Santos called before arriving to advise that he was on his way. When he arrived, he was all smiles and helpful from start to finish, and patient with all my questions. Santos was quick and efficient and thorough. I was returning home from Apple Valley late last night and…read moreone of their tow trucks caught up to the vehicle behind me, tailgated him, then when that vehicle left the area, he caught up to me, began tailgating me, then when we appraoched the intersection of Sheep Creek Rd and El Mirage Rd, he suddenly decides to pass me ( who passes in an intersection?? ); and speeds off. I try to catch him to see what he speed was, and he was doing mph. The speed limit on El Mirage Rd is 60. As he approached the t-intersection that takes you back to Lake LA or the Gray Butte facility, this driver flat out runs the stop sign, barely slown down enough to make the turn. Friggin ridiculous! Fortunately my phone was fully charged so I commenced calling nearby tow companies. Amazing how many didn't sound very interested in the job! "Is this an AAA Call? No? Oh..." "We can get there in 2 to 3 hours..." "That'll cost $390." Then I called Toro's and spoke directly with the owner-operator! He knew exactly where I was stuck and how to get there quickly, and was familiar with the shop I wanted to get towed to. Around 20 minutes later, he was on scene, deftly backing his wheel lifts up to my truck to get it hooked up quickly and efficiently. Soon he was unloading me at the destination shop. Had an impound and was being charged…read more$535.50 for 1.5 hours of work and was told it was towed 22 miles from LOC-1605 W ROSAMOND BLVD ROSAMOND, CA 93560 to DEST- R&J TOWING LANCASTER YARD 42302 8TH ST E LANCASTER, CA...................................when our Goldstar GPS told us that it was a day later than they claimed (they charge $78 a day) and in fact it DID NOT get towed 22 miles. It got towed 1.5 miles to DEST-R&J TOWING ROSAMOND, CA 1733 SIERRA HWY ROSAMOND, CA 93560.........................1.5 miles for $535.50 was not changed. Got the supervisor who started yelling at me about a condition report (reports i do everyday and do NOT take an hour an a half) I attempted to be reasonable. They would not. They have your car and will not release or give up that vehicle until you pay for cost that they cannot and will not explain. Again if you value you wallet and money AVOID THIS PLACE at all cost. I've included the bills and highlighted area. They may have made a couple of bucks off this one. That is well worth the review for us..............hopefully it helps someone in the future make a decision. (still dont have that "condition report"......hard to do without a key that we have in Florida....) I found this website palmdale-towing.com and saw that they have flat rates of $90 (includes first 7 miles) so i decided to contact the number listed 6614413279 and I reached a worker or owner Damian Carmona. I told him I wanted to pay for my mother's tow home and that she's stuck at a gas station in Palmdale, he priced me at $160 because she was going to Lancaster I guess and asked if I could Zelle the funds for the job. I sent the Zelle payment right away not paying attention to it being scheduled for the next day but sent him a screenshot of the payment and confirmation number from BofA via text. He responded and told me that he can't do the job because he needs a payment to post immediately, Zelle wasn't allowing me to post an immediate payment because of the time it was at night around 9:30ish so I asked him will he accept cashapp payment and when my Zelle payment post to him the next day to return the funds back to me being that I'm paying him on Cashapp to cover cost and he agreed and assured me that he will send me my $160 Zelle payment back. He completed the job for my mother which was my main concern and he seemed kind and professional at the time but the next day after and when my Zelle payment posted and I requested my money back from the double pay, he begin to stall and give me a bunch of excuses (all day) saying that he will send it and that it should show up in my account soon without bothering to send any confirmation of it when it literally only takes a couple minutes to send a Zelle payment. I even sent him a "request to pay" which he could easily respond to but he ignored that. I am still yet to receive my money back from him double charging me and it is now going on the second day. They are now ignoring my calls and messages regarding my return Zelle payment.
