Changing schools to PCI from public (supposedly a good one) was the best decision. We've now been here 3 years and have nothing but praise. My kids are thriving with the different opportunities they are given. Yes, they're academically focused but not in a negative way as some reviews stated. The admin, teachers, and school staff have all been great. It feels like a small school and it's in a quiet area. This school is absolutely amazing. My daughter in kindergarten was able to read some sight words at the beginning of the year but now is reading chapter books! She has grown tremendously as a writer and has gone way beyond my expectation in math: doing first grade math half way through the year. It took a bit of time to get adjusted to doing most homework online, but honestly, in today's world, the sooner the kids understand computers the better. If you are thinking of putting your child in Pinecrest Academy Inspirada, I recommend you read this review and don't do it! Instead, get away from this school! In this school they only want to admit children with a performance above average or outstanding, just by appearing in the first position of the classification in the state. They cannot understand that every child does not perform at the same level. Learning is a process; Some children perform better in some areas than in others. Their right job as educators is to work with those children who have some areas of difficulty. That is the true challenge of any educator: dealing with children with some areas of knowledge that need special training. If they are not able to do that, then what is their role ?, only facilitate the learning of those outstanding children? And the rest? These children don't need an educator. Does their job just consist of that? The challenge of a school is to teach not to demand that children come to school with all knowledge learned, instead teach then to the children. The easy job is to accept only children with performance above average. They annoy children applying them assessments while on vacation, exposing them to additional stress, just to refine their admissions. The staff, even in an educated way, is very closed and, in any way do not understands any kind of explanation coming from the parents, who in the end are the people who best know their children and must do what they don't do: instruct and Teach the children. They do not trust the assessments that children bring from state public schools and even doubt these. Apparently, this is a common practice in all Pinecrest schools because a family member in Florida had a similar experience, it seems this behavior is nationwide, only outstanding children are admitted and others are sent to repeat levels or do not admit them. It happens with my grandson, however, during these days I have heard several comments as the experience I faced. Not everything is as it seems, fortunately I realized the deficiencies in the pedagogical teaching process of that school to make the decision to get my children out of it. Please be aware of that to avoid disappointment in the future, but and most important to avoid negative experience in the learning process of your children. read more

I have three boys at Pinecrest and love it! It was a very hard decision for me to come to Pinecrest since we are zoned for Wallin. I have to say, I have never looked back! My kids are so happy and enjoying their elementary years! I love the hands on learning, with the PBL's (project based learning). I feel the education my kids are receiving at Pinecrest is preparing them for the real world with their STEAM curriculum. Pinecrest feels like a small town, private school where my kids have a name, and aren't just a test score. Overall I am extremely happy to have my boys in Pinecrest. Two thumbs up from me! read more

My Daughter had always loved school until 4th grade when we were rezoned for a supposed high ranking school. She had the worst year and ended up deciding she hated school, my younger daughter also had a hard time adjusting as well. So when it came time for my son to start Kindergarten I knew we had to make a change. We started Pinecrest Inspirada in 2018 and it has been the best experience for my children. My 5th grader decided to give band a try and it was the best decision she's made. She began to look forward to going to school again. Dr. Maguire has an impressive way with kids that reaches even the most challenging personalities (my daughter being one of them) Ms. Rose and Ms. Egbert also did an excellent job with her this year. We can't say enough about PCA-Inspirada! So many parents were reluctant to move from Wallin (another excellent school!), us included! I have to say, our expectations have been surpassed at EVERY corner! The extracurricular activities offered have such a wide range (chess, computer coding, sports, etc.). Our kids are really happy with their teachers, as are we! We are all looking forward to what next year brings, considering there are constant and continuous improvements and fine tuning being done by the amazing staff! My kids have also really benefited from the STEAM based ciriculum and Project Based Learning, I can tell by their wide range of questions that they are really absorbing what they've learned! read more

My son started Kindergarten last year at Pinecrest Academy - Inspirada Campus, with Mrs. Turner as his teacher. So far we've had a wonderful experience! I am thrilled with all the educational options being directed at my son. I'm very impressed with the curriculum, as well as how technology is used in its advancement. I love the idea of study island, and both my son and I love ST Math (AKA JIJI Math). Pinecrest Inspirada Academy is innovative school that offer classes and electives such as Think Law and Robotics. This is my children's second year in attendance and the love it! The current administration has even enhanced the participation and communication with parents. PInecrest Academy Inspirada has been a great experience and keeps us well informed. We receive routine emails, flyers in backpacks and Facebook posts. The staff and administrators are very accommodating and personable with students and parents. They knew our names within the first two months which is impressive for a new school having over 600 kids. They also allowed our twin boys to be in the same class and excused us for a week long tour of Canada (with prior notice). We are exceptionally impressed with their first grade teacher, Ms. Czarnecki. Our boys enjoy her class with the wagon wheel reading area and elaborate seasonal decorations while we (the parents) appreciate her weekly communications. She works tirelessly to provide a fun and challenging curriculum for all children. They are able to progress at their own pace through ST Math, study island and power readers (AR reader/renaissance home connect). Occasionally they work with their classmates on special group projects like the space one. read more

Pinecrest welcomed her with open arms and it was the best decision we ever made!
