Location/service This place is located right in the heart of…read moredowntown Markham, right across from the Canada Carousel. Really big sign that you can't miss. Parking is available right by the carousel or you can go underground by the condo complex. Interior is pretty standard. Nice to see that they have tables available for you to dine-in, but I see most are doing to-go, so nice convenience. Staff were friendly and nice to see they are following health and safety quite seriously when assembling the bowls. Food Their food had always been pretty staple, where you can either select a fixed menu setup or build your own poke with a choice of base/protein/toppings. I also like that they have an option to do salad or soba noodles besides rice as the base. I went for the Aloha Honey Ginger Salmon (crab meat slaw * pineapple * seaweed salad * masago) and Mauna Loa Spicy Shoyu Salmon (edamame * spicy cucumbers * spicy seaweed salad * masago) They've got daily specials too, so it's nice you don't have to break the bank. If you need a go-to spot for healthy, filling meals, this is the one!

Ingredients tasted fresh and i honestly enjoyed everything in the bowl and how all the flavours meshed together. It included most of my favourite ingredients for poke bowls! I didn't really like the spicy or pickled? cucumbers however. I'd much rather have it separate as i found it threw off the taste a bit. Still delicious! The portion i found was a bit small. But I'd totally come back!

I always add in extra toppings crab salad and cucumber kimchi for that extra spice. I do ask to sub wasabi mayo for a regular one. The staff has called me should they not have a certain topping or sauce available. Other places would just not put anything and serve it that way. The place is on Hwy 7 and Woodbine beside the Hilton. It's under the condos by the S Town Centre entrance. Place is small but has a couple of seats if you want to eat in. I always get take out. The only one star off is I feel like they can add in a little bit more sauce, then it would be perfect. I will surely go here again!

I ordered Kabayaki Unagi which came in 1 size - large. As mentioned by other yelpers, it's not a lot of food and it's not filled to or close to the top. I was not full off of it, but I felt ok. The unagi had unagi sauce on it but the rest of the bowl had no sauce on it (cabbage, carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes). I wish there was an option to add more sauce. Overall rating - 3/5. Might need to try a different choice. Not in a rush to try again.

I first tried it about 8 years ago when they only sold poke bowls. Now they have appetizers (gyoza, karage chicken), specialty drinks and hot dishes such as ramen and beef rice bowls. My favorite has always been the kale noodle salmon poke bowl! I love it so much I asked if I can buy their kale noodle uncooked in bulk. Unfortunately he wouldnt share their supplier name and said they could not sell it to me that way lol. But i did find something similar in the J-town grocery store, just not the same :(. The light sesame dressing , little rice crispies makes the dish. It is served with cherry tomatoes, some sliced cucumbers, pink ginger, edamame beans and corn and of course topped with your favorite sauce. Ive also tried this dish as a rice bowl but prefer the kale noodle as that chew really makes it unique to the Komeya experience. The staff are always so friendly. Highly recommend. Prices have significantly increased over the years.

My daughter has been sharing her fav spots and we are always looking for new spots to try. Komeya came to mind for me to share with her to try out their ramen, which I have never tried before despite getting take out poke bowls for years. We decided to dine in. Warmly greeted by all of the familiar staff that have put our take out orders together and chatted with over the years. I love the cozy set up inside. They have tables and chairs or the window seating with the bar height stools. We ordered both the Miso Ramen and the Shoyu Ramen, Gyoza dumplings and chicken Karaage. The broth was amazing and full of so much flavor. The pork was so tender and all of the ingredients meshed so well with a great balance of vegetables, meat, broth and the noodles. We have already been back 2x. Komeya also has bento boxes, shrimp tempura and a great variety of hot foods, milk teas and cafe items.

Ordered the iced blueberry matcha latte and smoked salmon eggs Benny. The matcha interestingly came in a Sapporo cup lol! Unfortunately the matcha was not that great, didn't really taste the blueberry flavour either. Would skip this. The smoked salmon eggs Benny was decent but the tater tots that came along on the side were too salty in my opinion. Maybe the regular or non brunch menu items are better, but being so far away from this spot not sure if I would go out of way again to visit.

Everything on the menu looked great so we each picked a dish to share, starting with Calamari Poutine, before moving on to Loco Moco, Curry Katsu Chicken Rice, Chicken & Waffles, Spicy Vodka Udon, Duck Confit Tacos, and Crab Mac & Cheese. Plating of the dishes was beautiful, matched only by the delicious flavours. We enjoyed every dish, with no clear favourite. It was all good! This is a great spot, offering delicious food with very attractive presentation. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, and our server was outstanding!
