Much of the produce is locally grown, or locally adjacent (AKA California) OK, Bananas do not grow in the Great Basin. The origin of the produce is identified. They work with local farmers, bakeries, and other local businesses for the food and non-food items. They no longer have the upstairs restaurant but they do have a kitchen and make ready to go items. I love picking up a fresh salad (some with meat some purely vegan/vegetarian) , a yummy very generously filled wrap, house made cookies and other delectable treats. They have a large selection of locally produced meats. Lots of organic canned goods, dairy and non-dairy items . . . the list goes on. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Memberships are available (20$/year) with a once a month 10% off of your total purchase. You do NOT need a membership to shop here. It's small and a bit cramped but there is a lot of good stuff there. It's clean and friendly and completely locally owned.

We also tried their cactus salad that came with chips and we took advantage of their Thirsty Thursday special and got some cold press juices. They offer a wide selection of juices and you can also purchase the juices as a weekly and/or monthly subscription. This is a nice healthy option available inside the basement that also sells their cute little bags with their logo. The fruits and vegetables are fresh, their customer service is excellent and Thania and her staff are very nice and can offer delicious recommendations. Make sure to stop by next time you're downtown and see heading to the basement in Reno.

Good for them, just not a place I will plan to come back to try again.
