We absolutely loved Coronado Prep. Both of our girls went there, and over five years it became such a big part of our family's life. The teachers and staff were always caring, kind, and genuinely excited to see the kids. They also did such a great job making things fun. My girls still remember the foam parties, bounce houses, Trunk or Treat, Santa visits, and all the different taste-testing activities. There was always something special going on, and they made so many happy memories there. We always felt like our kids were safe, cared for, learning, and having fun. They entered kindergarten a step ahead and had an easy transition into elementary school. Mrs Jen and all the teachers have gone above and beyond my wildest dreams of a first school for my child. Mrs Corie has been incredible and from day one my daughter gravitated towards her. We have had Mrs Summer and Mrs Maria for two years now and they couldn't be better. They have been much more than teachers to us. We have gone thru some difficult times and their exact words to me I'll never forget were "we are your family now ".. I wish I could give this place a million stars. My daughter has been coming here since she was just 3 months old, and in three short weeks she'll have her last day with her school family before starting kindergarten. It's such a bittersweet milestone because this place has been such an important part of her life and ours. I actually worked for Miss Jenn when I was in high school over 20 years ago. I knew firsthand that she runs a tight ship and truly cares about providing the best environment for the children in her care. So when I found out I was pregnant, there was never a question about where my baby would go. Over the years, the staff has become so much more than teachers, they've become family. They've celebrated milestones with us, comforted us through tough days, and loved my daughter as if she were one of their own. Knowing she was safe, happy, and genuinely cared for every single day gave me incredible peace of mind. One of the things I love most is how they encourage each child's unique interests. My daughter discovered her love of arts and crafts here( she's currently the captain for the arts and crafts center), and they have always embraced her creativity, giving her opportunities to learn, create, and express herself. Watching her confidence grow has been such a joy. The special events they put together have also created some of our favorite family memories. From the annual Trunk or Treat to the beautiful graduation ceremony, every event is planned with so much care and love. Those are moments I'll cherish forever. It's hard to put into words how much this school has meant to our family over the past few years. My daughter started here in 2023 when she was 2 years old, and as we prepare for kindergarten, I truly can't imagine a better place for her to have spent these important years. We don't call it daycare in our house--we call it school--because that's exactly what it is. The teachers don't just focus on academics. They also teach kindness, emotional regulation, confidence, independence, and problem-solving. Every day, my daughter came home having learned something new, and as she gets ready for kindergarten, I can confidently say she is more than prepared. Her growth is a direct reflection of the love, patience, and dedication of every teacher she's had. One of the greatest gifts this school has given us is a true sense of community. The kids all know one another, they know each other's families, and the parents have built friendships and a support system that extends well beyond the classroom. It truly feels like a village raising our children together, and that's something incredibly special. What's funny is that when I first toured the school in 2022 while looking for childcare for my daughter as a baby, I almost didn't choose it. I thought the infant classroom was too small and assumed a bigger facility would be better. We ended up enrolling somewhere else first. Looking back, I couldn't have been more wrong. After experiencing a much larger childcare center, we realized that bigger didn't mean better. There was less individualized attention, more accidents, and less oversight. Now I completely understand why those classrooms are designed the way they are. The smaller environment allows the teachers to truly know each child and provide the attention and care they deserve. Our time with Coronado Prep has come to an end. My youngest just finished with them and is off to kindergarten. For the last 5 years, this place was family. My oldest has excelled in school in no small part thanks to the education he received here. We could not be happier with CPP! We have been there for four years and my kiddos learned so much and were treated like family! My son started in wildcats at 15 months and graduated pre-K this past summer. My daughter started in monkeys class room at age 3 and graduated pre-K 2 years ago. My husband and I both work, sometimes more than 10 hours and knowing that the director, Ms. Jenn is accommodating to help us out, gave us peace of mind! We knew our kids were in a safe space. Ms. Jenn is very transparent - there are cameras that parents