I don't know why people are so angry at this place lol they deserve much better rating. Went there for the 2 ppl dinner deal, it was amazing. I was so full I couldn't walk afterwards. The steak was amazing the fried rice was so delicious, I also really enjoyed the calamari. We thought the food wouldn't be enough so we added bread, it was so delicious but we made a mistake by ordering too much. The dessert was huge too, I didn't really like it since it was lacking some coldness element, maybe reduce the size of the cake then add a scope of icecream? Service is pretty good! It's a beautiful restaurant.

We came for happy hour on a Friday and the place was empty at 3:30pm Fried Mac and cheese ($12) - not enough cheese inside and the outside wasn't crispy enough Mussels ($15) - were kind of small and the portion was small too. Flavour was they were okay but nothing I would go back for Chicken foie gras ($18) - no foie gras flavour whatsover. The sauce was way too sweet and the whole dish just didn't go well together. The truffle fries ($10) - the truffle fries were the best thing of the night. Crispy and fresh We also has a Cosmo, a sangria and a martini all of which were not memorable and didn't stand out. Overall I would not recommend glowbal for happy hour. Their happy hour menu has a lot of options but execution wise it wasn't great. I wouldn't go back for it and would choose their sister restaurant Riley's instead

Stopped in for drinks on a busy Friday night and the place was packed. Short wait before grabbing bar seats with a great view of the kitchen. The holiday Nutcracker whiskey cocktail was excellent with a fun smoked presentation. Drinks took a bit due to the crowd, but the staff was incredibly friendly and even brought complimentary prosecco (non-alcoholic for my pregnant wife) while we waited. One downside: the downstairs stairwell to the bathrooms had a strong odor--definitely needs attention.

On our last trip to Vancouver, we were happy hour hopping and noticed this restaurant with a patio really close to our hotel and decided to check it out! We weren't starving since we had already been to a few places, but we stopped in for drinks. The patio we sat in was really cute, and our friends had oysters which they said were fresh. The service was great, and my absolute favorite part was the drink they can print a picture onto!! Not the best tasting drink at all, but having a picture of my dog in the drink was so fun! I would come back to try other happy hour food items. We had a great time.

This place is amazing. And they have a great deal every day during happy hour Monday to Friday. It's usually a $20 lunch. My favorite is the Friday burger and beer and for another $5 you get avocado, bacon and mushrooms along with it. Shout out to Garbrielle for being an awesome server. The ambiance here is fantastic as this is Glowbal after all. If you're looking for an affordable weekday lunch, come to Global!

I went here tonight for a team dinner. This is definitely upscale prices so plan ahead, but tonight they were offering a 3-cource meal starting at $49 that came with an appetizer, entree, and dessert. I thought this was a fantastic buy so this is what I chose over the $230 tomahawk lol. For my appetizer I started with the Burrata Salad. It came with a whipped ricotta on the bottom dotted with orange segments and roasted beets topped with a half a burrata, endive, puffed rice and pistachios. This was very tasty and well-balanced. I haven't had beets in years as I'm not a fan, and these were good. The burrata added great creaminess and the puffed rice added great texture. For my entree I ordered the strip loin steak medium with roasted brussel sprouts, a pomme puree, topped with a black pepper gravy. This was very tasty and my steak was well seared and tender. I loved the brussel sprouts and the black pepper gravy tied the whole dish together. For dessert I chose the creme brulee cheesecake and it was beautiful. It had wonderful fresh elements with fresh fruit yet the cheesecake was so creamy and not overly sweet. When you combined everything together with the blueberry compote it was delicious. This restaurant is perfectly located in the middle of the city and is beautifully decorated. Our waiter was fantastic and did a great job explaining the menu, and everyone got what they wanted. It would have been nice to have an additional waiter for our party of 16 to attend to everyone's drinks as some were empty, but other than that, we had a great night. A wonderful ending to a great trip.

Huge, gorgeous patio. I normally come for happy hour or brunch. I recommend both! Just recently came for the big cut Thursdays and got an enormous 54oz tomahawk steak plus sides for $165. They pour butter and then torch both sides tableside which is cool to see. It was amazing and the service is always really great.

