Pretty good lamb kebabs on a stick. Located on the upper 2nd floor of a mall, this tiny little hut in the food court is a gem! The lamb kebab skewers are served hot. When you order, it takes them a while to cook the skewers, so you will have to wait, but it's definitely served fresh and hot! The price is low, and the portions are not bad. The spiciness is mild. The lamb is really flavorful. The service is not bad. Pretty normal. Overall, great value for money

They specialise in Chinese lamb skewers and related dishes. Prices are quite steep, especially considering that this is not a restaurant but a food court stall. They include tax as a small consolation. The meat quality is pretty good. The skewers here are not seasoned as heavily as they are elsewhere (with respect to both salt and cumin).YMMV - one advantage is you can taste the freshness of the meat better.

These are for sure in my opinion, the best lamb kabobs in Toronto. What sets it apart from many other restaurants that serve it is they use charcoal to grill their lamb. The lamb is also very juicy because the meat they use has a good fat-to-meat ratio. The skewers were also seasoned with cumin, chili, and salt, giving it an amazing flavour. I believe prices have gone up compared to before. Now you get 7 kabobs for $15.

Delicious lamb on skewers, well grilled, juicy, 3 skewers (about 6 small pieces each) for $10, is a good meal. The lady is friendly and serves in about 15 minutes (there was no line when we ordered). I'll surely eat here again when I visit pacific mall.

If I'm ever at Pacific Mall I always make room to eat these kabobs! I always do the special (7 for $12.99 last I remember). By far better than restaurant skewers, don't overlook it cause it's in a food court! Skewers I always order lamb skewers and sometimes chicken and get them spicy. These are the juiciest northern Chinese skewers I've ever had. Mind you, these are also the smallest portions I've had per skewer as the chunks of meat are cubed quite small to fit on the small fish ball skewers, not the typical long skewers in restaurants. But the taste totally makes up for that. They are soooooo well marinaded and seasoned in cumin, salt and chilli powder (if you get spicy). I love spicy food but if you aren't used to it, their spicy skewers are actually quite spicy. I would also recommend the chicken for any chicken lovers. They use chicken breast for the meat and surprisingly the meat is never dry and very juicy (look at the pics!)

I use to be a regular at this place before covid 19 But the quality has gone downhill. She use to add cumin every few minutes to enhance the taste which put layers of flavor. The same lady did nothing like that Today. My freind could not eat half of her portion because it was too chewy. It was busy and had a long line up. Hope it was just an off day. There are so many BBQ restaurants in the area that are at the same price point as this food court.

Pacific mall has a lot of these hole in wall dining gems. The food court is on the 1st floor and is open till 9 most nights. We wanted to grab a quick bite and the skewers looked very tempting. We got three between us for 9.99, they were pre marinated and grilled in front of us. I had her make it a little spicy and boy she didn't disappoint. Highly recommended for a filling, quick budget friendly meal

Great lamb skewers to satisfy cravings when there are no night markets to serve these! A little more expensive than the night markets, but I noticed this had more meat than fat. The seasoning was delicious and they also serve other meats.

Drop by for a quick eat. They have lamb skewers for a fairly good price 3 skewers for $7 flat. Skewers are cooked fairly quickly and great if you are looking for a quick bite.

    Heh, I love these.

BOOM. This is the place to get lamb skewers! Better than Xin Jiang, Magic Noodle, or even Kung Fu Noodle! Some places give you more meat, some put it on a metal skewer, but really, none are better than the ones here. The meat to fat ratio, the awesome seasoning, and the fact that it's made fresh right in front of you, it's all perfect! I always go for the 7 for $13 dealy. Goes really well with other stuff in the food court too, like the Potato Noodle Soup of Bai across from them, or the curry balls at the curry balls stall. Really, they're so good, they go with anything!

The quality of their meat is truly amazing. It's also seasoned heavily (on the salty side but I'm biased and absolutely love that) and so it's super tasty. The price is decent but I'd say it's worth it. The little stand on the top floor of Pacific Mall food court is always busy but for good reason. The workers are always nice and they cook the meat quite quickly. There's a clear barrier so you can actually see them make your skewers right in front of you! Like others have said, you are reeled in quite easily just from the smell. I love this stand and definitely purchase lamb kebabs most of the time I'm here.

Small simple stall doing it simple and successful. Lamb heart and chicken knuckle was very tasty. Very good for a quick bite.

Got the 7 for $12.99 special. I like that u can mix and match which ones you want to get to make up the 7 kabobs. Both the lamb and beef were good. They will ask you what spice level you want but be warned this may add to the saltiness of the meat.

Legendary lamb skewers, best in the city. Also get the lamb ribs, they're chopped up small and still have some fat on them. Incredible.

And if you can deal with the dirty tables and the occasional stench (I guess I've been desensitized having spent enough time in HK and China) there are a few decent budget food options here. De Ke Yi being one of them. De Ke Yi actually opened after I ended my volunteering involvement at this plaza, so I can't say I've frequented their business many times. Of the few times I've been there, I got the pig's liver rice roll. And they never disappoint. For $5, you get an honest portion and quality food. The rice batter has a good chew to it and a nice rice taste. The pork liver was marinated properly where you will get a slight chewy crunch and no funny porky taste. I don't recall getting anything else from them, but I can't see how you could go wrong with any of their rice rolls. If you can turn a blind eye to the dining hygiene and environment or is totally content with taking out, De Ke Yi is a great option for Canto food lovers!

The broth had a gingery dishwasher soap quality to them I couldn't even finish half of it. We got the century egg/pork congee and the only flavour that came through was cilantro. 1/5 Edit: I'm learning this is a specific regions style of congee. My bad but my taste review still stands. On to the decent stuff. I should probably give them more credit for rice rolls, they're above average and have lots of different options. The rice rolls themselves weren't silky like some other places (sam's congee) but still good. Fillings were ok, nothing notable about the char siu one were good. If you must come here, I'd recommend rice rolls. 4/5 I thought the ox tongue pastry was good (light, pillowy, crispy outside) but my wife is the expert in this and she said she would have liked it to be chewier but still good overall. 4/5 The other nice thing about this place is complementary soy milk. Tastes better than supermarket stuff. I'm giving it 3/5 total because for everything we got it was still only $20ish and the rice rolls saved it, kind of. Was hoping the hole in the wall would be a hidden gem but it can stay hidden imo. Great if you're on a budget or only want rice rolls, otherwise just go to another place with a higher floor for flavour.