can watch at any time. We get updates on bathroom breaks (when they were younger with diaper changes), when they eat, and activities the kiddos were doing. We love the daily updates and pictures that helped reassure our kiddos were on a schedule and learning different topics each week. My kids have experienced soooo much these past several years and come home excited to tell us about their day. They often got mad when we picked them up too early as well. I also loved that they had testing done twice a year to make sure they were on par academically and mentally. This helped parents see if there was a speech delay, requiring speech pathology, etc. I truly appreciate the attention to details that CPP puts forth into their curriculum. They go above and beyond and I couldn't have asked for more! Yes, sometimes there was some turnover with teachers but I also appreciate Ms. Jenn making sure those hired were a good fit. Jen and her staff are incredible!!! I would not recommend any other preschool/daycare the way I would for CPP. They were my first daycare (and only) where I have truly felt a small, village community type of feel rather than a large, corporate daycare where the frontdesk doesn't know who me or my child are. Jen would be there to greet us every morning with her warm smile! I began with taking my older daughter when she turned 2 and the cameras were such an extra reassurance that no other preschool/daycare offered. I will be honest, after a few months I definitely didn't check them as religiously as the beginning because she was always having fun. I later moved away across town but continued driving to Jen because I loved the sense of family my daughter and I received. I also began taking my newborn there once she arrived and it was such a relief to have such a trusting, safe environment to leave my child. I would even pop in during lunches sometimes to breastfeed her and it was never an issue. The facility was always clean from the rooms to the playground to the bathrooms (both kids and the adult ones I would use when I'd pick up/drop off). My daughter graduated from the preschool class of 2022 and when she started Kindergarten she was meeting/exceeding all expectations academically so the preschool definitely was an assistant in that! What an amazing place! My grandson attended preschool here last year. He loved going everyday. From the front office to the classrooms. Everyone is so friendly. He is thriving in kindergarten so far ahead. I must give credit to Miss Miranda. She is so caring and giving to the children. From the moment we walked in to tour Coronado Prep it has been a wonderful experience! My then 3 year old (just turned 4!) was welcomed into the class like she had been there the entire time. I'm your stereotypical first time mom - constantly worried and terrified my child is going to suffocate, choke, is she reaching milestones etc. Trust me when I say I wasn't going to hand my child over to just any daycare. We "reserved" (pay $100 to hold a spot) with multiple daycares because I couldn't make my mind up. I toured so many places. The daycares that are franchises, the daycares that are also private schools, the religious daycares - I contacted them all before deciding on Coronado. Best decision I've made as a parent. Here's why I HIGHLY recommend them: 1) communication - every single time I emailed Jennifer she responds immediately. Sadly, this isn't the case with most daycares. I need to know that I can reach my child's daycare immediately and Coronado has more than exceeded my expectation. Not only does Jennifer the owner respond immediately but there's an app to reach your child's teachers directly. Communication to me is so important and this place is amazing in that regard. 2) staff - my newborn has three "teachers" and I've been ecstatic with all of them. They all know her and she smiles and gravitates towards all of them. I appreciate them so much. Oh and the staff doesn't have a large turnover (from what I've seen) rate and are highly qualified. They have "younger" staff in the process of becoming L&D nurses to "older" staff that have years of experience. Not going to lie if I win the lottery I'm totally poaching and hiring them to come to my house. Sorry Jen! 3) updates - not only are there cameras you can watch all day but you get real time updates. I know how much my baby ate, when naps started and ended, how many wet diapers and if there was a BM, etc This is very helpful with a baby so I know when I pick her up if she's ready for a nap, or food, or playtime. They also send the most adorable pics of my baby smiling, cuddling, trying new sensory toys etc 4) the newborn room is smaller - I know that sounds like a negative but it's a positive. My child's teachers can see her from anywhere in the room. They can let the kids explore (when they can crawl) on their own while still keeping an eye on them and having them close. Plus since it's smaller there's fewer kids. Staff/teachers that aren't in my child's room still know her. And I don't have to label my baby's bottles they know which bottles are hers and she has her own cubby for diapers, wipes, etc. Makes my life soo much easier. 