that business, so they couldn't have made the mistake. How arrogant, and uninformed is that comment?!?! The manager then added insult to the injury, by telling me that if they had to remove the incorrect glass from the the frame, and place the new glass in the frame (a matter which took a full 3 minutes -- I know - I did it there in front of him!) he was going to not only charge me $32 again to re-cut the original order, he was going to charge me an additional $30 for labor on top of it! SERIOUSLY?! Because there was a possible gray area in fault, I would have been willing to split the re-cutting cost with them...not happy, but willing. They would have covered their cost, and the re-cut would have at least been less expensive, easing the irritation to my time/effort etc. Doing so would have left room for the possibility that I, their customer, was not at fault. I understand errors happen. In sum, my experience with Mr. Go Glass in Lewes was unsatisfactory, and that their customer service - especially over such a minor amount of money, was horrible!!! I will NEVER patronize their business again. I urge other consumers to beware, and I fully intend to use every opportunity presented to me, to inform consumers to seek elsewhere in fulfilling their glass cutting needs. read more

We decided to hire this company as a sub to install 3 shower doors at the beach, mainly bc of convenience & they went out to see the job before the tile was complete. I am giving them 2stars bc the new glass looks great, as it should. Only time will tell. They must not deal with many high-end contractors- they expected to get paid immediately yesterday without us even seeing the finished product, let alone the homeowner! I just had Beau (not sure of the spelling) come and install a window replacement for me and Beau was THE MOST PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT AND FRIENDLY contractor that I have had come to my home to do work in the past 10 years! Beau was extremely respectful, polite and mannerly! "Yes, Ma'am, thank you Ma'am" When a contractor or service person comes to your home they are THE REPRESENTATIVE of that company, they become the company and Mr Go-Glass could not pick a better representative for their company than Beau! Been in Delaware 2 years and this company is the worst I've run into yet. Tried to by local ... tried to buy bricks and mortar ... can't do it with this company ... not open when they are supposed to be open ... takes two days to return a voicemail ... takes 3 days to get a simple estimate that I was told would arrive within a couple of hours ... wrong estimate shows up ... finally received my estimate a week later and the price for my product was three times higher than I finally bought it for ... buyer beware!!!! read more
