It really is deep out there in the cuts. We beat the heat and weekend crowd by arriving on the earlier side of lunch. Fun for the kids to see farm animals and eat outside. Goat treats are $3 per bag and if you hand it to a young child, chances are their hands will be too close to the gate and the goat will take the whole thing lol. Hand washing is convenient with two bathrooms fully stocked. Not a huge fan of the food truck that we happened upon, so maybe consider packing lunch to bring. Though they do have some snacks for sale like lunchables and chips. Lots of shady seating and several parties were happening. There were multiple dogs there with a designated no-dog turf area for more shaded dining and corn hole. It was just a decent one time experience for us. read more

Came here with my husband and toddler and had a wonderful time. This place is truly a hidden gem in Lincoln. Despite the potential for heat, there was plenty of shade and comfortable seating. My son was completely entertained visiting and feeding the goats, while my husband and I actually got to relax and enjoy a couple of great pints. Also, parking was incredibly straightforward, with someone guiding us, which made arriving easy. It's a very casual, welcoming atmosphere with a wonderful, rural vibe. My brother and I wanted to celebrate our 30th & 31st birthdays together at a location that would allow for friends with kids and family to pop in, have cake, and hang out! This was the perfect location for all of that. The staff was all extremely welcoming & allowed for us to reserve some tables under the shade for our friends to be able to all gather. They allowed for us to bring outside charcuterie & cake as well without any additional fee. There was an Argentinian food truck on site that day too so we were able to order some bites from there and enjoy them under the shade along with our drinks! We ordered a few beers and took advantage of the unique experience of creating our own seltzer flight! I had never heard of such a concern before. They allowed for me to choose torani syrup flavors and let me create some unique combination flavored seltzers. The kids all had so much fun getting to feed the goats & donkey on the premises. Additionally, the property is so spacious and allowed for the kiddos to explore and enjoy themselves while we enjoyed our drinks all while being able to easily Keep an eye on them! Also dog friendly - we loved being able to also bring our furry friends along. We used to adore GoatHouse, but it's turned in to a circus with children running wild in every direction without much supervision. I have no problem with kids at breweries / wineries, but it gets to a point where the space feels like a noisy, chaotic playground rather than an adult environment that welcomes families. I think there's a balance that can be struck, but it's not found here. Kids running and screaming all over the property starts to feel like having a beer at a daycare full of parents who can't be bothered. Good beer and good service just doesn't outshine this overwhelming factor. read more

I was in Lincoln today and came here after trying Slice brewing. I thought the beer and service were good. I asked the server what they liked best which was one of their hazy IPAs so I ordered that. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. I noticed this looked like a family dominated business which isn't hard to imagine since they have goats you can see and feed so it's probably an easy place for partners to bring their kids to while they enjoy some drinks. My only gripes were the unpaved parking lot that dipped at certain parts unexpectedly and the long restroom lines since there's only 2 restrooms. I'd still come back if I'm in the area though since I enjoyed the overall venue and beer. read more

I was debating to give this place a three or four star. The reason why I'm giving it a three star is because I just really did not like their beers. Since it's a Brewery that should be my main reason to come. The goats should be a bonus . I'm a hazy kinda of girl I love craft IPAs ! I did not see any hazy on the menu . My dad, my husband and I ended up ordering some beers that we thought we might like but we ended up not drinking them because we just didn't like it at all.. The taste is pretty harsh !! Whenever my in-laws come down from Santa Rosa, it's a given that we'll end up at Goathouse Brewing Co. My pseudo father-in-law has a borderline fanatical love for the place. It's become such a ritual that I'm starting to think he visits us just for the beer and the goats! Last Sunday, we chose to visit the Placer Wine Trail, home to Goathouse Brewing Company, situated just off Wise Road. They've made some alterations to the layout since our last visit. The outdoor seating area has been expanded, and the food truck is now positioned right next to the outer fence, which simplifies the ordering process. In addition to the reconfigured seating area, they also have a place to play cornhole. The goats remain in the same area, and true to their nature, they wander along the enclosure's fence line, seeking out people to feed them. Aside from the beer, this is one of the aspects of this place that my father-in-law appreciates the most. Regarding the main tasting room, they offer a wide selection of beers on tap. Generally, I gravitate towards either the lighter, non-hoppy varieties or the richer, darker beers. My father-in-law tends to follow my lead when ordering. I'm somewhat limited in what I can share about their beer menu, but I can say that the ones I've sampled have been excellent. The parking area consists of a dirt lot, and there seems to be ample space since I've rarely had trouble finding a spot. However, I can imagine it might become difficult to park on particularly busy days. Overall, it's a nice place to go for an outing, see some goats, enjoy the weather and to enjoy a nice cold one. read more

We all had such a great time at this unique brewery! We love that they grow their own hops, citrus etc. for their brews that are made in-house. Mighty good selection too! Everything we tried was great! My favorite was the "kilt dropper"! They have goats, you can buy a bag of feed for the kids to feed them. Very friendly goats and even a mini donkey! The kids had a great time with them. They have some seating inside and more seating outside in the back. It was a great, relaxed and family friendly atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable with beer selections. We will definitely be visiting again and brining the kiddos! Almost forgot to mention that they have food trucks on the weekends! It's always a treat to have a beer at Goat House Brewing, especially when it's a sunny day but not too hot. Great selection of beer, very chill environment, -- and the best part are the friendly goats. It's one of my favorite breweries in the Sacramento region to spend time at. It's very family-friendly, with the kids (and many adults) focusing on the numerous goats they can feed and pet. There's also a man-made lake that adds to the fun day.
