It's difficult finding good, Asian vegetarian products if you're in the city (unless you have a car and can go to 99 ranch or elsewhere in the Bay) so this place is a huge blessing. They have all kinds of Taiwanese-vegetarian goods and soy products, as well as dumplings and zhong zhi depending on the season! The inventory varies a lot, I think depending on what they can import, so if I see something I like I just grab it first in case it's not there the next time. The owner is super lovely -- not vegetarian herself but is trying to adopt a more vegetarian diet, so I really respect that she runs a store catered to just vegetarians! Really putting her money where her mouth is. Really happy and grateful for this business so I hope it continues to stay for the long term .

From herbs & spices, dried foods, olive oil, soaps, shampoos and more, they have everything. The prices are reasonable and there's less plastic waste. They also source locally which is nice. But beyond that, I was skeptical that the prices would be outrageous and was fairly surprised that they really weren't! Ok sure, some items were pricey, and that's true for any small store in this city, but for the bulk items and dry goods, the pricing was incredibly reasonable! I even found the same scones I buy at my local box box grocery store for cheaper here!! What?! I was also just blown away by the variety of choices.. they've got everything here.. produce, condiments, dry goods, chips, snacks, bulk items, tea, medicines and supplements, and a section of boutique handmade goods that was so awesome to look through!! I don't live close by but I will be back anytime I go to see my friend (which is often).

It costs more than the farmer's market but they truly have as many local producers and growers as possible. They have weird stuff too. Need a limequat? An aged persimmon? A yellow raspberry? They might have it, if it's in season. They have really good sandwiches and don't charge you more for gluten free bread. They toast the sandwiches! The people who work here are very diverse and really nice, many of them have worked here for years and really know their stuff. The store is cozy and well laid out. Parking can be a b!$:h, so plan accordingly.
