What an excellent staff and program!! I wish I knew about this and knew enough to send my other three kids. Mathnasium makes math fun and my girl has learned a lot. It's so much fun a leverage point or threatened punishment is that she won't get to go to Mathnasium - I never considered learning math as having that type of power. Isabella's grades have gone up and she has otherwise greatly benefited. Mathnasium teaches the proper basics and advanced techniques. They started her where she needed to start according to math based testing. She learned everything needed to get up to the level she needed to start at, and since then it's moved forward at a very satisfactory pace. They do let you bring in school homework/learning and get to it 99% of the time which is great. They are there to teach math however, not as a substitute for a child doing their own work - which is no longer an issue because they have STRONG math skills from learning workouts and practice in the Mathnasium. This place gave our daughter the most confidence she needed in math..by far. I'm going to keep it short and sweet; my daughter HATED MATH, came here, re-learned math and became confident in math and left here wanting to return...every session! She is in the top of her class now! Any reviews you may read negatively are unfortunate, but personally we received the utmost respect, responsibility, and feedback from all involved at Mathnasium. Our experience has been nothing short of amazing!!! My son felt like math was not for him. Mathnasium has restored his confidence in math and his grades have started to improve. My daughter struggled in math during 5th grade. A friend had recommended Mathnasium and after talking to Nick, we signed her up. I made sure that she went 3-4 times a week. It was my number 1 priority that she went there. She now excel in Math. She was picked student of the week (Coronado HS) in her math class for two years in a row. This year, she was picked during 3rd or 4th week into the school year. When my son showed weakness in math, it was a no brainer. I signed him up as well. No more stress for me seeing my kids struggle in math. No more fighting every night about homework. My kids are now getting A's in math. My son's improvement is tremendous. He's always been the shy kid, hardly participates in class. Now, he would raise his hand in class as no one else know the answer to the teacher's question. I've never seen that confidence before. These days, it only takes them to 15-25 mins to study for tests and manages to get great grades. Both of them are now in math accelerated classes. Our youngest daughter (5th grader now) who's doing good in math wanted to go to Mathnasium too. We know she doesn't need it but why stop them from getting better. So we signed her up as well. She scored 2628 out of 2659 on her math SBAC test last spring. That's almost a perfect score! Thanks to Mathnasium! Nick, Liza and the rest of the instructors/staff are very friendly and accommodating. They make math fun. My kids love going there. We've been going there for years and plan on keeping the kids there. It's a big investment having 2-3 kids in Mathnasium but it's worth every penny. I was struggling with Calculus as a high school senior and decided to go to Mathnasium for that reason. And let me tell you, the tutors here helped out a lot. I understood the concepts, and brought my grade up. Along with game hour, something I had not anticipated for a math tutoring place. Every Saturday from 2-3 we just play any board game of our choosing, my favorite is chess. The people there give it so much more life too, than just a bland tutoring place. My son was one of the first students when this place opened. We had just moved to Henderson and my son was struggling with Math. We home schooled for a year and sent our son to Mathnasium for his Math lessons. Not only did our son learn, but he enjoyed going to Mathnasium. Nick is awesome! He really knows the kids and he brings in some really good instructors to teach. When we put my son back in elementary school his Math teacher told us he was at the top of his grade for Math. Over the years we got busy with other things and pulled our son out of Mathnasium. Fast forward to his sophomore year in high school (and HS Geometry) and we saw some struggles again. We went back to Mathnasium and our son started excelling once again. My son drops in a couple of times per week and that's all it takes. He just made a 100% on his most recent Geometry quiz and he told me that he was able to do this because of Mathnasium. In short, I highly recommend Nick and his instructors for Math lessons/tutoring. I don't have the words to express the gratitude for the help they have provided, not only in Math, but in my sons confidence. read more

My son is hyperactive and it can be difficult to keep him on task. The instructor Michael actually gets through to him and helps him stay focused while enjoying math. It is such a blessing that we have found instructors like michael at mathnasium. We love Mathnasium! My gifted 4th grader was bord and unchallenged in school. He loves coming here. I especially enjoy the "drop in" model where we can come at times that are good for us without being tied down to a class or lesson schedule. The learning plans are so specific and I get regular updates as to what my boy is working on and how far he has come in his math skills. He loves the positive reinforcement of earning rewards as he works. I recommend this place to everyone I meet with kids either needing help catching up or staying ahead with math. read more

My son has experienced dramatic improvements in his math scores. It is like day and night compared to how it used to be. Math homework used to be a nightly struggle, because I was unable to explain the concepts in a way he understood. That changed the instance he started going to Mathnasium. My son has attended a minimum of 3 nights per week since the 2016-2017 school year started. In that time, he has complained about having to go exactly zero times. Great place for math tutoring. My daughter has been attending Mathnasium for over a year now and has really grasped key concepts in elementary math. She really loves coming here. The tutors are great. Everyone is super nice and friendly. The site director/owner, Nick, is very knowledgeable and a great resource person to discuss your child's math needs. I highly recommend Mathnasium if your child needs help in math or even if he/she wants to get ahead in math. The facility is nice and clean. It has a table for each tutor and open seating for the kids. Smith's, Starbucks, Chase Bank and several places to eat are in the same plaza-so you can do errands or relax while your child is in tutoring. read more

My son is in 8th grade and taking high school-level Algebra 1. Although he's always enjoyed math, this class is so much harder than anything he's taken before. At a friend's suggestion, we decided to look into tutoring and I am so glad we did. It's still a very challenging class for him, but it's great to know that if he doesn't understand something in class, the tutors can help him work through it until he does. He has received a 91% and a 92% on his last two quizzes, and both times he came in the day before to review with the tutors and I think that made a huge difference. I should also mention that Nick Mele, the owner and director of the center, is very approachable and kind. He taught all levels of math at Green Valley High School for more than 20 years, and it shows. He also has a great team of tutors that my son has enjoyed working with - in fact, the whole staff is super friendly. Although tutoring is expensive, I absolutely believe it's been worth it for my son, especially now that we'll be ramping up for high school soon, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mathnasium to anyone that's looking for tutoring help. read more
