What a fun and enjoyable afternoon of sipping wine with complimenting pies! Now that's a unique experience. This was a special event. The winery had a very nice set up in the 'barn'. I hadn't ever considered wine with fruit pies, but it actually was quite good, and very tasty. The property is absolutely beautiful, tranquil and very relaxing. There are several areas to just sit, sip and take it all in. Why go all the way to Napa or Sonoma as this is just as good! Plus some of the varietals come from grapes in the Napa Carneros region; especially the delicious Chardonnay and the crisp, fruity and light Pinot Grigio. They are especially known for the rich, hearty Barbera which is a standout. The Owner gave an informative briefing on the establishment and everything was so well organized, friendly and most enjoyable. Many of us left with bottles, I had six, to have later at home. I really enjoy the patio at this winery - it's pretty and relaxing place to enjoy a glass of wine. This winery has plenty of spots for photo opportunities. I picked this place because not only is it dog friendly but it has one of my favorite red wines, The Reunion. I stopped by with my mom on a Friday afternoon, and the patio was fairly full with four or five other parties. There was only one person serving, so the tastings took a little longer to come out. I ended up enjoying a glass of rosé, which was perfect for such a hot afternoon. I'll definietly be back soon to pick up more bottles! read more

How did we miss this oasis in Lincoln!! I was looking for wineries in Lincoln and saw the website. I called to see if they allow dogs. Yes was the answer so headed out to check out the winery. The drive up was very nice and as we drove up the driveway we saw there were quite a few cars. After we parked, we were greeted right away by Shelly who asked some questions about if we had been there before and what we wanted to do. She gave us a menu and talked about the tasting ( $15 at the time). We were there to taste and enjoy a bottle in the great weather. We brought our own food to enjoy and our dog was so happy to meet other people and dogs. Lots of grass to enjoy for the dog. We enjoyed our tasting and chose a bottle of their Rose of Barbera. While taking some pictures we also had the chance to meet Kerry the owner. She was so nice and told about the winery and grapes they use. The grounds are beautiful and there are lots of tables around the area with some for wine club members. There is a beautiful pond and barn for events. Can't wait to go back and enjoy the wine and grounds. We really appreciate the hospitality of the staff. Everyone was so nice. It was a very relaxing day. Fantastic experience, ambiance and wine. We tried a few spots in the area and they all lacked something except this one. The wines were incredible - both flavorful and balanced. The wasteful feature on the property was the cherry on top but anywhere you choose to sit and enjoy your glass here is a great choice. Kari (Kerry??) the owner was so sweet and made us feel right at home. She grabbed us on our way out to share more about their wines and chat about our experience and how we were enjoying our time in the area. This is a spot we will be revisiting. read more

We had such a great time at Rancho Robles Vineyards for their Sip into Spring event. Everything about the day felt just right--the weather was absolutely beautiful, and the setting really showed off how special this place is. The wine was fantastic, and the overall ambiance made it easy to relax and just enjoy the experience. One of the highlights was watching Keira Ortiz from Holy Brush Strokes paint the vineyard live during the event. It was such a unique and enjoyable touch--seeing the landscape come to life on canvas while being right there in it made the whole experience even more memorable. We tried calling during the weekday for reservations but no one answer. So my friends and I came without reservations on a Sunday. Forgot the name but the lady indicated that without reservations, we would need to purchase wine that would total cost up to $20 per person. It was a bit unexpected but we decided to hangout anyway. They do not sell any snacks or food but there's a pizza food truck onsite. They allow you to bring your own food or snacks there. That is a plus for us! We really enjoy the scenery and the atmosphere here. This is a dog friendly location and the place has really cute decor with a water fountain and barn house on one side. Our host's name is Cameron! He was very attentive and helpful when it comes to wine selections even though it was very busy that day. We purchased 4 bottles. We decided to visit Rancho Roble Sunday . We had gone a previous time on a date night with out the kiddos .This time we had the kids and we knew that we were just going for a short period of time. They have a small play structure that the kids were playing at. They have a very nice pond in the middle of the property. They are kid and dog friendly but there is signs everywhere to keep your kids with you at all times and not to let them go near the pond so it does not feel that kid friendly lol . I think if you want more of a kid, friendly winery I suggest you go to Dono dal cielo . When we purchased our bottle of wine Bryanna was super helpful on explaining the wines to us, and she let us have a few samples of other ones before we purchased our bottle . She was very friendly and attentive! We really enjoyed the wine here ! The property is beautiful ! They have portal potty bathrooms on the property you can use . There is also a photo wall to take pictures . They have food truck and live music on certain days also . Overall we would come back again for the wine and the beautiful property. Disappointing. We arrived around 5pm on Saturday and it was not very busy . We ordered two wine flights and it took almost 30 minutes to get them. Having only one bartender and a 17 year-old bar-back who can't pour wine is of no use whatsoever. We almost canceled the order and left for another winery or restaurant, but we finally got the flight and the wines were nice, but getting more wine took another bit of time. The grounds are nice and attractive and very family-friendly. Near the end of our night a girl came by and asked how it was going. We explained what happened and she apologized and offered a voucher for a glass of wine, but it never came. As we were leaving it was very dark and there we no signs or lights to help finding our car or the road out. Being from the food industry this business has potential but needs better management. As it is, it's more of a hobbiest winery, not comparable to more professional establishments. Hopefully in the future things will improve ... read more

