I love love this ball park. It's a baseball game so I assumed it was going to be hot. It's Texas, right?!?! Nope, it's a covered room ball park and it's a little chilly inside. It feels wonderful! Todays $1 hotdogs which are awful but it's all for baseball! I got a extremely cold beer for $12 and sat with my shades on and enjoyed 9 innings. I think it's 9 innings! Let's just say I sat quietly and people watched. All in all I'd go again. I'm out with a baseball fan and watching him enjoy his self was everything to me! It's a win, win!! Globe Life Field has a 5.5 retractable roof that provides shade and cool temperatures all year long. The average temperature is set in the mid 70's and in my opinion is the best place to watch and enjoy a baseball game while beating the Texas summer heat. Globe Life Field opened its doors in 2020 and is located just south of the Rangers old field called Globe Life Park. The Texas Rangers occupied Globe Life Park from 1994 to 2019. Seating The overall capacity is approximately 40,300 on seven seating levels. At Globe Life Field it doesn't feel as if there is a bad seat in the house. You can get views from all around the ballpark. There are also giant monitors, numerous food stations, drink stations, food courts and restrooms. Guest are only a short walk away from what they need. I recommend trying their margarita swirl. It's quite refreshing after walking from the parking lot to the stadium and it is tasty. read more

I went to a game recently and we had seats that were pretty close to the top and there really seems like there isn't a bad seat in the house. As a funny note, where we were the ladies restroom had no line and the guys restroom had a line running down the concourse. I thought it was funny because it never happens that way. The food was decent and had the expected stadium markup, but the experience was awesome. The stadium is clean, nice and comfortable. Each of the people we interacted with who were working there was nice, friendly and seemed to enjoy their job. Overall, it was a fun and great experience. We would definitely recommend the stadium regardless of where your seats are. read more

First time at this ballpark and I loved it!!! I love that it is indoor and air conditioned in order to withstand this Texas heat. The seats are nice and spacious with enough room to walk through, or for your toddler to have a tantrum and fully throw herself on the ground. The food was delicious too. We tried the Pizza Dawwg, which was one of the best things I have ever tried. A slice of pizza which was kid approved. The brisket croissant was delicious, it was both savory and sweet. We couldn't leave the ballpark without getting some Blue Bell Ice Cream in some Texas Rangers helmet. Overall such a great time. read more

This park is clean and convenient for any age fan. The kids zone is fun and they offer batting practice through the 4th inning and then it becomes a play zone. The concessions are conveniently placed and easy to access. Ive been to the all you can eat section twice and seems to be a good deal with decent seats. The food is typical ballpark food in this section so burgers and dogs, nachos, etc. The mothers rooms are very nice here compared to other parks I've visited. They are conveniently placed and stocked with necessities to allow you to bring less into the park. The nursing chairs are comfortable and large. They are not busy and think I've only waited once over 4 games. read more

