This is by far the best place to go for spray tanning. I've gone to Golden Girl for awhile now and still continue to go because of the great customer service and convenience of it. It's such a great deal in comparison to other places and lasts significantly longer than the other spray tans I've done. I got it done a week and a half ago and still look tan! Also, it was raining the day I got it done and got water on my arm so it left a weird water mark, but they were so sweet to fix it for me the next day after I noticed! Every time I get my hair done I love it more than the last cut, which I thought was the best! She always matches my colors to my skin tone and eye color. This salon is gorgeous inside there's no doubt about that and it invites the calming feminine ambience you want in a salon. I came here for NYE after several recommendations for the best blow out in Chicago. I had a reservation at a specific start and end time. I planned my entire evening around that time a lot. I arrived 5 minutes early so I wouldn't be rushed. I told the nice woman at the front I was attending a wedding hence the hairstyle requested. I didn't know if I should sit or go back as no one told me when I would be taken back. I waited for 25 minutes before my stylist came to get me and I was so flustered. I wanted an updo and only had 35 minutes at this point to get out of the salon. I wish someone would have told me they were running behind so I could manage my time. I was so rushed I didn't have a moment to look at my hair and ask the stylist to tweak a few things. The stylist did do her best to move quickly and get me out ASAP. Pieces were coming undone before I even got home. Poor communication, poor time management and it felt disrespectful to sit and wait for an appointment on NYE. read more

I came here as an out of towner to get a blowout and makeup application for a Saturday night wedding. From making the appointment to walking out the door this is one of the best experiences I've ever had at a salon. The girls were friendly and hysterical. I laughed almost the entire two hours I was there. The space is trendy with great music and awesome decorations. Very warm and cozy, almost makes you feel like you're getting ready at a friends place. Not to mention that my hair and makeup looked flawless. They were very open to any suggestions I had and even touched up my hair after my makeup since we had to put it up and it fell a little flat. I have been getting tans from Jenn at Glowout since 2012. She literally lights up a room and makes you feel amazing the minute you walk in for an appointment. I am not going to lie, I have tried SEVERAL other tanning salons throughout the city off and on with mixed results. However, I always come back to Glowout. The tanning formula and airbrush technique are far superior than other places I have tried. My tans are always perfect. Not too dark, no streaks, and no orange hands or feet. I came here to get a spray tan before my wedding, and it was PERFECT. Even my husband goes to Jenn for tans when we head for vacation! In fact, we both have appointments next week before heading to Mexico. If you are a spray tan aficionado like myself, you already know Glowout and Jenn are the best. Glowout is the only place I will go for a spray tan ever again (after numerous botched tries at other places...always leaving looking like an Oompa Loompa! Ugh). Ask for Katie- she has tanned me several times (both original and express) and each time I end up with a perfect golden color that looks super natural. Glowout is amazing to say the least. As a client of Katie's, I have never left disappointed. While my first visit was for a spray tan, I have now gone multiple times to have Katie braid my hair for a party or wedding. Katie is incredible at what she does. I went to Golden Girl for my very first spray tan a few years ago for a wedding, and have been back for all my tanning needs for the various events leading up to my own wedding - including a tan for my wedding weekend. As a pretty natural girl, I was at first a little frightened of looking orange or fake - but Jen and Amie are both terrific and really do customize the tan for each person. I have never left Golden Girl feeling 'too tan' and every time I went, including my wedding weekend, many people commented on how amazing my skin looked, not realizing it was likely due to the very light, very natural spray tan. I also brought Amie into my bridal suite to my hair as well as various family members'. Amie completely worked with me, and we had multiple trials. She listened to my feedback and ended up with a look that was truly perfect, natural and very 'me'. My whole family adored her positive personality. She even touched up my sister's hair (done elsewhere) for free. Her prices are fair, her skills are top-notch and she really was a pleasure to have around us during the morning of my wedding. I went to Golden Girl for the first time last week for a spray tan, as I was standing up in a wedding this past weekend. First of all, I have been searching for a spray tan place that uses an organic formula and most importantly, doesn't stink! I read the reviews on Yelp and figured I would give it a shot. The day that I went last week it was snowing and traffic was a complete nightmare. It took me 45 minutes to get 12 blocks and I was late for my appointment. I called and they could not have been any nicer or accommodating! They said they completely understood and not to rush just get there when I could. Oh, and they let me park in one of their parking spots in back! I walked in and go figure I saw my best friend (the bride) and her sister. We had no idea that we booked appointments at the same place! The salon itself is SO cute and everyone there is so welcoming! The spray tan itself was fantastic!! When I have gone to other places, I am usually rushed into a freezing cold room and just sprayed with a stinky formula and then they want me out. Not here!! Jenn made sure that I washed off any make-up and deodorant so that I would have an even tan, and then she went through all the post-spray tan after care to ensure my tan lasts as long as possible. The room was warmed up and Jenn just made me feel so comfortable. Not to mention that it DOES NOT STINK! Then after the spray tan they brought the three of us these delicious sparkling sake drinks and told us that we could just relax and enjoy!
