Rogers Tree Service is AWESOME! Had a 40 foot Silver Maple in our front yard, Crew showed up at 10am-- by 3pm this huge tree was gone . Rodger was a Total Professional- made short work of this job. Produced the insurance information- hauled everything off . Cleaned up the work site , excellent job! I recommend this Arborists and will to all my friends and family. Thanks for a job well done.

a patch of grass in the middle of the yard

Terrible service. We hired this company to remove gravel from a portion of our driveway that went in back of our house and then replace it with grass. They removed about half of the gravel and then covered it with straw. We could see the gravel through the straw and had them come back out to correct the issue. They came out three times and we still have a gravel driveway in our backyard with patches of grass. I strongly recommend staying far away from this company!

i rarely need tree service until this big windstorm that shot down my front yard tree and landed on my roof and yard. Roger was super quick in responding and was working close by so came over within 15 mins and gave me a reasonable estimate for emergency service and hauled away the tree and stump grinding and i may hire him for some more landscaping. he has a nice crew of guys and are quick and they cleaned up my driveway and the yard. pleasant personality and honest!

The small tree in the front is the new one. It wasn't planted straight.

We hired Rogers to replace two 3-story 25-year-old pine trees that were close to the end of their lives and were struggling, to remove an overgrown (mulberry?) bush that had grown into a small tree and was slowly but surely pushing over a fence in the back yard, and to trim our trees in the front and back of the house. The price was fair, maybe even a bit lower than I'd expected, and we set a date for the work to be done. He and his crew showed up and did the work, and what they did was excellent with one exception that I'll get to below. The quality of the tree trimming was very good and was done according to my instructions, which was basically "trim them back but don't overdo it." The quality of their work on this was 5 stars. The price of the job included grinding the stump left by the mulberry bush in back. He said he didn't have the tool he needed for that job but he'd come back next week and do it. With that promise, we paid him in full. After he left, I noticed that we'd all overlooked a Japanese maple in front--it'd been part of the plan but they hadn't trimmed it and I hadn't noticed--and I saw that one of the 6- or 8-foot spruces they'd planted where the 25-year-old pines had been was crooked (see pic below). Not, like, 45-degree-crooked, but crooked enough that it's gonna look weirder and weirder as the tree gets taller if it doesn't straighten out. The other spruce was fine. I called Roger and left a voicemail message asking if the crooked spruce would straighten naturally or if needed to be straightened now. I asked him to look at it when he came back to grind the stump and let me know. I also said they'd overlooked the Japanese maple, but so had I, and if it wasn't too much trouble then I'd like them to trim it during the stump-grinding visit, but if it was, then it wasn't a big deal and could wait till the next trimming in a few years. I've not heard from Roger since he left with our check. My wife and I each left 5-6 voicemail messages briefly describing the crooked-tree problem and asking him to call us, and about the same number of texts simply asking him to call us. Roger's not responded to any of them. My rating on his follow-up and integrity to finish the job after he's been paid is 0 stars. If you're willing to hire someone who has a history of ghosting customers after they've been paid, then I'd advise you to inspect the job carefully before paying him to be sure everything is done to your satisfaction, and not paying in full until it is. A promise from Roger to return to fix something is not necessarily credible. It's been 3 months since the work was done, so it's unlikely that he'll ever correct the situation but if he does, then I'll update this review with that new information. If I don't update the review, then you can assume it was never fixed.

Roger put up these three poles on the border of the fire pit patio and hung the lights, installed the fire pit and everything.

I contacted Roger on Saturday afternoon and my tree was gone on Monday. If I have the chance to use him again, I definitely will be.

Wow! After these guys did mulch and tree trimming my home looked 15 years younger. And they work quickly.

