First time stopping into The Grounded Bean. Very aesthetically pleasing decor and cozy environment to sit and enjoy your beverage. I thought the menu was pretty sparse, and would've liked to see more pastry options. We ordered a green tea lemonade and strawberry cold foam matcha. Service was friendly, but slow. The lemonade came out after a short wait but it was over 10 minutes before the matcha was served. We'll give it another try!

So far, so good. Very new coffee shop in Brunswick in the former Gyro George location. They did a nice job of cleaning and upgrading the store. I have tried their iced coffee a few times and each time: staff were friendly, the order was correct, speedily prepared, and was delicious. In the future I'll try food, but for now (summer) it's iced coffee from their handy drive up window.

I had never heard of this place, but saw the Vermonter on the window sign and had to try it. It was surprisingly slow in the store at around 9:30am, so I was able to quickly order. I guess I was so excited to eat the sandwich that I didn't even think to ask any questions or if there were other options. The person at the counter just made the sandwich and I paid and left. He wasn't rude, but he wasn't exceptionally warm either. I got in the car and took a bite and it was absolutely amazing! All the flavors mixed together made for a party in my mouth. But then I noticed that there was a flavor that didn't come through, which was the maple French toast. After having already eaten half the sandwich, I realized that the bagel was some sort of Asiago cheese derivative. Now I realize I could have gone in there and asked for the proper bagel, but I'm usually not that kind of patron. I feel that I shouldn't have to confirm that the right bagel is being used and if the normal bagel was unavailable, I should have been notified. So possibly, I should have gone in and asked for a change, but again, the person at the counter wasn't the friendliest, so I opted to just eat my sandwich and leave a 3-star review. I would go back, if I was in the area, and maybe I would upgrade the score for better service.

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Bruegger's Bagels this past Friday…read more The food has never really been the issue--eggs, sausage, bacon, cheese, bagels--simple ingredients that they usually get right. But the service at this location? Historically abysmal. Not in terms of accuracy or speed, but friendliness. For years, this store ranked at the bottom of the scale when it came to warmth and hospitality. But this visit? A complete turnaround. My wife and I were greeted with a big smile and a genuine, "Good morning! Welcome to Bruegger's." That alone set a different tone. When my wife ordered a French Toast bagel, the woman at the register apologized and let her know they were out--but that a fresh batch would be ready in about 10 minutes. With no backup in mind, my wife opted for a plain bagel instead. What happened next is what really stood out. The bagel maker, having overheard the exchange, stepped in politely and suggested the cinnamon and sugar bagel as a great substitute--"very similar to the French Toast," he said. And you know what? He was right. This is what good service looks like. It's what's missing from far too many establishments these days--a genuine interest in the customer's experience. From the warm greeting to that small but thoughtful suggestion, the staff at this Bruegger's showed they understand what hospitality means. Because let's be honest--anyone can toast a bagel or fry an egg at home. When we go out, we're paying for more than just the food--we're looking for a pleasant experience. I once heard a guy say to a grumpy diner waitress, "Sweetie, I can get surly at home." At the time, I laughed. But I've come to appreciate what he meant. We don't *have* to be here--we choose to come. We choose to spend our money and time. And that choice helps keep doors open, lights on, and people employed. So, hats off to the team at Bruegger's. This visit reminded me how much difference a little kindness and attentiveness can make.

The nurses and I ordered food from Cocky's for the second and last time. The food here is so good but I feel like I have to be there and supervise to ensure my order is correct and organized. Both orders we spent over $100 and yesterday was the last time. We ordered different items including kettle chips that were not homemade but still charged $2.50, sandwiches THAT WERE MADE WRONG, 4 orders of buffalo chicken dip and bagel chips that were ROCK HARD and thrown in ONE giant bag that needed to be split up amongst nursing. Last time we ordered Gluten free bagel chips with our Buffalo chicken dip, along with other flavors of bagel chips and those were not included. Just plain. AND WE HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR GLUTEN FREE!! Needless to say, my coworker could not have eat her food due to unknown gluten. Then after ordering $100 worth of food, NOTHING WAS LABELED with names after we specifically called and asked them to do that. I mean honestly, after spending so much money and hyping up my coworkers to get Cocky's both times, this was a horrible disappointment. No one knew whose food was whose. And when we called the first time to talk to someone, it was impossible to reach anyone. Then when we did speak to someone, they simply said "sorry". SORRY?! Do you know how much door dash is? I expect to get cold food when receiving it on someone else's time, but completely wrong food?? Food made incorrectly, that someone has an allergy to... and you say SORRY? No, we want a refund. Half of us spent money and didn't get to eat. The customer service sucks and I work at multiple hospitals, so I will be sure to let them all know that Cockys does not care about their customers.

I'm from LA, so I'm spoiled when it comes to great food -- and we've got some seriously good bagels here -- but Nubeigel hits differently. The dough, the texture, the perfect balance of softness and chew, the spreads/shmears... everything was top tier. And then there's the staff. Everyone was welcoming, passionate, and genuinely seemed to love what they do and the people they serve. That kind of energy makes a place even more special. Absolutely recommend this spot. My only wish is that they'd open a location near me someday.

You'll find interesting bagel flavors here (such as egg, cinnamon cranberry, and onion) and merch (tees, hoodies, Mish Mosh seasoning, greeting cards, and stickers). My order: - Asiago Bagel - Toasted with Smokie Salmon Schmear ($5) - Bagel was over toasted, dry, and too salty. Schmear was more like lightly whipped cream cheese, not flavorful. Barely there salmon is the best way to describe it. - Cinnamon Cranberry Bagel with Brown Sugar Cinnamon Schmear ($5) - Bagel tasted like plain bagel. Schmear very light on flavor. - Mish Mosh Bagel ($2) - Plain, not toasted. It's their version of everything bagel. I ordered this bagel because I overheard it being a popular choice while waiting for my order. It's way too salty, and I love salt. It didn't taste freshly made this morning and tasted not fully made inside. - Coffee ($2.50 for 2 small coffees): Flavorless and barely warm coffee. The menu is pretty well outlined on multiple signs at checkout. It clearly indicates up charges and premium topics. If you purchase bagels dozen, you'll get one bagel for free. Other options are sammies, bialy wheels, and bialy sticks. Most customers ordered baker dozen during my visit. Service: Service was alright. I felt a lot of pressure to order (especially as the first timer). Other guests were pretty rushed too. Checkout did not make much sense too. If you order a dozen bagels, they'll take your order in line. If you order a single bagel with schmear or sandwiches, you must go to the checkout counter and repeat your entire order. Service was quick, my order was up quickly and all customers were addressed in a timely manner. Parking: Parking lots are available in the front and the back of the store. The bagel shop is in a little strip mall area. If you're looking for a wallet-friendly bagel, this is the place to be. If you're looking for bold flavors or more standard bagel experience, it's probably best to venture out. I unfortunately personally didn't enjoy any part of my meal but appreciated the low prices.
