Called Tybee Turtle Transit because we were stranded thinking they'd be a good alternative, but they didn't answer the phone after three calls. After sitting on the bench in front of a gas station for awhile they eventually called me back, and the bloke who answered couldn't even say, "Tybee Turtle Transit" without getting tongue tied. I asked him the fair for two people from Tybee to Savannah and he said, "$55." I replied "Oh..." a little dejected because it was nearly double what I would have to pay on Uber or Lyft if I could get ride coverage. I went to discuss it with my partner to see if she still wanted to do it. And before she could answer TYBEE TURTLE TRANSIT HUNG UP ON ME. Not Cheap. Not Friendly. Not worth your Time nor Money.

I got into the backseat and the seats were stained and dirty, and the AC was not working and it was 100° weather. The driver was also as dirty as his car and said oh I'm sorry you can't feel the AC I feel it just fine. Then he said if you don't like it, do you wanna get out? We said yes we do then he said well, I'm the only driver working so if you call again, you're gonna get me. They charge eight dollars per person CASH so it was gonna be $32 to ride 3 miles sitting in a car that smelt like smoke no AC in the sweltering heat on the seats that were stained and sticky and dirty and the car was already bashed in from an accident and the driver was a smart ass! Our taxi was truly one of filthiest, dirty, and smelliest cabs I've ever been in. There was a layer of dirt/dust/cat hair over everything and reeked of stale cigarette smoke! The condition of the Breezy cab made NYC taxis look like high class limos! While the price, $3 per person is good, the riding conditions made one feel way overcharged. With so many great things going on around Tybee, a little upkeep would go a long way.

Yes, it was a holiday weekend but this was precisely why we hired Crab Cab. While our driver did deposit us in town, as we were disembarking, he held back one of our party to return half of the fee we'd prepaid. There was an excuse given that there would be roadblocks and checkpoints on the road back to Tybee and that he wasn't sure if he'd be able to make it back to Savannah that night To pick us up. B.S. We thankfully managed to hire an Uber to return us home. There was no traffic, no checkpoints, and no roadblocks. The driver simply did not want to drive back to Savannah to pick us up. While we appreciate that he returned half of the fee, this is NOT how a business should be run. This company is undependable and should be relied upon for any of your transportation needs.

A friend picked us up upon our arrival, but when it was time to leave, we quickly realized that there are no ubers/lyfts on Hilton Head Island. They were responsive, sent me email confirmation, and very friendly via phone and email. My transportation arrived 10 minutes early to my hotel, and it was a very smooth drive to the airport. The driver was friendly, punctual, clean, and made an early airport ride very enjoyable. Definitely recommend ATG to anybody visiting HHI.

I explained that the Taxi ride from the Airport to the Resort was only $85. The Polite Shuttle employee went on to slander that taxi service saying they must be doing something "under the table". How can this be when the Savanah Airport Information Center also told me the price would be $85. The Polite Shuttle employee wanted me to commit to the ride and pay for it in advance. This obviously wouldn't leave me time to comparison shop. I ended up taking an Uber to the airport and the cost was $81. Talk about trying to take advantage...it is six days later and I'm still disgusted!