This is brand new Globe Life Field located in Arlington, Texas and home of MLB's Texas Rangers!!! I was truly grateful to be here as it once again reestablished me having visited every MLB park in the country! I was here back in late August 2021 and to say it was hot outside would be an understatement, lol. But I believe the heat was the primary reason why the owners decided to build this Globe Life Field with a retractable roof. During summer times, it's just scorching. And interestingly, the old ballpark called Globe Life Park didn't have a roof to it even though I had been there once before and really appreciated the setting for watching a Rangers game. I liked it and the stadium wasn't even that old. But I guess the driving factor of the Texas heat was too much to handle and that's why I have returned to Dallas and this modern state of the art complex! And...funny how the old stadium is situated across the street and it's very confusing, as in the names... - This new baseball mecca is called Globe Life FIELD - The old stadium was called Globe Life PARK. So...same sponsor, but they just changed the "park" to a "field". I don't understand why, but it is what it is, lol. Prior to coming to Globe Life Field, my last stadium visit was in Atlanta at Truist Park where they had built a new venue in the suburbs of Cobb County, Atlanta replacing Turner Field. What's very similar between Truist Park and this Globe Life Field is that they're both situated around an active dining and shopping district. This attracts a lot of fans and folks who enjoy hanging out before and after games. Or, even if you're not attending the games, you can relax and watch the games right outside the park. But overall, you can enjoy the ambiances of both complexes whether you venture inside the ballparks or not. But now back to focusing on this Globe Life Field...not only are there restaurants, bars and even a hotel here...but right nearby this corner section of Arlington, Texas is AT&T Stadium and home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys! AT&T Stadium is actually within walking distance of Globe Life Field. I went to a Cowboys preseason football game one day and then returned here for an insightful ballpark tour (which I highly suggest). The following day I came back to attend a game. Well...for back-to-back days I attended 2 Rangers games just for the fun of it, why not!? Basically, all I'm saying is this section of Arlington is terrific for all the sports enthusiasts out there. For those who may be interested, the area in front of the shopping and restaurant district also offers a unique look at Globe Life Field. Only thing I'd caution is...many more fans walk around and explore this part of the park and if you're looking for quality picture opportunities, you may get "photobombed" by strangers (just a personal pet peeve of mine, lol). Btw, in front of the shopping area is a statue of famed pitcher Nolan Ryan, certainly worthy of a family photo. Alright, well, I guess when Oakland or Tampa gets their new parks (I'm assuming eventually in due time), I'll have to venture out to those places as well as it appears my never-ending MLB park journey will continue on. Surprisingly the lines for food weren't that long - but we were sitting in the lower levels. Also surprising and disappointing was the lack of variety of food available for purchase. One think I really liked here were replays. It didn't matter which team made a good play it was played on the screen. Texas hospitality!?! Definitely a new and shiny stadium! I was so grateful to hear we'd be getting a new indoor baseball stadium that would be covered with AC! Gone are the days where we're sweating our faces off in 100 degree Texas weather like we were in the old Rangers ball park! There are a few things that I miss about it though.. There are about 100 different concession stands to choose from (although lots are currently closed due most likely to COVID). The seats are excellent and in new conditions. The AC is bowing, and the views are awesome! Also, almost every single staff member was so incredibly nice. Love this about baseball fans! Only reason this isn't 4 stars is because a bunch of us are used to the old ball park where we could bring in our own coolers and backpacks full of food/snacks and this one is a bit more strict. I thought this was a nice stadium ! Only complaint are the employees. We went to a weekday game and decided to get the tickets then. Now, the lady at the box office was literally yelling at a little boy (around 8) to give her a pen back ( which I guess he walked away with). She would not help us, while we stood at the window until she got the pen back. After the little boy brought it back she basically bad talked him and it was just distasteful. Then when we got inside and went to our seats (about 40 mins into the game). One of the employees literally followed us to our seats and asked for our tickets. Weird since we didn't see this happen to anyone else and it's just not a good look to follow the black people. Now I will say both of these people were old, so maybe some training is needed. read more

Stadium Ranking: #13 of 30 --- --- --- I completed my mission to attend a game at all 30 MLB stadiums back in 2014, but that was before Globe Life Field's existence. As soon as the news came out that the Rangers would be getting a new ballpark, my first thought was: "Wow, before the Rays and A's get a new park, who desperately need one?" And then my second thought was: "Well, the first time the Indians come here, I'll be in attendance." In fairness, the Braves were much worse offenders in terms of getting a new park when it really wasn't needed. Turner Field was a great place to watch a game. The Old Rangers stadium was definitely pretty low in my rankings. Speaking of Tampa Bay and Oakland, it was only one spot above those two, however, the chasm between #28 and #29 was enormous, IMO. Those other parks are atrocities. But onto the park itself: First off, I originally had Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia ranked #13. For anyone looking at my rankings, I cannot edit my old reviews, so we'll just have to slide everything else down one spot. It's shiny and new. To be honest, that's the best thing going for it. Well, that, and the retractable roof in a city that gets unbearably hot in the summer. Was there one particular thing that impressed me, beyond the newness? To be honest, not one thing comes to mind. If anything, I grade it a bit more harshly than I normally would because when you have a brand new facility, it should be pretty amazing. But as I walked through the concourse, I was reminded of (new) Yankee stadium in terms of there just being a pretty stark lack of character. Everything is clean, but is there anything cool to look at as you walk through here? There was 1-2 neat looking photo. That's pretty much about it. The new stadium in Atlanta has a lot of character on the concourses, as a comparison. The sight lines? They are fine. The video board? Solid. But don't come expecting to be blown away like you would be if you visit the football stadium next door. The biggest question I have is: will they really get enough use out of the old stadium to keep it up? So weird. read more

