The product selection is solid, but what really stood out is the level of customer service. It's rare these days to find retail staff who go above and beyond, and these two certainly did (even humoring me as I reminisced about my own time working in retail). When I tried to have them replaced, they said no - even though we didn't get to select the boards. They didn't return the boards, but kept them and then I had to buy a new board and they at least gave me new one board free that I got to pick out. It was a horrible experience and I wasn't trying to return bad boards I picked, they did the picking. Management didn't provide quality customer service and I know I will never go there again. The person who was at the register and the one who cut my new boards had supreme customer service - management can learn a thing or two from them.

When I asked Ashely, the customer service rep at Home Depot Corp, if it was acceptable for Home Depot to deliver damaged products, she replied that we should have purchased the 3 year extended warranty with our purchase. We are stuck with a brand new microwave that has been classified as "unrepairable" by the GE technicians who have tried to repair it. I will never shop at Home Depot again.

All of this unnecessary passive aggressive behavior over a small disagreement started OVER A FORKLIFT. They claim thier customer service makes up for thier higher prices. But that is not so. My experience with Builders first source BMC UFP They have far superior customer service and material take offs that are always within 10%.. I just walked out of builders first source with everything I need and was treated fairly and with respect, as the way I am accustomed. Side note the owner of County line seemed reasonable and fair. Chris took a significant amount of time to help me acquire an item (gift) from the top shelf of an isle and then some materials needed for a repair. The items took us all over the store and about 30 min total but he was patient and helpful the entire time. I also had a really good customer service experience where I left something at the self checkout, called, and it was waiting for me the next time I came in. If this trend keeps up I will be updating this to a 4 or 5 in no time!

We were inundated with trying to level, connect, set temperatures and attach parts that we know nothing about with technical instructions that are confusing and difficult to understand. This entire experience is horrific and I cannot even begin to express my dissatisfaction with the purchase and subsequent "service."
