Stopped into Gloriaz Pub for a quick bite and had a decent experience overall. I ordered the club sandwich, which was actually pretty solid, and good portion size. The rest of the menu seemed like your typical bar food lineup, nothing fancy but gets the job done. Service was friendly, though definitely rushed. They were pretty busy, so it's understandable, but it did feel a bit hectic. The place has that classic dive bar vibe, which can be charming in its own way, but it could use a little TLC, cleanliness and some updates. The blonde server and bartender were doing a great job managing a full floor. The service was good. Unfortunately, the food was below average. We ordered the chips and guacamole as an appetizer, and they were incredibly stingy with the guacamole. The chips were also very stale. The ramekin holding the guac was insultingly small and they should honestly be embarrassed to serve that to customers. My friend ordered a burger, and they put the smallest amount of sauce I've ever seen... again, stingy. I got a taco salad, which was actually yummy. The cocktails were strong but not tasty at all, pretty hard to get down. There were no condiments or napkins at the table, which felt like another oversight. A man answered and listened without interrupting until I told him about my credit card. He hung abruptly. After 3x calling back and getting voicemail I decided to stop the credit card. It took awhile and they did not charge anything until I called. Criminal behavior! Fraud too Credit card assistance said, 'file a police report" I m waited until Sunday night. Dined here a week ago for the first time. Variety of menu items & drink items. Rustic, & relaxing atmosphere. As with most restaurants they appear short staffed so it took the waitress 15 minutes to take our order even tho the place was not busy. Then another almost 20 minutes to get our order. Food served hot, tasty & generous portions. Highly suggest they do a more thorough cleaning. An item dropped behind the seat of the booth I was sitting in & decided when I pulled the seat back to retrieve my item not to because there was an accumulation of food from many diners not cleaned up & very dirty. This used to be a main stay for me and my group of friends. It's gone downhill since newer ownership. The quality of the food and customer service is the biggest changes we have all noticed. The Nachos are extremely underwhelming for the cost. The chips came out so cold the cheese that was lightly sprinkled over the top wasn't even melted. It was effectively chips, shredded cheese, minimal toppings and garnishings. If you are looking for a place that serves alcohol, this place can handle that. Food, go down the road, either direction. Unfortunate to write this review after spending over a decade going here and enjoying the Tacos and quality customer service until this last trip. Poor bartender was faced with making a strawberry daiquiri, tense moment, I thought the fellow that ordered it was joking, but they do have a blender, and strawberry purée. Had chili dog (purists won't call it chili, mostly beans, very little chili), couple burgers (overcooked), coleslaw (bland), chicken cobb (mostly dry chicken, not much salad, no eggs or cheese, but did have diced tomatoes and two slices of cucumber), tots and fries (both of which were very good). Clackamas and Happy Valley neighbors: This is YOUR hometown cozy bar\grill. We have lived here local and our kids both graduated from Clackamas high. Gloria'z has hosted three parties for us in the mill room. Every time has been spot on. Last weekend Toby (owner) hosted our daughter's birthday and celebration of acceptance to a exclusive graduate school on the east coast. Lynn our host and party coordinator was great and attentive. We had a large buffet of Mexican fare, taco, burrito bar with fruit salad and veggie bar. It was just awesome. The staff was helpful, friendly and attentive. Mind you, this was for 40 to 60 over the open house of 3 to 4 hours. The service and attention for a reasonable cost above expectation. My fiancé and I first stopped here New Year's Day to catch the end of the rose bowl and get some drinks. Our server was off putting at first, seemed a little sour. But she was attentive, polite and fast. We visited again today and ordered a hot dog and nachos. Both were really good, absolutely no complaints. The menu has a good variety of choices and their drink selection is awesome as well. The happy valley cider in a can is to die for. Our server today was very pleasant and attentive. I really like Gloria'z! It's one of those dive bar type places. We