OK...this will be a review of Dr Dyer, but also something people who need osseous surgery can refer…read moreto. The review will be ongoing since the osseous surgery needs to be done in stages, so review will be updated several times. Although I brush and floss, I developed gun disease and needed osseous surgery. Osseous surgery can be intimidating. That is because you have to cut the gums open to expose and work on the inflamed tissues and often damaged tooth root. It is not quite open heart surgery, but it is something that is still pretty serious and requires a lot of skill, especially since you will be awake the whole time. Having said that, don't worry too much, the procedure itself is not painful. The shots, of course sting and you will need several. Doc Dyer was quick and efficient. OK, so gums are cut open and doc Dyer is cleaning away and seems to be in the zone. I saw one reviewer claim that doc Dyer is not friendly. In my experience he was quite friendly during the initial visit, but yes was not particularly jovial during the actual work. But that is, IMO, because he is serious about the work he is doing. Your gums are cut open and he is down in your tooth root doing some pretty hard core work/scraping (he also had to re-build a damaged root) so you might not want Rodney Dangerfield type humor at that moment. Just my take. He did call to check up on me that night, I think it was about 20 minutes to 9, so that shows me he cares about you after the work day is over. I am sorry to say this, but IMO, a lot of health pros are in it only for the money (please see my review of Delight Dental) but doc Dyer did not have to call at night. Good sign. So the section was done and I went home. My meds were waiting for me at my local Pharmacy, no problem, but 2 hours later I was feeling no pain so I did not take anything. I probably should have because 2 hours later the gums started to hurt. I ended up taking 3-4 codeine. The next morning they really hurt and I took one and they still hurt so I took another. I was worried because you don't get a lot of codeine...but pretty soon the pain resided and here on day 2 I have some lower jaw soreness and moderate gum pain and might need a few more but I am pretty sure I am good. That is a pet peeve of mine, docs who underprescribe pain medication since they care more about their license than your pain (thank the opiod crisis and general greed). Another reviewer claims that doc Dyer under prescribed pain meds, but I am getting by with no problem on what he wrote. I am getting a little pain from eating but I have enough meds, so don't worry about that although YMMV. That wraps it up fo right now. I am a tough grader but have to go with a 5 for right now. We will see how things go when I get the rest of my work done.

My mount hurt for 2 days, and my gum was black and blue. I understand not all us are talkers, and that's fine. I am not there for the personality, I am there for expertise. I would not send my dog to this man. MY husband is a doctor, he called me in an antibiotic. What a jerk this guy is. I am surprised he still has a practice.

By FAR the worst dentist I have been to. This place should be shut down. Horrible experience, I would NOT take a child here. Look elsewhere. I had the same experience that many others reviewers mentioned with an over a 3 hour wait time for a scheduled procedure. My child has now been fasting for more than 15 hours, 5 hours more than necessary. Lack of communication and organization especially when it comes to a 4 year old. We have been planning this procedure for months and I was not given any information that it would be a wait time this long. I have done same procedures at other places without this issue. Everything before the procedure was very disorganized. The assistant talking to me as we speak sounds like she is half asleep and mumbling off. Has no idea what she is doing. Did not even know my name (I am the legal guardian). Did not have the right paper work (had someone else's) I would gladly pay another practice more for better quality service. Their "Patient Advocate" , Evelyn that replies to these reviews are just automated copy and paste. Not helpful. Most of these positive reviews are generated via paid agencies to boost their Google reviews. For a better representation of their actual reviews check Yelp (2.8/5) but even that is over inflated. Doctors Involved: King and and Lo Timeline: 8:30am: checked-in 9:30am: brought into room said it will be 45 min 10:30am: was told another 45 minutes 11:30am: was told another 10 minutes 12:15pm: procedure started Update: after the procedure they have the decency to call me asking me to pay for a consultation that never happened. See image below, where she corrects her self mid voicemail asking for payment and then realizing I had already paid it. Goes to show how disorganized they are. I would not trust my family at this place, let alone kids.

A harmful experience for my 80 years old mom- Before signing…read morethe initial contract, the clinic used a computer screen to present pricing and represented that surgery, a healing/temporary denture, and related services would cost approximately $12,000, with a future fixed implant option priced at approximately $30,000 (total approximately $42,000). We were later informed that financing for the full $42,000 was not approved. The clinic reduced the plan to approximately $12,000 so treatment could proceed. Based on this representation, the $12,000 contract was signed. Surgery was performed; however, the healing/temporary denture was not provided at the time of surgery, despite prior representations that it would be placed the same day. After surgery, the clinic withheld the healing denture and stated it would only be provided after I signed a new or expanded contract. I was then informed the fixed implant price increased from approximately $30,000 to approximately $70,000. When I stated this was unaffordable, a $30,000 removable denture was proposed instead. I refused to sign any new contract. No permanent denture or implant treatment was authorized or accepted. Because I refused the second contract, my 80-year-old mother has been left without teeth for over two months, causing physical weakness and emotional distress.
