What type of lenses are covered? Should I get prescription sunglasses or regular eyeglasses? These are the type of questions that I asked and Patty from Illinois Eye Care Center was super helpful in helping me through the process. She was patient and helped me understand what insurance covered and my out-of-pocket expense. She even helped me pick out the right frames to go with my complexion. Stylish frames and excellent customer service are the two reasons why I will continue to go back to Illinois Eye Care Center.

I was able to get a same day appointment when I called, which was surprising but very much appreciated. I saw Dr Bartek. She was great! Very personable, listened to everything I mentioned. She also was very informative. When it came time to look at frames, the woman who helped me got many options for me to try. She gave me her honest opinion on which looked best. The staff was professional from the moment I walked in to the end of the visit. I was promptly greeted with a smile, given easy forms to sign, and seen by Dr. Roshnee Patel within ten minutes. The store is very clean, dust free, and sanitizer is readily available throughout. Dr. Patel was very warm, welcoming and so down to earth. Just from her warm smile greeting, Dr. Patel immediately made me feel comfortable. She took her time with the exam, explaining things as she went. She answered my questions and concerns with care. She eased my mind. She never rushed me through the exam. More importantly, the exam went well and I was confident that I (finally) received an accurate lens prescription. Via lens scan, she confirmed my suspicion that one of the lenses in my existing-old prescription from a different chain wasn't accurate. Her staff helped me select new frames based on what style I liked. Then, I was encouraged to browse on my own without the hovering nor upsell pressure. I found a great pair of frames in a style I hadn't considered before. There are many designer frames here: Versace, Michael Kors, etc. Later, I saw that the frames sold here are current designs and sold very close to retail price. The frames that I chose were just five dollars more than the manufacturer's website. If I could change anything, I would suggest that the thermostat be adjusted as needed. It was an unseasonally warm day, and it was very warm inside the building. Overall, this was my first time ever using Pearl Vision and Dr. Patel and her staff left a great impression. They've restored my faith in physicians and I will make this my permanent place for glasses.

The prescription was not right in both pairs of glasses, but due to the shutdown I was not able to get back to the location until they opened for business in late May. Because scheduling, it was June before they saw me again. The Dr checked my eyes and they redid both pairs. I had to pay for a better quality of lens too. I picked up the glasses in July. Well, these glasses are not any different, they do not look or feel different and do not match the prescription I have in my current frames. I did give each pair a try for a bit and again, and with life under Covid, I reached out again in September to let them know there are not working for me. The manager, who gave me the name of Linda told me that she would look into what could be done. I received a voice mail back, and each time I call, their line goes to a general voice mail box. "Linda" does not even have her own voice mail. I called 5 times and also left messages. NO CALL BACK. This is a newer location, but I would advise to stir clear. They are not customer oriented what so ever and on top of this, with insurance, I feel I was still taken advantage of.
