This is a lunch place that isn't open long hours. It is a distinctive place, in offering a mix of health food for special diets in a region that doesn't have a ton of that. Plenty of fresh spices were on display in the tiny shop, which has a couple of indoor and outdoor seats. I found them offering a vegan breakfast menu, which offered the sort of platter I rarely find available for this dietary niche, including breakfast potatoes, a tofu scramble, a piece of some relatively inoffensive veggie sausage, and bread with what I forgot was not butter. A matcha latte has some interesting sweetener that didn't quite exceed my tolerance and was over coconut milk. My kind of restaurant: Nutritious options with lots of vegetables and fruit, vegetarian and vegan dishes, Mediterranean meals (including falafel and hummus). Everything I tasted was delicious and thoughtfully made. I got the Buddha bowl, which came with roasted sweet potatoes, tempeh, curried chickpeas, brown rice and kale. Eating it felt like a vitamin injection. To drink, I got the hot golden milk, which came with lots of turmeric and ginger. My dining companions ordered different things off of the menu and let me take bites: spring rolls (yum, especially with the sauce), empanada (my favorite), falafel (great) and soup (I didn't taste). They also offer vegan desserts, which I was tempted to try but was stuffed from my healthy lunch. The restaurant itself is very small with not a lot of seating. I'd say maybe eight people can sit down inside, but there are some tables out on the sidewalk for outdoor seating. read more

FANTASTIC! This place doesn't perform culinary arts. Globowl is practicing culinary alchemy. With the marriage of fresh ingredients, perfect seasoning, and amazing chef skills, my taste buds were temporarily suspended in the stratosphere. I have never experienced anything like this. The only hard part was trying to decide on one dish from the many tempting choices on the menu. Everything sounds incredible. The staff was friendly and attentive. Lauren, the owner and chef is a wonderfully interesting character. She comes from a background of international living as well as an eclectic blend of American experiences. Lexington is lucky that she decided to open her restaurant there. I've noticed on other reviews that people are mentioning "proteins". There are some "add ons" available that would be more aptly called sides. Most of the dishes contain protein rich ingredients. Mushrooms contain 9 amino acids making them a complete protein. Quinoa is a complete protein. Most selections have legumes of some sort. Again, these are plant proteins. Cheese has protein. I see the selections as well thought out as far as being nutritionally balanced and then created with the flavor being very important. My wife and I had a zen bowl and we WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! It's very rare that I eat someone else's cooking and don't find the need to add a little salt or pepper or find the dish too salty. The zen bowl was quite literally PERFECT. Can't wait to be in the area again so that we can experience another sensational selection. If you are any where near Lexington, the food is worth the extra drive. You don't need to be a vegan, vegetarian, gluten free or have any diet restriction to appreciate the amazing creations this place is producing. First off, I'm a carnivore. Secondly, that doesn't matter when it comes to this food because it tastes so damn good. Anyone who sees this place and walks away because of the vegan dishes will regret it. They offer protein, sure, but you don't need it. The Vietnamese tofu rolls are awesome. The empanadas are a little heavy on the dough side but the fillings are made with love. My favorite, the "Pollo" is delicious. I couldn't tell the soy chicken wasn't real chicken. The best thing about this place is that once you are done eating the food, you feel healthy. And, it makes you happy. As jacked up as the world is today, I'll be visiting more and more often to make myself both of the above. read more

The reason this place has no reviews is because it just opened in October 2020 per the owner. I ordered a Buddha Bowel while stopping in town for a supercharger. I found the portion size to be amazing for a road trip meal. I ordered a carryout/takeout meal and it was ready in 5 to 10 mins. When I walked in, I saw that the staff wore masks and gloves. I *think* there was hand sanitizer but my memory is a little spotty. I ordered the Buddha bowl with no extra proteins (any extra protein is 5 dollars each). Thankfully, the portion size was great and the flavor profile was excellent without any more bells and whistles. I spoke with the owner and she listened to my travel story and was so nice that she even threw in some pumpkin spice vegan cookies (they had vanilla icing and pumpkin seeds on top). I will definitely be back again if we stop by the same supercharger again. One of the best vegan restaurants I've stopped by on my drives down south. Please give this place an honest shot!
