Daily structured activities, along with pictures of child sent a few times a day engaged in the activity. We liked those aspects a lot. We didn't like the chaotic staffing, inconsistent communication (after-the-fact informing), or our child being sick, often: two hospitalizations due to contracting double viruses that led to agitating respiratory distress. We get that germs happen in daycares. We were disappointed that children with obvious green mucus dripping/hanging from their noses were allowed to attend in that condition. Even having a "sick room" and removing those cases would have been prudent and thoughtful. Parents were allowed to fully enter the rooms with shoes on in this brand new facility. It seems that right protocols could have kept it clean, in more than one way. The straw for us, besides our child constantly keeping a cold, was the need for staff to double up from other rooms "until" the scheduled later arriving staff showed up. We checked the place out a week after it opened. It was calm, appeared appropriate and still had some empty rooms. A few weeks later was another story. Chaos. It was hard to understand why they built a facility with that amount of potential without planning properly for staffing...in advance. There should have been staff standing around the first week waiting for children instead of 3-4 weeks into opening, children standing around waiting for staff. That's too bad. Maybe it has turned around since that time (3 months ago). We hope so.

We'd visited a couple of schools before in the last few months, and by far this was this was the right choice for him. Upon arrival, Master Young is very clear on the goals they teach and expect for children. What I really love and appreciate is the communication from him and Mrs. Michelle Young. We thought perhaps 4 years old was too young for Karate. But I have observed how patient and sweet they are with all the little ones during class session. While he's only been there for about a month, he is super excited about learning, and attending class 3 times a week. This routine has proven very good for him as well and he enjoys it tremendously. Glad to have our son be a part of an outstanding school that implements discipline, focus and respect, while providing fun physical activity for young ones. They have activities at the park, they celebrate each & every holiday. They do Halloween sparring tournaments & allow the kids to wear their favorite costumes, they shut down their parking lot & create a truck or treat, with hunted dojo suitable for every age group. (None scary, little scary & a lot scary). They do Easter egg hunt, meet Santa etc. They do ninja night, with food, drinks, fun activities & movies for the kids. They offer summer camp. I would definitely recommend this place. My son has learned great skills on how to walk away from a situation instead of throwing the first punch & how to speak up, yell for help & to defend himself. They work hard to reach out kids self defense & also have fun.

My son has been coming here for over a year taking Karate with Sensei Rey. He loves it. My son…read moreprefers Sensei Rey (not that there's anything wrong with the other Senseis, you know how kids are when they are attached to a specific person) so he was bummed when his schedule changed and instead of having class twice a week he only has it once a week now. My son has competed in one tournament and is prepping to compete in another. Now, only if he can get a belt test done that would be awesome. Other than that Sensei Rey really takes the time to make sure his students (of all ages too) get their techniques correct & it shows in the tournaments. My son brought home a gold medal for Kata & a silver medal for Kumite. Oh! One more thing, the space can get tight when everyone is in class. Maybe expanding or separating the sitting area? There's a room with a glass windowed room right behind where the parents sit, maybe... it could just be a sitting room for the parents during this time frame? I'm really not sure what is in that room though. Also, that way the kids that run around during class can be contained in a separate room so as not to bother the karate class in session but can still see the karate class through the window? Just a suggestion. Gina the owner is very accommodating & was kind enough to understand our situation in December so we were able to alter our contract a bit before signing. As a family we were hesitant to put him into childcare for the first time as he was only with family. At that time in 2021, the program was reopening from the COVID-19 closures, and it was a small flourishing community. The teachers and staff were all so kind and we felt comfort in sending our child to Kantor Early Childhood Education Center. Fast forward to 2025, my child is now 5, getting ready to graduate from the Pre-K classroom. He loves school and his teacher Ms. Aria (shoutout to her, seriously one of a kind!!) My youngest is 20 months and he is exceeding my expectations on his early development. His teacher speaks Spanish to him daily and he is now speaking some Spanish at home. Thank you Ms. Diana! It has been a beautiful experience to see this school go through so many transformations. The program offers half and full day options, early drop off before school and afternoon care to help accommodate working families. It also includes Spanish and Hebrew embedded into the daily classroom curriculum. As well as daily live music and movement, Judaics and play-based learning. The campus is a closed-secured campus with a security guard. Staff and security know all of the families that arrive and you can feel safe leaving your precious one here. The director Farrah Tomaro has been amazing, responsive and is always open to parental feedback. Farrah and her staff truly understand the importance of early brain development and meeting children where they are developmentally. There are many options for childcare in Henderson, but nothing compares to Kantor Early Childhood Education Center! This program has so much to offer. You will not be disappointed.

Another time I had specifically said that we would be doing reading on single hour days and it was somehow forgotten and they did math instead , which is not why I started tutoring to begin with. It is too soon to tell if there will be an improvement in reading. I do appreciate that everyone is very kind and helpful. It's a mixed bag right now, but I think I would be less critical if it wasn't so expensive. I will definitely update this review once I can assess progress.

I spoke with Margot, the Director, regarding my son's learning differences and she was very understanding and accommodating. After my son came in for an assessment she recommended two tutors that would work best with my son, Amy and Ms Jessie. My son loved them. But, what impressed me the most was the fact that Margot recommended other tutoring facilities, and specialized learning programs, for my son just in case he needed a more comprehensive learning program. Her gesture made me feel that my son's educational well being meant more to her than just profit for the company. For the 5 weeks that my son attended Tutoring Club, he loved it. In the end though, I did end up enrolling him in a special needs program for kids with learning disabilities. But, if my son ever needs tutoring again, when he's older, I will definitely have him go back to the wonderful staff at Tutoring Club.
