Clark County School District, and Greenspun specifically, handles student behavior very poorly. My son has witnessed more fights at this school in one year than he ever did in California. Bullying is a serious issue here, and the way staff, teachers, and administration respond to it is unacceptable. For example, an 8th grade student poured orange juice over my son's head. My son did exactly what he was taught, he reported it to staff instead of reacting. After speaking directly with the principal, Ms. Hermes, it sounded like this 8th grade student would face little to no consequences. However, it was made very clear that if my son had defended himself, he would be the one in trouble. This teaches kids to accept being mistreated while punishing them for standing up for themselves, which does not prepare them for the real world. This same pattern shows up in the classroom. My son recently got in trouble with Ms. Walsh, his math teacher, for raising his voice. My son admitted to me that he did raise his voice, and I appreciate his honesty. He explained that during free time another student was repeatedly giving him a hard time and even threw a backpack, yet that student was not disciplined. Ms. Walsh did not put a stop to the behavior immediately, allowing the situation to escalate. While my son should not have raised his voice, it is easy to understand his frustration when disruptive behavior is ignored and the child reacting is the only one punished. Students are either ignored when they report issues or immediately punished without any real accountability. Teachers frequently raise their voices when it isn't necessary, instead of stopping bad behavior the first time it happens. It feels more like a power struggle than effective classroom management. Academically, things are not much better. My son has struggled with his grades, and after meeting with all of his teachers, one teacher, Mr. Hoffman made the comment, "The dad's job is to work and the son's job is to do his own work." That statement alone showed a complete lack of support, accountability, or willingness to help a struggling student. I also personally sat in on one of Mr. Hoffman's classes. Before the classroom doors even opened, while waiting outside in the hallway, I overheard multiple students using the N word. This is especially concerning given that over 80% of the student population is Caucasian. There was no staff present to intervene out there , and it was clear this type of language is tolerated. From my own observation, Mr. Hoffman does the bare minimum, assigns work, sits at his desk, and provides little guidance or engagement. I witnessed this firsthand. Some classes don't even have assigned seating, which only adds to distractions and behavior problems. Most work is done on computers, yet there is no typing or basic computer skills class, setting students up to struggle even more. Overall, this school lacks structure, accountability, student support, and effective leadership. Bullying, racial language, and disruptive behavior are not addressed consistently, and administration, under the leadership of Ms. Hermes fails to protect students who follow the rules and report issues appropriately. I would not recommend Greenspun Middle School to any parent who cares about their child's safety, education, or emotional well being.

We adopted my niece when she was 18 months old, and she attended this daycare until she was about 2 1/2 years old. We also enrolled our infant daughter here when she was around 3 months old. Ultimately, we decided to stop bringing our children because our daughter was constantly sick. The breaking point came when she became so ill that she had to be hospitalized. One of the biggest concerns I had with this daycare is that children of different ages are kept together throughout the day. In my experience, this creates an environment where illnesses spread easily. Since switching to another daycare, our children are no longer getting sick nearly as often. I also found the enrollment process confusing. We were handed a packet and asked to sign paperwork without much explanation, leaving me unsure about policies and expectations. In contrast, our current daycare thoroughly explains everything before enrollment, so parents know exactly what they are agreeing to. Another concern was infant safety. Babies were often placed on the floor while older children ran and played nearby. This creates a risk of injury and is something that made me uncomfortable as a parent. Overall, I was disappointed with the level of care and organization we experienced. As parents, we want our children to be in an environment where they are safe, healthy, and receiving attentive care. I am grateful we found a daycare that better meets those expectations. This was our experience, and based on that experience, I would not recommend this daycare. I however highly recommend The Learning Experience.

I won't go into the details but the owner of this place is an extremely unprofessional and an unpleasant person. Three of my clients and my coworker have had negative experiences here. Some ending in withdrawing also. The owner is disrespectful and aggressive with the parents. She has lots of personal issues that she involves her employees in. The girls that worked there were very nice, but I could see there was tension and strict inconsistent verbal abuse from the owner. If she is the owner, then her actions and attitude are a representation of the integrity of her establishment. I withdrew my child properly and waited the two weeks. But I would not go back. Although, my toddler loved her teachers there. They do not provide lunch for the kids and charge more than most daycares around. We have been at a daycare close to this one for two years now and we are so very happy. They are like family.