5) security - you need a card to enter the place. Just a little extra peace of mind. 6) Older kids love the place - my child is still a baby so aside from smiling photos and my own impressions it's hard to judge if kids like it. That's where the older kids come in. I've seen multiple toddlers come in so excited to go to school. Excited to show their teacher their new toy or share whatever happened over the weekend 7) they support small business and charities - I've received emails saying bring in your old towels or blankets for the dog shelter drive. Same for want to buy chocolate bombs, this mom is taking orders 8) they have both educational and fun guests and activities - from pictures with Santa (so cute I loved the pics so much they were our Xmas card - and yes they asked my permission to have my child to take pics with Santa) to getting notifications that a dentist will be visiting and teaching kids about the importance of brushing (obviously doesn't apply to my baby but great for toddlers). Since I've been there they also had a book fair. 9) fun days and newsletters - doesn't apply to my baby bc she's too young but they have "pajama day" "hat day" etc also they send out at least monthly newsletters that contain tips like using M&Ms to teach your child about diversity (every M&M is a different color but they're all the same on inside) I couldn't be happier with this place. I live 20mins from Coronado and they're not on my way to work but they're worth it. Message me if you want any more info. Our daughter has been with Coronado Prep for almost four years now. The entire center has become a part of our extended family. Growing up I had an amazing daycare in California, and so it was really important that we picked a center that felt like home. From the minute I walked into the daycare I knew this was it. The staff is amazing; they truly love each and every child in this program. Our daughter has grown and developed tremendously over the last four years and that is thanks to the balance of educational and social emotional development at this school. Hands down and by far the best school for my daughter. Jennifer the director is so helpful with everything that needs to be taken care of. The overall staff treats you like family and not just a person off the street. Highly recommend if your looking for a prep school for your kids. Very, very, VERY disappointed in this place. We had made our expectations clear from the beginning regarding how we wanted our 2 year old children to be included in activities with the older children in their group. Our children were in "Miss Tami's" class and from the beginning it appeared as if this woman had NO desire or interest WHATSOEVER in doing anything but the minimum child monitoring(letting them go wherever and just watch them to make sure they doing get REALLY get hurt). Watching them continually get left out and wander off, we made our concerns clear to the owner of this school, Jen and she suggested that we drop them off one at a time so they can benefit more. We took her suggestion(although it was inconvenient for us) and monitored the class video for improvements. SAME old story, Miss Tami doing the bare minimum and not trying to include or show any interest or genuine caring about the kids. We were already discussing pulling the kids out when one of them was hurt at school and came home with deep scratches on his face. As any concerned parent, we were alarmed and asked what happened. The answer we were given was that nobody saw what happened that day. Truly UNACCEPTABLE to any parent. This place is truly lucky that we are not the type to sue or try and get a lawyer involved but this last incident made it very clear that there is a problem here. They don't have enough people to watch the amount of kids they take in($$$) AND they have someone like "Ms Tami", who seems to have no genuine interest or caring about these kids. Some nice girls work there like Crystal and a few others but overall, I would never, ever recommend this place to anyone after what we experienced. read more

After touring 5 daycares/preschools in the area and scouring review sites, my husband and I put Coronado Prep at the top of our list. Since my son was 9 months old and I was a nervous wreck to enroll him in daycare, I asked if I could spend a few hours with him in the Cuddly Bears room, set up his crib, nurse him, etc. before leaving him. The staff were more than accommodating! Crystal got him to sleep on his own within a week; prior to that, he would only sleep if being held. The cameras were such a reassurance; I loved being able to peek in while I was at work. Since then, he has moved up with his cohort of friends to Wildcats and Pandas, and will be moving to Monkeys this summer. He is now 2.5 years old and can identify his letters, count to 20 in English and Spanish, sing songs clearly like there's no tomorrow, and loves "going to school" every day. I'm no longer a nervous wreck of a mom. I have such peace about him being in a safe and loving environment, that I haven't even looked at the cameras in over a year. This is not a corporate environment, so don't expect the "10-Step Diaper Wipe" style policies found at other chain schools in the area. CPP is family