There was absolutely no Wi-Fi available, which meant I couldn't access any of my online info. I was limited only to what was already downloaded on my hard drive. Limited Space: The seating is very tight. There isn't enough room to comfortably use a laptop in a standard position. I was only able to get work done because I was lucky enough to have an empty row, allowing me to sit sideways. Part two: Summary: If you just need a clean, on-time ride from A to B, this is a great option. However, if you are choosing the bus specifically to get work or studying done, be aware of the lack of connectivity and cramped space. In the future, I'll likely opt for the train to ensure I have the amenities needed for a productive trip.

The ceilings were extremely high, there was art all around us and because it was empty, it seemed even bigger. As soon as we entered we were greeted by a man in the front shop and he let us know that he was there for any questions we had. Since we were just killing time, we decided to just stroll around the building. There was a booth selling drinks and snacks, a nice touch for visitors popping in on their way to tour the city. We decided to head further up the stairs and stumbled into a spot that had tour brochures for so many local Southern cities and some sweet ladies behind the counter to help guide visitors. I ended up walking to the gift shop and began chatting with another sweet woman behind the counter. I was in awe of the most beautiful handcrafted miniature version of the Forsyth fountain and we talked about it for 10 or 15 minutes. It was truly one of the most beautiful pieces I've seen in a minute, obviously delicately crafted with so much love and intention. The woman at the counter told me stories of customers who have purchased the piece for special reasons, such as a mother who flew in to buy it as a surprise cake topper for her son's wedding as he proposed to his fiance at the fountain. How beautiful! Although we weren't there very long, I really enjoyed our visit!

When we walked up to the stop near City Hall on Bryan St & Bull St, a few others were waiting but I couldn't find a schedule posted. However we only waited about 5 minutes before the bus arrived! Once on the bus, we enjoyed resting in the A/C, and viewing more historic buildings we hadn't yet seen as we traveled. Note, this isn't a narrated tour, but rather free & easy transpo around the historic district. As it turned out, Drayton St was closed due to the Jazz Festival in Forsyth Park, so we had to exit the bus a few blocks early. Which worked out well for us as we were a bit closer to our vaca rental. I appreciate the city's investment in this free transportation for tourists & residents. Seating seemed to be sufficient, as I saw no one needed to stand. The Dot bus was a great option to get around in Savannah!