Bought tickets to the Rangers / Mariners game to take family members from out of town to see the new Rangers field. The new look and feel of the stadium is AWESOME, honestly the scale of it is breathtaking. My only complaint is how close together the seats are, it is even worse than the old stadium. A 100lb adult will be shoulder to shoulder with your neighbor and there's no avoiding that. You WILL be making friends with your neighbor whether you like it or not. Unfortunately, towards the end of the game, I unintentionally made enemies with Debbie from hospitality. My seats were in the last row of section 213 and we were in and out of our seats to go to the bathroom, vending, and buying souvenirs. There was also an elderly couple sitting in the ADA seats next to us, who we were making small talk with throughout the game, including waving goodbye and telling them to have a safe night. Out of no where, Debbie comes storming up to us and is screaming at us for standing in a "no standing area" and then also brought these crazy allegations of us being rude to the elderly people around us and not moving when they asked us so they could leave. NONE OF THAT IS TRUE and she claims to have witnessed this from 2 sections away in Section 211. I politely said that was untrue and that we absolutely moved out of the way and treated that couple with respect. When I was trying to tell her what actually happened, she rudely cut me off and yelled in my face "I am not here to argue, you need to go back to your seats", which we were standing 1 foot away from. She then went back to a group of hospitality workers pointing at me while gossiping to her coworkers. The entire experience was off putting and made me feel uncomfortable for the remainder of the game. Many other people in section 213 witnessed Debbie harassing me for no apparent reason. All she had to say was "this is a no standing area, please make your way back to your seat"... but failed to have an adult conversation. When my spouse approached her to get her name to file a report, she screamed in his face and held up her name tag and said "ITS RIGHT HERE!!!". We honestly did nothing to our knowledge to Debbie or anyone else in our area. Regardless of what I paid for my seats, EVERYBODY should be treated with respect. It's straight up listed on the behavior/expectations upon entering the stadium. Hopefully this is a problem that you can resolve in the future. read more

I have been wanting to go to the new ballpark for a while now and we had an opportunity to do so when we had family come up from San Antonio for a ball game this past weekend. It was a bit muggy and hot walking from the parking lot to the ballpark, but once we got inside we (or at least I) were grateful for the roof being closed and having the a/c on. I know a lot of people on here are crying about how baseball games should be played on real grass and outdoors, but if you've ever sat in the old stadium out in center field during a 100 degree weather day, you will agree that indoor ballpark is the way to go here in Texas. We sat in a great section, where we could see the whole field and loved the fact that we didn't have any seats behind us. There were a lot of concession stands closed, which didn't make any sense to me. I didn't have any real complaints about the ballpark, I may come back for another game, but highly unlikely because I'm not a real baseball fan :) read more

It was our first time to visit the new home for our Texas Rangers major league baseball team. The $1.2B Globe Life Field is a big improvement over the previous ball park, which wasn't at all shabby. But, now we have the largest single panel retractable roof in the world and somebody can make the decision to let the sun in or keep us in air conditioned comfort. We enjoyed the air conditioned comfort and fans will probably need it for the rest of the season with our Texas heat. The outside is impressive but not what I would call beautiful (compared to the Cowboys football stadium next door) but it is incredible inside. The seating capacity is 40,300 and there were quite a few empty seats. Our view of the field was outstanding, especially from our seats behind home plate and 1 level up. The synthetic playing field is supposed to have the highest performance for baseball and natural grass aesthetics but I don't think it looks as good. But, it's difficult to grow real grass indoors. The Rangers played the Kansas City Royals. Not much of a contest, as the Rangers shut out the Royals 8 - 0. Joey Gallo knocked out 2 home runs, scoring 5 Ranger runs. That was awesome. The Rangers swept the 3 game series with the Royals and sent them packing. read more

I love baseball, and for Father's Day, my wife surprised me with tickets to the Rangers game. The tickets that she purchased were in the Stub Hub Club section , and gave us access the the club. We attend the game on Fathers Day, and the new ballpark is absolutely incredible. A nice 72 degrees inside is a great way to watch a ball game. We had incredible cushioned seats, Section 17, row 12 that were close to the action, and we were able to access the club before, and during the game. They had a nice buffet with rotating entrees through the 4th inning, including ballpark favorites available through the 7th. Domestic beer, craft beer, and wine are included and available as well. Our seats included in seat service for all the ballpark favorites, including beer and soft drinks. I like the layout, wide concourse, and plenty of restrooms. The ballpark has giant scoreboards, for all to see. I'm a baseball purist, and with it was natural grass, but I will take artificial turf, to enjoy a 72 degree game in June, July, and August. We also purchased parking on Stub Hub, Lot V, which was a nice, quick 5 minute walk. And.. we had an incredible time. read more