I called in the middle of April to see if there were openings so I could let the principal know whether or not I was available to work. They told me there were several openings however I was required to tour the facility no more than thirty days prior to her attending. Ok, even thirty days before was annoying bc my work needed an answer but whatever. So I showed up May 3, (a little less than thirty days) for my tour. The lady at the front said she tried to call me to let me know the owner decided she would no longer hold spots for people regardless of paying registration fee. Ummm what?! How is anyone supposed to start a job if they don't have daycare lined up??? The front desk lady said I can call a day or two before I have to start working to see if there's a spot or not. That is absolutely horrible to put a working parent in that kind of position. But the front desk lady let me know the owner didn't want to save my spot for thirty days because she didn't want to loose out on money if another child wanted to attend this month while she saved my spot. Ok whatever since money is so important and not customer service I'll look elsewhere. I've never heard of a daycare not holding ur spot with a paid registration fee. Even when I was pregnant we put the registration fee down at a different daycare facility months before even having the baby so she was guaranteed a spot so I could work. Response to owner: 1. I know you're very concerned about the daycare my child was in so just to inform you, they were full in July but did pre-register her for August (that means they're holding her spot from May-August)! 2. I wasn't told I could call weeks before to see if there were spots, the lady said a few days before. Besides, with your horrible policy who cares if I called "weeks" before clearly you wouldn't reserve a spot and all spots could've been gone the next day regardless according to you. 3. Shouldn't have wasted my time to even look at your school if it was already full-- hence me calling prior to tour. Maybe you will have less "teachers kids" in the summer due to summer break and you could've made a profit off of my child attending. Oh well overall it's best my child doesn't go there, it's clearly just a business.

At that time in 2021, the program was reopening from the COVID-19 closures, and it was a small flourishing community. The teachers and staff were all so kind and we felt comfort in sending our child to Kantor Early Childhood Education Center. Fast forward to 2025, my child is now 5, getting ready to graduate from the Pre-K classroom. He loves school and his teacher Ms. Aria (shoutout to her, seriously one of a kind!!) My youngest is 20 months and he is exceeding my expectations on his early development. His teacher speaks Spanish to him daily and he is now speaking some Spanish at home. Thank you Ms. Diana! It has been a beautiful experience to see this school go through so many transformations. The program offers half and full day options, early drop off before school and afternoon care to help accommodate working families. It also includes Spanish and Hebrew embedded into the daily classroom curriculum. As well as daily live music and movement, Judaics and play-based learning. The campus is a closed-secured campus with a security guard. Staff and security know all of the families that arrive and you can feel safe leaving your precious one here. The director Farrah Tomaro has been amazing, responsive and is always open to parental feedback. Farrah and her staff truly understand the importance of early brain development and meeting children where they are developmentally. The curriculum is well rounded and every week has a letter theme. My kids learned letters, numbers, days of the week, weather, etc but also learned classroom skills necessary for kindergarten. They learned how to sit quietly during circle, stand in line, how to write their name and so many more things. The kids get to play and do crafts as they learn. They also do super fun activities like a petting zoo and cute little field trips. And the Christmas program is so stinking cute!! I am immensely happy that we found NVSI for our son. He is a wonderful child, but has a few…read morechallenges when presented with the standard learning curriculum and environment found in most of the large, public junior high schools available in Las Vegas. Christina and Eric are fantastic educators and wonderful people. I definitely feel that my son would have fallen through the cracks in a standard institution, but at NVSI he has been nurtured, supported and developed beyond my wildest hopes. The hands on approach and unique learning structure offered really seems to have had a positive and lasting impact on my son. He has never wanted to go to school as avidly as he has since enrolling at NVSI. The change in attitude is amazing. I would recommend this school for any child. The cost is also very economical compared to other private schools in the area. That is not to say that NVSI is not a commitment for both the parents and the student, but it is absolutely worth the investment 100%.

Pinecrest is determined to overachieve in academics. My son is in first grade and he's currently reading at a Second grade level most likely by the end of the year he will be able to read a third-grade level. If one of your major concerns is the school systems in Nevada I would definitely recommend Pinecrest Academy. They have multiple campuses know and are opening up a high school. Today was the honors assembly and I would say about half of the k-2 received the award.

My son has been going here since 2020 and for the last 2 years, I have…read moredespised it, ever since they became this 5 star school the administration has cared nothing about the students and everything about keeping five stars as well as the whole pickup and drop off is unbelievable how are they going to designate a fifth grade pickup and drop off and not abide by it....It's unbelievable to me. I think the way they run the school is absolutely horrible. I think the way that they conduct their pickup and drop off is absolutely ridiculous and I'm so glad to be out of this school and over to Cadence next year.
