Enjoyed this bottle of Mourvèdre for our anniversary.
Teresa M.

We really enjoyed this bottle of Mourvèdre for our anniversary. You could really taste the cherries, which I enjoyed the most. It was very smooth, making it an easy drink. Thank for letting us be one of the first to enjoy this bottle and getting the opportunity to meet you. We will definitely be by for another.

We walked in Friday around 2:30pm. It wasn't too busy. Sad to say, we weren't impressed by the wines here. But I think it's not our taste. The wines tasted light, some earthy, some tannic, and aged wine taste/smell. We had to pour out quite a few of the red wines. We prefer bold and smooth. But they have a big property here and looks nice to drink outside if you enjoy these type of wines.

Love love love. Service was lovely and attentive. We came for a tasting. 4 of the 5 were good. The ladies made it a point to go over each wine and see how we liked it. Love that it is affordable for a tasting. As are their bottles. They had live music Saturday and a phenomenal food truck! Their outdoor area is beautiful. They are also dog friendly. Couldn't recommend them more.

Tasting room not open but you could get a flight of pre picked reds, or mix 4 of I think 7 wines, $20 + . Open, covered patio, no food, music, not too impressed after the wineries we have been too in the immediate area. Wines, we had the flight of reds, and none of them encouraged a purchase, or a glass. All seemed new, no years were provided on the tasting menu. Disappointed

Ciotti Cellars was the 2nd stop on our Holiday in the Hills Placer wine tour Our bus of 17 was dropped off here where we were greeted by Santa. We were also greeted by the amazing sent of soup which went perfectly with the rainy day weather. Here we had tried 5 wines; of which my favorites included the Red Zin and the Stowaway. We tasted their offering which included Pino Gris, Red Zin, Sangiovese , Syrah, and a Stowaway. All were tasty and reasonably priced. This winery also offers mystery bottles for purchase. Here you can purchase the bottle of wine for $20- even the workers do not know which wine is in the bottle but it is a fun way to give it a try. Fantastic place and the owner Joe is amazing- he took a picture with our friend who's birthday we were celebrating with the big bottle of wine from behind the bar area.

We stumbled upon this little gem on a day when they had live music. Was super cool. Not sure I understand the tasting menu as they have many wines but no options to try something thats not on the menu. Case in point...Im a big mouvedre fan. I wanted to try it...they said it wasnt available unless I purchased a bottle. I ended up purchasing it because I really wanted to try it...great except had I tried it there, I likely would have purchased several. Its too far for us to go back anytime soon so that was a disappointment. Most wines were good but very fruit forward. I am a fan of the mouvedre so I recommend to anyone to check this place out. It nice and worth the trip at least once. Cheers

It is nice to find a good winery in Placer County. Ciotti Cellars has all the features of a great local winery, and can back up with a good selection of wine. Their winery is fairly close to Lincoln off Wise Road along the Placer Wine & Ale Trail. Parking is generous on a gravel lot. The tasting room has a modern Tuscan feel with gorgeous metal and glass entry doors. The spacious interior can get a bit loud with lots of hard surfaces, but the conversation is lively as people enjoy their wine. Ciotti has a decent selection of various varietals on their menu with tasting fees waived with purchase. I have not been a big fan of Placer County wine, but their Cabernet Franc was really good and stood out. Everyone has a unique palette, but I can tell these guys are making something special. The scenery is gorgeous, especially in the late afternoon. It can get a bit hot here in the summer, but the outdoor patio is still a great option in good weather. Ciotti Cellars is a great way to drink local wine. They are very close to the South Placer suburbs, but traveling here feels miles away from the city. Good wine in a great location is always a treat.

Yes, because Joe makes some great wine. Live music sometimes makes it very nice. I'm a wine club member and it's pretty great!

I hadn't ever considered wine with fruit pies, but it actually was quite good, and very tasty. The property is absolutely beautiful, tranquil and very relaxing. There are several areas to just sit, sip and take it all in. Why go all the way to Napa or Sonoma as this is just as good! Plus some of the varietals come from grapes in the Napa Carneros region; especially the delicious Chardonnay and the crisp, fruity and light Pinot Grigio. They are especially known for the rich, hearty Barbera which is a standout. The Owner gave an informative briefing on the establishment and everything was so well organized, friendly and most enjoyable. Many of us left with bottles, I had six, to have later at home. I highly recommend this winery and will return!

The wasteful feature on the property was the cherry on top but anywhere you choose to sit and enjoy your glass here is a great choice. Kari (Kerry??) the owner was so sweet and made us feel right at home. She grabbed us on our way out to share more about their wines and chat about our experience and how we were enjoying our time in the area. This is a spot we will be revisiting.

Service: Fantastic! Food: Delicious!…read more Cons: Parking is limited A gem of a place located in Newcastle. This tasting room is looking to provide high quality service that people would expect from more established wineries and they are doing it right. I've been here 4 times by the time of writing this review and the experiences have all been fantastic. All the staff really do invest in the guests. Very knowledgeable about the wine and dishes. They take the time to really break down the wine and food if you don't know your stuff like me. They check up on you frequently! I really enjoyed the Carmenere wine. It's not as dry and is easily palatable for people who don't usually prefer red wines. I'm not super knowledgable in wine, but the flavors were earthy and slightly dark fruity taste. Some nights they have live music or events to meet the owners. Can't wait to see how the vineyard turns out if this is just a sneak peak of what's to come!

They not only have a large selection of wines that we learned are made in Granite Bay, but they also have a long list of delicious foods including a list of specials that includes steak and a potato soup paired with focaccia! Based on my wine tasting experiences, I must say they have one of the best and largest food menus I've ever seen, so I was very impressed by their menu and knowing they have their own chef! We enjoyed our white and red wines, including Sierra Foothills Estate Barbera, Sierra Foothills Viognier, Petaluma Gap Chardonnay, and rosé. I must say I ate the most savory, flavor-filled, crab cakes sitting on a delicious river of remoulade, topped with artichoke, fennel, pickled peppers, with a side of romesco sauce. We couldn't resist adding baked brie to our food tasting selections. The service is excellent and we learned how their wines are made and they will be opening another Lecavalier Cellars with a wine cave near Loomis in Spring 2026! I enjoyed the beautiful ambiance and the excellent music that was icing on the cake! We are already talking about coming back! Cheers!

RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more I cant even begin to express the disappointment in this experience. To be a part of the placer wine trail but offer a horrible experience for the common taster was awful. We had reservations For outdoor seating but due to two small dogs with us they turned us away. Which is understandable due to policy but what isnt is the candor. Im absolutely upset to have been treated this way. The bald man behind the counter who took it upon himself to play "tough guy" really made it difficult to not say something more. Respect and courtesy - even if the customer isn't correct, is necessary. You sir are not being paid enough to act like that. Horrible customer service. Doesn't make me want to come back. The thing for me is - it's just dinner. Theres no need for the hostility that came from that man while trying to understand what their policy is from the receptionist/host. Almost every winery is dog friendly its not insane we would come in to ask. He assigned himself the need to come over the counter and hostilely address us while waiting for her to find the answer in an effort to kick us out. He alone is the reason I cant get over this interaction. So hostile and rude why would I ever go back to get another interaction with him. How would that treatment to paying customers be allowed?... It's fine to ask a question and be turned away. But his approach was unacceptable and unnecessary. How dare we attempt to dine there. We just were waiting to hear back if we could sit on a patio.