So, I have been to Globe Life Park as well and I must say I did like the old park as a whole better. This park is nice, for sure! But it doesn't hardly have any character. The roof is definitely a plus on a hot day though, and even when the roof was open it was cool by the concessions! We sat in section 2 the first day and 102 the second day. Section 2 was AWESOME, great views of everything. 102 was good as well, but we couldn't see the left fielder, which was a little bummer. As a whole, there are more great seats than bad seats. In right field, there are seats behind the foul pole but it looked like they didn't sell those seats because no one sat in them either game day. There are some rocking chair seats available, which I would love to sit in next time. We did do a tour of the stadium, which I recommend! We got to meet Chuck, the announcer, and he was super cool! Overall, the field was awesome! I just wish the architects would've added a little character that the "old" field had. read more

Amazing sports venue. What a building let alone a stadium. The Rangers needed an indoor field and now they have one. It's amazing what just 10 years has done for stadiums. The field and views are amazing already but it's the concourse areas that have really taken off. We came here for the Elton John "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" concert and it was great. The acoustics aren't very good for a concert here, the sound rolls to the back of the stadium and bounces around. I haven't been to a baseball game and probably don't think I will unless it's already paid for. Look, I know that everything is expensive now, but going to a major stadium for a concert or sporting event is just too much. We chose to park in one of the close lots and that was very pricey (but, we knew the cost ahead of time). The bigger and surprising expenses hit you after you get inside. I'm talking about the Elton John merch, I'm talking about the food and beverages. $16 for a very mediocre hot dog and soda (I did get the souvenir cup, but still). The worst was when I got a couple of mixed drinks. I knew it was going to be expensive, but they automatically gave me double shots and charged me extra for it ($50 for two mixed drinks). I knew going into this that it was going to cost, but it still gave me sticker shock. I know that every event like this is just as expensive and that's the way it is, but that's why I don't go to these events very much any more. read more

From a season ticket holder. All was well till the park decided to change entry procedure to move scanners closer to doors and slow entry by 10 minutes. Also awfully decision to allow arlington police to regulate traffic at Ballpark way and Randol Mill at NE corner of lot B. This delayed entry to lot B by at least 20 minutes. Overall review of the ballpark with a tilt towards the food/drink options. Despite being the newest MLB stadium, I feel pretty strongly that this one ranks in the lower tier of those I've visited. It doesn't help that Globe Life Park down the street was such a great example of the 90s style retro stadiums. You have your pretty standard ballpark food options along with some more bbq as you'd expect for Texas. Those options are more affordable than I've seen at most ballparks, particularly if you come on dollar hot dog night. However they are pretty lacking in diversity of options. I'd recommend eating elsewhere (not Texas Live) before the game. There's a pretty phenomenal craft beer scene in Texas, but you sure wouldn't know it coming to a game here. The options are super lacking and unfortunately the surrounding pregame area is also lacking in that department. The aesthetics of the stadium are where I feel there's the biggest step down from the previous iteration. Most of the field looks like what you'd get if Artificial Intelligence farted out a baseball stadium. The sheer volume of green is very clearly influenced by Minute Maid. The random jutting in and out of the outfield walls makes for an odd watch from a park factors perspective that feels like a computer just averaged out distances from home plate across different stadiums. In theory the brick in left field as a homage to the old stadium is a nice idea, but it does not go with the rest of the park at all. Continuing on aesthetics, I get why a baseball stadium in Texas needs the option to play indoors, but when that roof is closed it really feels like you're in a warehouse. The view is significantly improved if the roof is open, but you'll really only get that in April or September, even then it seems to generally be reserved for night games. As you would imagine for a stadium in Texas, access is next to impossible without a car. There's free parking not much further than the $15 parking, so I highly recommend doing a little research beforehand to track that down. Inside the stadium there aren't too many things to check out related to the Rangers history. They have some small murals for retired jerseys/pennant winning teams. The Rangers Hall of Fame is outside the stadium on the opposite end of Texas Live. Curious choice to put it out there given the primary purpose of this stadium was to escape the heat. The exhibits are informative and would take about 30m if you want to check them all out, which can be challenging if you're visiting during the summer. read more

This last time I sat in the All You Can Eat section. It was nice to have unlimited sodas but the food was only so/so. Beautiful park, both inside and out. Kinda sucks the Tribe lost that day, which is the whole reason for me going. The inside of the park reminded me of the inside of an office building -- it had conference rooms and even behind home plate you could see people sitting in desk chairs with monitors, which was kinda funny. Germania lounge is absolutely 100% worthless. There are zero amenities to these tickets. All it is is a concession stand that you have to take an elevator to get to with a worse view than I had from my seats that I paid $200 a ticket for. I had seats last night that were not as good and had access to a Buffet. Even the ushers were saying there's not much to these tickets. The only reason it's getting 2 stars is the view from the seats but they should not advertise the Germania lounge as any type of perk, there is nothing to it and it should be open to anyone with a ticket to the game. read more