Lovely service from Lauren and her colleagues who even gave us little stools for our purses and my big backpack. Little surprised by the slow food service though. Attended for a group brunch to start at 11 am although our mains only ended up coming out at 12:45 which was a bit nuts. Only ended up leaving at 3 which is quite a long time for brunch at a restaurant. Wish that they'd offered a smoothie option without dairy in it or could have substituted my juice for it. Pastries were quite lovely. Took 3 from communal plates before getting my Korean chicken and waffles which I enjoyed very much.

This restaurant has an amazing atmosphere with a beautiful decoration. Their menu has great options and my favourite it was their Tuna Takaki and their passion fruit cheesecake was divine. The service is great and the waitress super friendly. Great to place to visit. Don't forget to make your reservation.

I came here with a friend for brunch -- in particular, to try the $12 egg benny. We shared the rib and mushroom benny as well as a truffle mac and cheese (+$5). The service was lovely and the waiter brought us the complimentary smoothie shots and mini donuts to start us off. I'd definitely recommend the benny as the meat was juicy and tender (didn't notice much mushroom). The drinks were also delicious -- I tried the cranberry mimosa, a solid brunch pick! I dropped a star merely because unfortunately the mac and cheese was quite disappointing, it was a bit watery and didn't have much of a truffle taste at all. It tasted more like a macaroni salad almost. Overall, I'm glad to have finally visited Glowbal and tried their brunch Would come back for the bennies + mimosas.

I came here for dinner tonight and unfortunately, this place was not up to my expectations. The food doesn't taste good. The oysters were sub-par. I had a couple that were definitely not fresh. They tasted very funky. The server was kind enough to replace it for me, but it still didn't taste good. My family members had the chicken and the beef tenderloin. They both said it was just alright. Pros: nice ambience, good brussels sprouts Cons: expensive for poor quality food, service was slow and non-attentive Once again, DO NOT trust Google reviews. At the most, I will give this restaurant a 3.5 not 4.5. I hope the Glowbal Group does something about this place because with the plethora of good restaurants in the city, I will not be patronizing them anymore.

34oz Grilled Porterhouse Steak And Jumbo Garlic Shrimps With Chimichurri-$135

i was blown away by this place! tldr: went for the cocktails, stayed for the steak. this place hands down is the BEST fancy restaurant i've ever been to! tip: go on THURSDAYS. they have smth called "big cut thursdays" where they have two steak sets you choose from at a discounted price. we got the 34oz Grilled Porterhouse Steak And Jumbo Garlic Shrimps With Chimichurri ($135) and for 2 ppl it was a lot of food (we were lowkey struggling). like i think it can easily feed 3 ppl. steak- asked for medium rare. It was actually medium rare. that thing was so tender we cut it with a butter knife. also they do this table side service where the chef sears the outside with a torch in front of you and slices the pieces. he was super knowledgeable about each cut of steak! chimichuri sauce was heavenly and paired so well w/ the steak (it was slightly spicy, salty and green onion-ish. soso good) jumbo shrimp- pan fried i think. idk what they seasoned it with but it was tangy, salty, and had a bouncy(?) texture. super yummy salad- seemed Asian inspired; had deep fried lotus root crisps on top of a spring mix, coated w/ a sesame dressing. it had the perfect amount of dressing to salad ratio. usually i find that salads often drown in the dressing, so i was pleasantly surprised! also comes with truffle rigatoni, roasted vegetables, potatoes with a mysterious tasty orange sauce. all i can say is they even made Brussels sprouts taste amazing We also got drinks: the illusionist ($26) and empress martini ($23). they didn't look that impressive compared to the photos and were kinda tiny. the illusionist was a bit of a letdown-had a strong prosecco taste but i just don't think it goes well with the peach. the empress martini was sweet and a lavender flavour. very nice!