Our Wine Club put on an educational "blending" event for 60 of our members and guests at beautiful Rancho Roble Vineyards. We are a group of wine enthusiasts who created this event for the purpose of understanding the nuances of blending wine. From the start, Kari assured the planning team that this would be an outstanding event, and she and her crew worked very hard to make this so. Rancho Roble provided a super afternoon starting in the vineyard where we could taste Barbera grapes ready to harvest, grasp the significance of color, and of course test the brix! We then moved to the patio for our education on the art of blending wine. Kari outdid herself by providing our members and guests with a complete tutorial on the importance and intricacies of blending. We were provided with a beaker of "starter wine" after Kari explained the origination of this wine and its potential as a blend. Five blending wines were provided along with a description of what each blending wine could impart to change or improve the starter wine. This became a competition for 10 teams to create "the winning blend"! It was a super afternoon, gathering together for knowledge, fun, and camaraderie. This could not have been such a seamless success without the ideas and organizational skills provided by Nichole, the Rancho Roble Event Planner. She thought of everything from food, layout, timing, etc. Nichole is a joy to work with because she's just got it together! We really didn't have to worry about a thing - it was just handled! If you are looking to create an outstanding event for a large group or team, we absolutely recommend learning to blend wine at Rancho Roble Vineyard! Just not really happy as a member anymore. Beautiful setting for tasting but the pour is so small that you barely get a taste. Almost every time I'm there the owner says something to staff about the pour in front of me, the customer. It's crazy. It's not even a few drops more than an ounce and she checks it out. Almost NEVER is a bottle of bubbles available for tastes. Today they wouldn't even open the stainless Chardonnay. The reserve was open. I don't get that. Especially for someone who really only likes whites. I'm a member and it just feels so cheap. Ended up buying a bottle of bubbly instead. They price bubbles pretty high for what it is. We had a reservation at 3pm, and it's very very beautiful the wine was nice but we kinda got screwed out of the tasting experience a few times. Because it was the end of the day there were certain wines we were supposed to try but couldn't because it was the end of the day and they didn't want to open up any bottles which I get, by at 3 on there were also like 15-20 other people still at the winery. The wine was alright, I'd drink one that's a nice temp and then the next one was blazing hot. Never was given a menu, descriptions of the wine and had to keep getting up in order to be served out next taste, so a lot of the time we spent with empty wine glass, hence why the picture of our empty glasses. read more

This family vineyard is a MUST TRY. I went with a large group on a Thursday and Kari was AMAZING. She did a wonderful in-depth private tasting for us. Wanting to beat the heat, my friends and I made a reservation for three people on a Saturday to come sample some wine. We came right when they opened at 11 AM and each ordered a flight of 4 wines. We each tried two of their Barberas and their Zinfandel from the reds. I opted for the Sauvignon Blanc from the whites while my friends tried their Rosé. We took our flights and sat, socially distanced, out by the pond. They have umbrellas for shade, which was appreciated as it was 105 degrees that day. You can bring outside food to enjoy with your wine (we had cinnamon rolls - surprisingly good pairing for the wine!). All in all, we enjoyed their wines and each ended up buying a bottle to take home. Usually the tasting fee is waived with the purchase of a bottle, but with COVID, that isn't the case right now. Regardless, we were glad to support a small, local business during these trying times. read more

We recently visited Rancho Roble Winery with friends ..... and had a great time. The winery is located in the lower foothills on 20 acres, just four miles from Lincoln. It is a beautiful setting for wine tasting. The property includes an outdoor area that provides comfortable (and umbrella shaded) seating with tables around a small pond. This enables appropriate social distancing while enjoying a picnic lunch, wine and the view. You can bring your own food or purchase in advance a packaged meal. We opted for the packaged meal which was delicious (provided by Simple Pleasures in Lincoln) . It consisted of a tasty Tri Tip Sandwich on a Ciabatta Roll and a flavorful Quinoa Salad with olives and cherry tomatoes. It was, of course, complimented by wine. Our wine was Chardonnay and a Zinfandel, and it was good. Their Barbera, in my opinion, is marvelous. The staff was courteous, efficient, & knowledgeable. Super way to enjoy a weekend afternoon.
