She also was very informative. When it came time to look at frames, the woman who helped me got many options for me to try. She gave me her honest opinion on which looked best. The staff was professional from the moment I walked in to the end of the visit. I was promptly greeted with a smile, given easy forms to sign, and seen by Dr. Roshnee Patel within ten minutes. The store is very clean, dust free, and sanitizer is readily available throughout. Dr. Patel was very warm, welcoming and so down to earth. Just from her warm smile greeting, Dr. Patel immediately made me feel comfortable. She took her time with the exam, explaining things as she went. She answered my questions and concerns with care. She eased my mind. She never rushed me through the exam. More importantly, the exam went well and I was confident that I (finally) received an accurate lens prescription. Via lens scan, she confirmed my suspicion that one of the lenses in my existing-old prescription from a different chain wasn't accurate. Her staff helped me select new frames based on what style I liked. Then, I was encouraged to browse on my own without the hovering nor upsell pressure. I found a great pair of frames in a style I hadn't considered before. There are many designer frames here: Versace, Michael Kors, etc. Later, I saw that the frames sold here are current designs and sold very close to retail price. The frames that I chose were just five dollars more than the manufacturer's website. If I could change anything, I would suggest that the thermostat be adjusted as needed. It was an unseasonally warm day, and it was very warm inside the building. Overall, this was my first time ever using Pearl Vision and Dr. Patel and her staff left a great impression. They've restored my faith in physicians and I will make this my permanent place for glasses.

However, you need to be on alert with the sales folks there. After the exam, I decided I wanted to get my kids some glasses with blue light blockers since they are on their computer and iPad a lot for homework and game. So they picked out some glasses nothing outrages overpriced. One picks up one frame for $129 and the other picked up one for $99. I figured insurance would cover all that for the frame. Total came out to just under $100 for the exam, prescription and frames. Didn't think anything about it until I went home and decided to check the invoice. The sales person apparently, rang up both frames for $199 each which left me to pay for the difference from the $175, which in turned made my out of pocket cost more expensive. Apparently, the sales staff get a commission on the glasses they sell. I wished I would have known that from the start. Watch out for this scam! This is the last time I'll be visiting VisionWorks.

The inside was very clean and actually had a lot of good glasses selections under well known brand names. I didn't wait long to go back for pretesting and to be seen by the doctor. Dr. Rathmann did a wonderful job explaining my prescription needs in an understandable manner. She was extremely personable and made me feel very comfortable. I felt like she went above and beyond to ensure I knew how to get my best prescription outcome. After my appt came the sales pitch. I understand that with the service will come the explanation of benefits but I felt as stern as I was on what I wanted to purchase that day, the person helping me kept pushing on additional items and "deals". If the manager had listened a bit more to me as a customer, I would have left giving this a 5 star review. Tip: One can use their Target Red Card for glasses and contact purchases to still save 5% and receive the bonus points.

I will never set foot in a Target Optical if I can afford it. Glad we figured out what kind of "doctor" Dr. Desai is upfront. Saved me a lot of time. He was great at explaining the examination results to me and discussing my options regarding astigmatism. The staff again were so accommodating to my needs in getting the contacts I needed and choosing a great Michael Kors frame. The selection they have is phenomenal, always up to date with the latest trends. I even brought along my boyfriend who got 2 pairs of glasses with antiglare coating and even a pair of polarized prescription sunglasses. We found exactly what we were looking for.

He insisted that I find him an opthalmologist and schedule an appointment. Thanks to Yelp's directory, I was able to find Dr. John Marchon in our area. When I called his office at 10a this morning, Maryann answered the phone. She is extremely pleasant and articulate. I told her about my dad. She apologized for the ophthalmologist being out of the office. Maryann assured me she would speak with him and call me back with his recommendation as soon as possible. Within an hour, I was on the phone with her with instructions from Dr. Marchon. My dad went to the ER at St. Alexius Brothers. The ER Physician was able to diagnose and treat the eye injury. My dad is home without needing to make a follow up appointment with the referring ophthalmologist. Everyone in my family and relatives all stereotypically wear glasses, have had Lasik surgery or use contacts. We're getting up there in age for risk of eye disease. St. Alexius Brothers Hospital is in close proximity to most of us. If any of us ever needs to see an ophthalmologist, Maryann is the person I'm going to say to call first.

I recently had an issue with dry eye syndrome and she recommended an alternative treatment vs getting on prescription drugs first. To my surprise the Eye treatment that was provided for me helped as well as the eye supplements she has. I was able to use my flex savings account money for them so that was a bonus for me. Like all other doctors offices, you must be proactive and ask questions. if prices are concerned then speak up or ask before hand as they won't work with you in terms of payments. She will take the time to explain and offer her suggestions. She believes in continue education and explains things to you in terms that you can understand. which means she has good bedside manners. So if you want to get cheap services and cheap eyeglasses then go to the local optical chain stores around the area. But if you want to build a relationship with your eye doctor and your eyes are very important to you, then take the time to get to know her and the staff.

That's fine but don't keep fighting me on my preference just bc it doesn't align with yours. I say that my farsightedness has worsened and she insists that my vision has not changed. Then I'm told it's bc I'm not wearing the progressives as recommended. I was told the progressives were not necessary bc my vision is borderline but that it will just help me adjust when the time comes. I'm told they only come in dailies, which I expressed are not comfortable. I can read fine without glasses or contacts so how would progressives help my farsightedness. I've expressed my vision is affecting my work and I need a reexam. I ask that someone call me but I just receive texts that show they are not listening to my issues. My family will not return. I cancelled my follow up appointment. They asked no questions as to why or how they can help.