Both my dad and granddad owned commercial concrete businesses and were probably turning over in their graves, with the shoddy cheap work I had first contracted out. I knew I needed a more reputable concrete business and needed to pay more for quality work; after research, I decided on Mattingly. Knowing that concrete work picks up dramatically with warmer weather, I reached out to Mattingly in February in order to get on their spring project queue. A project coordinator was able to come out within the week. We talked about what I was looking for and he put together a quote within the next day or so. Customers are required to put down 10% of the quote, which I immediately did. You receive a pretty extensive contract with a lot of legalese and expectations (i.e. don't salt your concrete after, cracks may occur, liability concerns, etc.). Mattingly utilizes texting/email to keep customers up-to-date, which I appreciate. Because of the COVID situation, my project date was rescheduled a few times, but Mattingly was very prompt and kept me up-to-date via text, phone calls, etc. On the project date, Mattingly was able to remove the old concrete via drilling and re-pour within one (1) day, which was amazing. My neighbor commented on how quick the project went and how good the concrete looked. Even though my front porch was probably a lot smaller in scale than Mattingly's typical projects, I felt they still treated it as just as important as a huge driveway or landscaping project. The resulting concrete looks great and will last much longer than the previous attempt. I'm sure my dad & granddad would give their approval.

Our chimney foundation settled and the entire brickwork was shifting away from the house. Clean…read moreSweep came out and Sam talked to us about options at different levels. The quoting process was great and easy to compare options. We bit the bullet and decided rather than applying some bandaids, we should get the entire thing rebuilt. This way, WE could enjoy a beautiful fireplace rather than paying for someone else to when the house is eventually sold. The guys at Clean Sweep did a beautiful job! They demoed the old chimney, jackhammered the foundation, poured a new one, and built us a working chimney from (below) the ground up! We opted for a gas log and a nice set of doors to keep the dogs and kiddos out when it's turned off. We were extremely happy with the team, especially our project manager Daniel who answered our endless questions and gave us a lot of confidence. Their price was fair but more importantly, we knew we could trust Sam, Daniel and the team to do good work.

Bad experience from start to finish with Clean Sweep 317. As soon as the tech walked in my door he…read morebegan fear mongering. He had no even opened the doors to my fireplace yet. For all he knew it could have been completely remodeled last year because he hadn't even seen it yet. Then as soon as he did open it he told me I wanted a gas insert which I definitely do not and told him as much. He continued to try to instill fear the entire time he was there which was over 2 hours. He talked about several options and things that need fixed. And a special kind of sweep that was needed due to a level 3 creosote in the chimney. During his sweep and inspection he had a lot of problems with his equipment and kept banging them loudly up and down in the chimney likely causing more damage. Then he got to the top and told us our damper handle wasn't even connected. which it was before he started banging around in there. I know so because it is only 2 years old and only been used a handful of times since it has been installed. He was rude and disruptive, interjecting into the conversations my 94 year old Grandmother was having with her nurse and her caregiver. Once he finally finished with a lot more fear mongering and telling me, "you can roll the dice if you want to, but what you really want is a gas insert." Again, I had to tell him I don't want a gas insert. He was insistent on me how it would actually heat the room and and again I told him I don't want to heat the room, I have a furnace for that. As he finally left he assured me he was sending a quote which I assumed would have all of the options he talked about on it. Well, 2 weeks later a thank you card came from the owner. Cute, but I'd rather have the quote. A month later my husband finally reached out to ask for the quote since it was never sent. A quote was sent, finally, for a product called Priorfire Retrofit Fireplace for $15,000. Not only was this option never mentioned while the tech was in my home. The options he did mention were not in the quote. This option is horrible, it is stupid expensive and makes the fire place look like a child's toy. It is like bathfitter for fireplaces. It would reduce the size of our gorgeous fireplace by at least 2/3 and it just looks like a terrible cheap bandaid fix. No one that respects the quality and craftsmanship of their home would install this and be happy with it. I don't have a problem with spending money on this project but if I am going to put 15k into my fireplace I want it fixed not dramatically downgraded.