owned and Jenn is awesome. She is down-to-earth and makes the kids feel at home. Most, if not all, of the teachers know the kids' names, regardless of which room they teach in. They just installed beautiful new flooring a couple months ago and regularly deep clean the facility, to address the previous negative review (of someone who never even enrolled her child here). Updating the review I wrote when my daughter was 2 - she is 5.5 now and has been at Coronado Prep ever since, right up until she started Kinder. My daughter loved her time at Coronado Prep and from the very beginning, Jen was very accommodating to our schedule and needs. My daughter loved her teachers and all the staff. From our first week there staff made a point to get to know us and treated us like family. My daughter was safe and well cared for during her time at Coronado and she loved the extra activities they put on like the Halloween Trunk-or-Treat and her preschool graduation. They also utilize excellent cleaning procedures and have state of the art airy filters to help reduce risk of COVID and other illness. My daughter loves Coronado so much she asks to go back to say hi to everyone even though she's in Kinder now. We will definitely be back during school breaks!! read more

I love this preschool! The only reason we left was to move out of state. I have a 3.5yr old daughter and 5yr old son. Both kids would come home and talk not stop about their teachers Ms Kira and Ms Ashley. Ms Ashley has a very kind and calming personality that makes you feel really comfortable leaving your child. The school offers vegan, gluten free, healthy options for lunch. They provide the food and snacks. The school provides cameras so you can check on them throughout the day. The owner Jen is so easy to work with, if there is a schedule change or you need to drop your kid off an extra day, she is very understanding and a great communicator. I was sad leaving this place. This is such an amazing place, I can't say enough positive things. The school adds an extra hour to our day due to the distance to/from our home but it is one hundred percent worth it. After almost 7 months...removed my child as it was very unsafe. teachers not being trained that he has asthma, cussing in front of the children, not receiving what we were promised in the handbook, teacher and her family having a screaming match in class, really excessive turnover rate, a dog that growls and barks at parents and children that has free run on site..list goes on. Water given when an inhaler should have been given. Giving medication to my son (that we asked them to) but when asked what time or record for meds "I dunno I think we was given medicine before nap" After informing the Director that we are pulling our son...I suddenly had no access to video feed in the classroom (have never lost feed)...so I went in early to remove my son. read more

My oldest is now in kindergarten and thriving thanks to the amazing education she received at Coronado Prep. She is always talking about her teachers and how much she misses them and is so excited when she gets to pop in to say hi! My 2 year old is currently doing great here. She is almost fully potty trained thanks in big part to Tammy! It takes extremely loving and patient people to deal with kids at this age and I am so thankful for every one of them at Coronado prep!! We chose this amazing school after reading reviews, talking to parents, and taking their tour with Ms. Jenn. The first teacher we were introduced to was Ms. Tammy, this would be our daughters teacher. We instantly fell in like, and later in love. Ms. Tammy knew exactly how to redirect our daughter, nurture her, and engage her too. Our daughter has since moved on to another class, that we also love...but we still pine for Ms. Tammy, get hugs and catch up whenever we can. What a wonderful and special lady. Ms. Jenn has done a phenomenal job ensuring our children are safe, well cared for, and allowed to be free to learn and explore. We're so pleased, as the first preschool our daughter attended was a cold institution, where Ms. Jenn's is warm, and inviting. Our plan is for our daughter to stay on until she goes to kindergarten. As exciting as this will be, when that time comes, we're going to really miss this amazing school!!! We'll always refer families, and stay in touch with Ms. Tammy, and the entire school! I cannot day enough good things about the staff and owner of Coronado Prep. This was the first place I visited when selecting a daycare in early 2018 for our 4 month old. I had several other appointments set up after this one and toured 6 other schools, but I knew Coronado Prep was the place for us! I never worry about leaving my little boy there. He's 2 and a half now, and I can't imagine stressing about his safety or anything like that while at work. This was the only daycare I found that offers webcams in real time. Anytime I want to log on and check on him in the middle of the day, I can. The owner, Jen, has been doing this for 20+ years. She is accessible and truly takes pride in what she does. 5 stars isn't enough for Coronado Prep. They need 10!!! Miss Tami and Miss Brandi are wonderful. We love them!!! read more
