Plus since they're only in first grade, it's just what we do as part of the elementary school process. My husband grew up on the in New Jersey school systems, and Miss G's 's approach reminds him very much of the discipline and curriculum he's accustomed to. Well, most days it's like pulling teeth for my kids, They get it done, and the progress has definitely shown. Both of them are pretty advanced for their math levels only several months into the school year. They are also definitely quicker than I am at adding and subtracting. Both of their teachers have also said that they'll definitely be well into multiplication before the school year is over. I definitely recommend the iPad approach personally- For our lifestyle which is constantly on the go and often on vacations. It's a good way of having them remain responsible and accountable to their work. Looking forward to seeing how this strong foundation reflects in the future.

If you're looking for a great tutoring center in the north part of town, I highly recommend…read moreTutoring Club of North Las Vegas! Background: When covid happened, we pulled our daughter, Mackenzie, out of preschool that spring and she stayed out of the school environment through the summer. She started kindergarten virtually, but unfortunately, she was one that did not build a good enough foundation to help her succeed in her schoolwork, even after they went back in person. Fall 2022: Fast forward to this school year, and we're at parent teacher conferences reviewing her MAP scores. She was essentially reading at a kindergarten level, and performing at a 1st-ish grade level in math. So, we needed to do something to help her catch up. We researched several places local centers and also considered private tutoring from teacher friends. We decided on The Tutoring Club for several reasons: 1) We liked the director, Jessica, who had the same ideology of how we learned "back when we were in school" and how their curriculum supported it. 2) We liked the flexibility to help Mackenzie with her school work, in addition to the curriculum they had her do. 3) We liked that it's a brick and mortar. We can always count on them being there, and they are also reasonable with absences - if we had to miss a day here and there because of our other extracurricular activities. Mackenzie started attending tutoring in mid-October and went for 2 hour sessions, 3 days a week. She loved it! The tutors incentivized the work so that she had a goal. They made it fun for her, and it motivated her to want to learn to read. The tutors are friendly and they made the experience enjoyable for her. Spring 2023: It's now May, and we received Mackenzie's final MAP scores of the year. Her test scores substantially grew over the entire school year, and she is now above grade level for both subjects! I would attribute her success completely to the work that the Tutoring Club has done with her, as we never changed anything in our home life. We are so grateful for the help that the Tutoring Club provided, and again, we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great tutoring center in North Las Vegas!

We payed nearly $6,000 for the year and three weeks before final exams they cut us off saying "the school year is only eight months." My son has been attending Mathnasium in Centennial for over 5 years. When we first started it was…read moreamazing. It was structured, kids weren't allowed to run around and be distracting to other kids. For the last few years we have taken the summer months off, never been a problem until this year. I spoke to the center director at the time. He said it wouldn't be a problem and when we come back in September things would be the same. Well we went back September first and after his 3rd time attending he calls and says I need to go in to talk to them. So I went in and for 15 minutes I watched a child run around, eating candy, distracting other kids. The instructors were all eating pizza and not really paying attention to the kids at their groups. The kid had asked the instructor if he could have pizza, he was told no its for them only. OK but why eat it infront of the kids...I am very disappointed in the way this center is ran now. I was told if my child wants to continue there it might cost more because the previous person disenrolled him. I was told I would receive a call by Thursday, its now Monday and still have not heard from anyone. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise, save money on a place that was more like a frat house than a learning center.

My middle school-age daughter really enjoyed going, and we loved the small class sizes. She went her entire 6th-grade year with no issues. I was the President of the PTO and spent hours of my own time and hundreds of dollars to support the school. This year, she had a few minor issues related to her autism and tic disorder come up that were completely blown out of proportion, and within a month she ended up being kicked out. She was not a bully and not violent. They did very little to work with her, and when we requested supports and accommodations they were refused. We have a pending discrimination case open with the state of Nevada and will be filing a complaint with the Nevada Department of Education. We are devastated with how this was handled.
