It seemed as though I was unwelcome from the very start and it proceeded to the completion of our interaction. She made it clear my business and my pet were not wanted. She also stated my breed usually doesn't do well at doggy daycare without even meeting my pet but she did state their was a dog there that was the same breed as mine. She made it overtly obvious there was some type of prejudice toward me. I wanted to see if she would even offer a brochure at the end of our interaction which she did not, I had to ask. Needless to say if you treat me in this manner I would not let you even lay eyes on my precious canine. BEWARE!! Make your own judgement but this was my personal experience.

My dog Izzy absolutely loves it at Paws! It's helped him socialize and he always leaves with a smile on his face. Most of the staff is also very nice, loving, good to the dogs. Besides a recent bought of kennel cough Izzy picked up at camp, we have no complaints about the day care. The issue I have is that out of the blue the owners decided to increase the half day rate from $19 to $35! That's 4 hours for $35! And a full day is the price of double what it costs for me to board my dog overnight at my veterinarian. I completely understand a business needing to hike up rates due to increased cost, but not only was this abruptly done, but the owner (like reviewer Hannah experienced) came up to me as I was picking up Izzy and said "we better buy packages now because prices are going up in a day or so!" It was rude and as a regular weekly customer I was offended that a mailing didn't go out, nor did an email or anything professional. Paws not only increases prices but no longer wipe the dogs down after they played and drooled on each other all day, and have not replaces their old, used toys in ages. Makes me sad but if prices don't go down, it seems like once our packages are done we will not be able to return to Paws. Just too expensive!

Apon pulling up I was skeptical but as I was about to get out a man was walking in with his pup excited to get inside. Washes are only $10, yes 10 which is a great deal you pay up front and they provide you with towels. Every 4th wash is free so it's an amazing deal with 2 dogs. The room is heated a bit which is great when the dogs are wet. There's a ramp to help dogs get in and out of the tub easily. They have smocks for the wash and when you blow dry how cool. I love the different shampoos since the dogs have 2 different skin and fur types and you shouldn't run out. There's brushes and detangling gloves galore, and lukewarm adjustable blowers. The selection of options is a great find to have so close by and convenient. I love that the baths are so high up so I'm not hurting my back cleaning the little one. Initially , I wanted a mobile groomer to come to my home for my dog's comfort until I found out that they take themselves more seriously than the Navy SEALs do. Meanwhile, Shannon's assured me that they had a tub that would accommodate my older, larger dog who desires comfort at all times. It was easy to get an appointment and they were clear about their processes and rules. They were ready for my dog on time and he was sparkling clean and ready to go an hour later. The cost was good for a short haired dog that doesn't need a lot of fussy clipping or styling. He told me on the ride home that he liked it there and everyone was nice to him, so I will gladly come here again when he needs his next bath and groom.

While making the appointment, the date was set to later but they moved him into a canceled slot because of the nature of his needs and how bad it would be to let his foot get worse. We came in the next morning and he saw a doctor who had dealt with pillow foot before. She recommended oral meds and some pain killers. We had hoped for the injection to simplify things but they said they didn't carry it at all. So, we went with the oral meds. This does mean we will have to stress out our senior cat a bit more but I guess it staves off diabetes for him? I'm t not sure which is the lesser evil in this case.

Both times we had a smooth and easy experience. Everyone is so nice, from the doctors and techs to the front desk staff. Directions for home care are explained well, estimates are clear and extremely accurate, and the follow-up calls to check on our pets after their procedures are especially helpful - I also received a response from a doctor in both cases (within minutes) a few days after their surgeries when it seemed like they were having additional pain. I'm just blown away by how much they care for our beloved pets. We feel so comfortable bringing them here we've decided to try out the kennel in a few weeks as well. If we lived closer we would want to come here for everything but for now we will be happy to be able to utilize the kennel and hospital for dental and any other major things. We highly recommend Dr. McCourt because she performed both of our dog's procedures and was absolutely fabulous but we have met one or two of the other doctors and they have had the same level of attention and kindness. It's truly a wonderful place.