didn't even know for the longest time that this place was here because of its location. The back of the building is facing the street so it almost looks like a clothing store, its kind of weird but there is parking. The staff is always nice, it's a fun place to watch football games that's really why we come!! They have a killer Bloody Mary bar that they let you do yourself (minus poring the liquor lol but they aren't stingy). Drinks are nice and strong, beer always good and cold. Food is great. I actually was beyond surprised this past weekend when we went in. We had a later game so I ordered off the lunch menu, a burger. It was freaking awesome! It was a bacon cheeseburger I believe with the house made sauce. Oh my, I stuffed that bad boy down my throat so fast. Didn't hold back. So yummy. My husband said his food was good and so did my father in law. One thing to know is that the bar fills up quickly (seat yourself) on game days. It's always pretty live in there, great crowds, friendly people. There is a dinning area with smaller TVs but all the action is in the bar! The prices aren't bad in my opinion. We love coming here. Since the change of ownership it's been different. Service has been pretty sad. Food hasn't tasted very good. Mixed drinks don't taste very good. Just a change and shift from what it was last year. I've drove past this place multiple times and finally stopped in for some drinks on one of their taco Tuesdays. I was pleasantly surprised by how cozy and cute this bar is. I decided to give their tacos a try. I really liked how plain they are. I don't know how to explain it other than they reminded me of tacos you would eat at someone's house. My girlfriend had the dinner salad and had no complaints. I enjoyed a PBR and she enjoyed a spicy bloody mary. We definitely want to go back but hopefully this time there won't be a massive amount of smoke coming out of the kitchen. read more

Hard place to find the parking lot, let alone the driveway... Service was good, waiter was attentive but not too clingy. I had the 8 oz. Top Sirloin steak with Mashed potatoes. It came with a salad and garlic toast. Salad was OK, Garlic toast needed Garlic. Decent looking Steak was cooked on a flat grill and I asked for Medium got Medium-rare and oh by the way no seasoning on the steak. Not a good start. Potatoes were OK but gravy needed help getting out of the package still. Bland. No veggies on the plate nor any other garnish to break up the sea of white china. It was just OK. This place definitely has a very 'locals only' feel about it (I am a local and felt intimidated!). The drinks were amazingly cheap and the food was amazingly fried, and the people were all having lots of fun around us. I really enjoy dropping into this place everyone in a while (sometimes you just need a cheap drink and some fried shrimp, or is that just me?) I will warn though, if its busy, the service drops from being okay to terrible real quick. Do not order the steak, you will be sorry if you do. We thought we ordered the 8 oz top sirloin but found out it was rib eye, their most expensive steak. It was supposed to be 16 oz but I probably had 3 oz of meat, my spouse had maybe 4 oz but his was super tough. the waitress took back my plate full of fat--yuk!! I looked forward to trying because I like somewhere casual to play video lottery and have a couple drinks. My partner and I ended up first trying Gloriaz for breakfast. This place is certainly cozy, comfortable, and casual but the service sucks. We were seated promptly and ordered shortly thereafter. For a simple breakfast burrito we waited 40 mins without any exaggeration... I even asked my partner can we please leave. I kind of got the feeling they prioritized serving certain local and common patrons before us. All in all we were one of four tables and couple bar patrons and it was over one hour fifteen minutes. We had to inquire about our order by getting up and walking across the room and talking to a server. They weren't even apologetic about the delay or genuinely concerned when we inquired. read more

Happy hour is decent with $3.5 (? can't remember the exact price) beers on tap, FRIED MAC 'N CHEESE, onion rings, etc. Taco Tues & Thurs are the days they have $1 beef taco (other tacos start at $1.5) served with chips and salsa. I went here for lunch and had a prime rib sandwich along with a Captain and Coke. The food was good and inexpensive and is a nice local option for dining. The atmosphere is cozy and it is always nice to see a building that is still in use after more than 100 years, especially out in the Clackamas area.
