Everyone is very nice however this is oh so very expensive for things not to be perfect. Today I lost seven minutes of tutoring because I was talking to the person about scheduling who also happened to be the person who would be doing the tutoring. Another time I had specifically said that we would be doing reading on single hour days and it was somehow forgotten and they did math instead , which is not why I started tutoring to begin with. It is too soon to tell if there will be an improvement in reading. I do appreciate that everyone is very kind and helpful. It's a mixed bag right now, but I think I would be less critical if it wasn't so expensive. I will definitely update this review once I can assess progress. read more

I just moved to Henderson from CA and was looking for summer tutoring for my 8 year old son with Dyslexia. I drove by Tutoring Club on Eastern and thought I'd give them a call. I spoke with Margot, the Director, regarding my son's learning differences and she was very understanding and accommodating. After my son came in for an assessment she recommended two tutors that would work best with my son, Amy and Ms Jessie. My son loved them. But, what impressed me the most was the fact that Margot recommended other tutoring facilities, and specialized learning programs, for my son just in case he needed a more comprehensive learning program. Her gesture made me feel that my son's educational well being meant more to her than just profit for the company. For the 5 weeks that my son attended Tutoring Club, he loved it. In the end though, I did end up enrolling him in a special needs program for kids with learning disabilities. But, if my son ever needs tutoring again, when he's older, I will definitely have him go back to the wonderful staff at Tutoring Club. read more

I brought my two children here beginning in 2020 during Covid, as I was concerned they were falling behind. They performed assessments on each child and came up with a "magic number" of hours the kids would need to come up to the standard for their school grade level. I was so desperate and concerned that I agreed and paid $8000 for two kids upfront. In our initial meeting with the owner, I was told they would be performing reassessments on each kid and would set up a meeting with us to review their progress- this NEVER happened. Neither of my kids enjoyed going, they complained and dreaded having to go. They both told me it was not helping, but because we had paid upfront I was pretty much stuck having to keep sending them because the refund was only about half of what you paid. The kids told me often times the last 20 minutes or so of each day, the instructors would just have them pull out their homework and work on it independently- which is NOT what I paid for. They worked through predetermined worksheets and the tutoring was not individualized to the specific school material. My daughter said they just gave them worksheets to complete and they weren't provided any strategies. It felt very much like a bait and switch. I am very disappointed we were never kept up to date on the progress our kids were making. This program may work for some kids, but it definitely felt like a HUGE waste of A LOT of money for our family. We stopped attending with around 10 or so hours left in the bank, and sadly no one ever reached out and we were never offered a reassessment of any kind. read more

Our daughter has excelled through online International home schooling along with the Tutoring club. She has been in private school since Pre-K through the 4th grade. Her last year in private school she struggled tremendously her grades took a dive. We had her tested to see where she actually was at TWO different locations, one being the Tutoring Club. When we received the results we were quite surprised and not in a good way. We signed her up in the Spring of 2019 through the summer to get her back up to where she needed to be. Private OLS has been the best thing while incorporating the Tutoring Club, she has thrived as a student. She took her Fall STAR and scored 9th grade for reading/comprehension and Math 6th grade level. This Spring she took the Star test and scored 11th grade reading and Math at the 8th grade level. Everyone at the Tutoring Club is extremely committed to the children and works with them on their specific needs. We will continue her education through Private OLS with with the Tutoring Club as well. read more

For the first bit we had our son in math and reading and then switched just to reading since that was the main area he was really struggling in school. This was our first experience at tutoring, so we really didn't know what to compare it to. I have since sent my child to Sylvan. Tutoring club did not provide enough of an extensive one-on-one type of tutoring that my child needed. They gave my child alot of worksheets and homework. Unfortunately, we already have hours of our own homework for school we have to do. Thus, it is really frustrating to pay to have someone give my child more homework. read more

Hi The message sent that was posted about my granddaughter only received worksheets and no one on one is not true! I signed her up and took her 90% of the time to tutoring. As mom stated her first getting professional and did not fully understand the process. My granddaughter was about to fail and they helped her even do her homework for no additional cost! Always only 2 or 3 students per table and Lisa gave extra services for homework. That was one on one. They work with you in all ways. The cost is lower and service Great.
