Let me first start by acknowledging that this review is of the estimate process and subsequent…read morefollow-up as I considered my options. In the end, I pursued another option thanks to a friend's connection that got me a very good deal. I contacted Watergate about some roofing issues at my home that I was aware were quite serious. I had two friends who both gave me a good reference for Watergate. One friend indicated they were they only company he'd dealt with that did not default to recommending a new roof. The other friend shared that they support Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit I also believe in. So, I contacted the company and requested an estimate. They set a date, and their employee arrived on the day and at the time that was scheduled. As I recall, his name was Max. We discussed my concerns. He did a thorough search of my concerns, and indicated he'd be contacting me soon with an estimate. He provided the estimate within the expected time-frame, which ended up being pretty rare among the estimates I did receive. He communicated well. He followed up multiple times. I will note the estimate was the second highest I received, though considerably lower than the highest. However, in their defense I felt like Watergate was really targeting solving all my concerns. They do offer a financing option. One slight customer service quirk of mine - if I e-mail you, I expect an e-mail response. Both times I e-mailed, within five minutes I got a phone call. If I wanted a phone call, I'd call. This is relatively minor, but it did bug me. It didn't bug me enough to drop a star. Overall, I was pleased here. As I noted, I ultimately opted for another choice but I was impressed by the service here. It didn't feel high pressure at all, though there was intentionality. There's a difference. I love that they work in the community. Since I have two friends who also praised them, I have to still give them a thumbs up. While I didn't choose Watergate this time, I was impressed enough that I would still call them again should future work be needed.

You can stop searching - this is the right company to choose to build your fence! And trust me, I…read moredid my research. These Draper guys are probably the best crew in all of Indiana. They are professional, have great communication, reviewed progress with me at every major milestone during installation, and built me a darned great cedar board-on-board dog-ear picket fence. The process was not without some minor bumps - I asked them to move and re-set some posts that wasn't perfectly parallel on one side of the yard (they fixed it, right then and there), and there were also some pickets where the wood started to split a couple weeks later (the foreman came out quickly and replaced all of the bad boards himself, personally). And the end-result is just amazing - all of my neighbors, and even people I don't even know, have complimented the build quality. Unquestioningly, I am absolutely impressed by the fence - it is sturdy and high quality, and is everything that I was hoping for. But what impressed me the most was the people. That 4.9 score with over 300 reviews? It almost seems unbelievable, but I can promise you that it is absolutely 100% earned and accurate. They deserve your business. They'll do it right, and they'll treat you well. Hire them. (and, thank you Britt!)

I do not like having to give negative reviews and this I believe is my first. I pondered over this…read morefor quite a while not wanting to do so before feeling that not giving our experience would be a disservice to others. We had the unfortunate experience of retaining NorthIndy for a railing project. Initially, I stopped by their store early afternoon to look at some of the product. No one was in, and I waited around the open store for probably 10-15 minutes when someone drove up. He said he was the owner. Very nice initial meeting then the wheels fell off. A lack of communication, many missed installment appts for a 2-man crew who showed up knowing this was second floor and didn't have a ladder. Fortunately, I the homeowner did have one that worked. The installers said they couldn't install part of the railing, so the GC had to install them. We were told there was a mix-up on the order and the wrong railing was ordered. I imagine communication with the GC and NorthIndy was part of the problem. The GC stepped up and installed part of the railing as the NorthIndy crew said they couldn't. Finally, I gave up and just wanted them done and gone. Both the GC and I had to call many, many times to get a call back and answer. I took off work waiting for them on at least 3 occasions only to have to call them and ask where are you? There are plenty of other sources for Westbury products and I'd look for anyone but NorthIndy. I expect a less than responsive reply, without taking any responsibility for their seriously lacking customer service.

They did get the deck done on time. Barely. It was not cheap. Some of the wood they chose could have been better, but since I only had one screw pop on this huge deck in the five years I've had it, I must say that it is probably the most well made deck I've ever owned.

Later that day I received an email stating he did not have internet and could not send the official drawing and quote but it would cost about $9000.00 When I realized that was all he was going to send, I sent another email asking for the dimensions of my deck and a detailed estimate.