The zara of restaurants; you leave paying over $100 for shein quality product. My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine's day this year, mostly because we moved to Vancouver recently so we wanted a cheap but nice place to eat and we did in fact get a cheap but nice place to eat. Ambiance was nice, this is where you go with your girls for a fun night out or a first date. It's vibey, its aesthetic, it plays pop music like chappell roan and the song olivia rodrigo wrote for the hunger games prequel movie. Service was standard, Omar did a great job delivering our food, cleaning up the cutlery and he was in and out. Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about. Wish I wasn't automatically charged 18% tip but i understand he's hustling on valentine's day. Food was bland. By far the worst beef tartare I've had in my life, not in a disgusting way but, out of all the ones I've had, i can confidently say it sits at the bottom. Bread was soft yet burnt, tartare quite literally tasted like nothing. The Spaghetti was okay, more taste than the tartare but comparable to canned spaghetti and the meatballs reminded me of the ones i used to get as a kid at Pickle Barrel (torontonians, iykyk). I will say there is ~some~ hints of truffle as if the truffle breathed on it but it in no way complimented the dish and i forgot about it by the time i finished the dish. My partner and I give this a 5/10, kinda wish I went to Halal guys tonight.

We came here for a Winnie the Pooh Afternoon Tea. Oh my goodness...it far exceeded my expectations!…read moreHats off to the kitchen staff for coming up with such a creative and whimsical afternoon tea. First thing that caught my eye was the cover of the afternoon tea menu. It was red with a picture of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin printed upon it in a shiny gold colour. When flipped over, it had the menu for the afternoon tea printed upon it. I was super impressed that they even had a separate menu printed for Vegetarians. (I opted for a Vegetarian menu). There was a cute little ceramic jar that was shaped like a Honey pot, and it had sugar cubes in it! Then there was this booklet that was pages long, and divided into Chapters. It was basically the menu again, but in the form of a small book. Each Chapter of the book described different foods from the afternoon tea. The last chapter listed all the different tea flavors one could choose. When we sat down and read this menu, I heard more than one person at the table say that they wanted to take this menu home. Guess what? For the price of $25, one could take this menu home as a memento of this extraordinary afternoon tea? Maybe I'm a bit of a sucker, but how often does one get to go to an afternoon tea as special as this? And I've always been a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh. So I coughed up the $25 and brought one of these menus home with us! Food was sooo good. I loved how warm the scone was when I cut it open. This was one of my favourite items. The sandwiches were amongst my favourites as well. As phenomenal as the experience was, I do think there are a few things which could have improved the experience. For one, a bit more service would have been appreciated. I had to wave my hand in the air to get our server's attention so that I could ask her to refill our tea pots with more hot water. Would have been nice if she'd just come around a bit more often and offered to top it up for us. Tea cozies on our tea pots might have been another improvement. A lot of my tea cooled down by the time I got to it. I like my tea hot but I didn't get in very many cups of hot tea as there was a lot of food to eat and by the time I was ready to pour myself some tea to wash down my food, the tea was...not so hot anymore. Oh, and while most of the food was appropriately sized, there was this one chocolate cookie sandwich that was really gigantic and suggested to be eaten last. We were so full already from all the other foods in the afternoon tea, and then to squeeze that giant cookie sandwich in...right at the end? A smaller and daintier cookie sandwich would have been preferred. It was overall a truly phenomenal experience. Yes, I do think it could have been slightly better, but I do emphasize the word "slightly". The points lost were so minor...I would still highly recommend this afternoon tea to anyone. It was well worth the money. It's offered every weekend for now but not sure how long they'll keep this around so if you're interested in a Winnie the Pooh themed afternoon tea, I'd make a reservation for it ASAP!

We sat indoors with the option to be seated outdoors with heated lamps but we didn't want to smell the smoke from people smoking outside. We ordered the Dark Spell Latte, Albedo Spritz, and Final Word. The Dark Spell Latte is like an espresso martini with chocolate syrup added, which is pretty solid. The Albedo Spritz is a red wine cocktail with hard liquor, and stood out to me as they had 5oz of alcohol so this was fairly strong, but I would imagine most of the ounces came from the wine itself. I liked the gold dusted blackberry. The Final Word is fruity and smoky, which I enjoyed, but not warrant a hefty price tag compared to the other drinks. Service is decent and in line with other restaurant bars. Overall, solid drinks at okay prices that I can see myself recommending this spot.
