My oldest son attended kids r kids for 6 months, and then I pulled him out due to my maternity leave. After 3 months, I brought him back along with my new second baby. The first 6 months, I didn't have much concerns. Yes, he was constantly sick, he even contracted impetigo at one point from a classmate. But, this is daycare and at the age where everyone was putting things in their mouths. He did constantly have reports of other children bitting him, which my husband and I were very patient with. The assured me that they had talked to the parents, etc. He had a great teacher that showed him lots of love and I had great camera access. We had good rapport with the front office. We were never late to pick up our son. We always paid in full, on time. We did not complain. We complied by all the rules. We were flexible and understanding. Fast h to when we bring the babies back from my leave. My son was moved to a new classroom. Before coming back, I had a conversation with Mrs. Cindy about my concern for the transition, as my son was not verbal yet. On day 2 of returning, I get stopped as I was leaving the facility from pick up. I get handed a pamphlet by Mrs. Donna and get told that my son needs evaluation. She starts talking to me about autism and aspergers. I call my husband, he tells me I must've misunderstood. The next day, I come in and talk to his new teacher. Who tells me he doesn't follow instructions. That he doesn't play right. I talk to mrs. Cindy. She tells me that he's 2 and it's alarming that he puts his hand in a cup. My husband and I, are not closed minded people. We immediately make him and appointment for evaluation services. We call them at the daycare, we ask them to see if they are willing to help us, since they are watching our son full time. They swear they are here to help, that they are not going to kick us out. Fast forward to a week and a half later, mrs. Cindy refuses for an evaluator come work with our son at the facility. pulls me into the office the ne t morning and ask that I withdraw my children. There's no openings at any other daycare, but they want us out as soon as possible because he's too much for them to handle. They run their rooms at state minimum, and you would think that for the amount they charge, they could afford to hire more qualified people. Mrs Donna tells me that the initial teacher has been fired due to her impatience, but yet my son was the issue ? Because and administrator, went in to change diapers, and my son stuck his hand in the toilet ? Because you have a room of 8+ 2 year olds and you think it's ok to leave doors unlocked, and my son walked out of one due to you were inattentive? My husband calls the director, Michael, who tells him he's a children's psychologist and my son has some sort of auditory processing disorder. Question of the day: how many times did any of you spend observing the classroom ? Making sure your staff was doing it's best and not put the blame on a 2 Year old? We were watching the cameras like hawks after day 1, I saw mrs Cindy enter 3 times for less then 2 minutes and Michael entered not even once. Mind you, my newborn, was sat in a vibrating chair or a swing 90% of the day. Bare minimum stimulation and tummy time. Another mom I knew had to keep calling them to ask if they could please give her son tummy time, because on the cameras she could only see that he was sitting. My son never had autism or behavioral issues. Turns out, he had fluid in his ears and couldn't hear. He's now excelling. But kids r kids didn't have the time or patience to deal with it, despite the $2000 I was forking our every month. At the end, we take them to a new place. Find out what a true daycare is like. Milestone tracking. Education. Schedules. Lunches and breakfast that they enjoyed. Complete opposite of this place. I can only thank this place for kicking us out. My children couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor, literally any other place will be worth your money. Adults who blame children - always a bad sign.

This year, I decided to bring my daughter who turned 1 and I'm just at awe on how some of the teachers I've seen all those years ago are still here... now taking care of my second child. It goes to show how much these teachers love their job at Hand in Hand. Even the director of the school is the same. What's surprising is they haven't seen my son for many years and to this day, remembers him. I know my kids are in good hands and I have high confidence with the staff.

They encourage playtime, and always have a huge smile on their face when it's time to pickup.

We stayed as long as we did because of…read morethe convenience, but looking back, there were numerous concerns about the way the center was operated that ultimately led us to withdraw our child earlier than planned. One of the first issues involved diapers and wipes. When we enrolled, the advertising clearly stated that diapers and wipes were included at no additional cost. About a year later, I noticed an extra charge on our account with no prior notice. When I questioned it, I was told I was mistaken and that they had never offered diapers and wipes at no charge. Fortunately, I still have a copy of the original advertisement showing otherwise. While I eventually let the issue go, it left me feeling that transparency and accountability were lacking. Over the years, I also became concerned about the number of times I was called to pick up my child because they supposedly had a fever. On multiple occasions, my child did not have a fever by the time I arrived. I also noticed these calls often seemed to happen when the center appeared to be short-staffed. I cannot say for certain what was happening behind the scenes, but it gave me the impression that staffing issues may have been influencing decisions about sending children home. Whether that was the case or not, it significantly eroded my trust. There were several other situations that, in my opinion, reflected poor business practices and questionable ethics. As parents, we place an incredible amount of trust in the people caring for and teaching our children. I expect honesty, transparency, and integrity from a childcare provider, and over time I no longer felt confident that those values were being upheld. The biggest confirmation that we made the right decision came after we left. Our child is noticeably happier, more excited about going to school, and their overall attitude has improved dramatically. That change alone tells me we made the right choice for our family. Every family's experience may be different, but based on ours, I can no longer recommend La Petite. I hope they take steps to improve their communication, transparency, and overall business practices because families deserve to feel confident in the care their children receive.

Kids enjoy their time in the playground or in the indoor gym. If you want the full experience, please read on--this may save another parent time, money, and potentially their child's well-being. Over the four weeks my 5-year-old son attended this childcare/summer camp, I observed a clear disconnect between the front desk staff--who were kind and professional--and what actually happens in the back rooms. Unfortunately, it seems they hire unqualified, undertrained staff with no teaching credentials, and in many cases, little concern for the children. During the first week, I made two simple requests: do not refill my son's water bottle with sink water (as he won't drink it), and please keep me updated on his day. Neither request was followed. His water was not replaced with what I provided, and I received no updates. In the second week, my son was scratched across his face by another child. No incident report was filed. I only found out through his cousin who also attends the facility. By the third week, my son was kicked in his private area by an older child who should never have been grouped with 5-year-olds. Again, no report, no call. When I asked about it, I was told they were "still investigating." There was still no update going into the fourth week. On pickup during week four, I found my son visibly upset. He told me he wasn't allowed to use his tablet because he answered a math question incorrectly. Instead, he had to sit and watch other children use theirs. These are staff members with no teaching credentials, yet they are using punitive and inappropriate methods for learning. As a nurse, I understand that children learn differently--this approach is not only ineffective, it's discouraging. For $170 a week, my child had a miserable experience that resulted in emotional distress and even required doctor visits. No parent should have to deal with this.
