The old fashioned donuts are extra well prepared. Most of the time the snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookies are soft and flavorful too. Not expensive either like Jack Frost or BigMouth. I ended up choosing three - the kitchen sink, an Oreo cream, and a maple cream. All three were really good...the Oreo was my favorite. The donuts I had were packed with a lot of cream so if that's your thing (which it totally is for me) you're in luck. They…read morehad a store on Miles Ave between East 138st and East 139st, on the South East side of Cleveland. I lived on East 138st. My Mom loved their freshed baked Vienna white bread, as she would buy a loaf once or twice a week. She would also buy a dozen donuts, especially when compa y came over. I used to ride my bicycle up close to their store front window and they had a real pretty lady working their named Pauline. If i saw her there i used to wink at her, as i road by the window. (I was only 9 or 1o at the time). Every now and then she would wave me in and give me a free donut. So i have very fond memories of growing up with Becker's Donut shop right around the corner on Miles Ave, near East 138st. My favorite donuts were the cream filled ones. Yummy!

The only drawback was a common plight for strip mall restaurants- entrance that opens straight into the dining room. No foyer or vestibule means the cold January air nipped you in the face every time that front door opened. On cold days, get a table in the back. I'd like to highlight the mocktail concept, too. They did a half sheet cake, half vanilla and half chocolate so that everybody would be happy! My sister actually cried when we brought the cake out to her because it's obviously her dog in the center of the cake and she just loved it so much!
