This is a top notch Professional Dental Group from Dr Norwood down to the receptionist. They are friendly and very down to earth. I'm always on time and so are they. I have no dental insurance and so they offered me their in house insurance and it saves me money. Active life has several locations but I prefer and use this one on Jones road even though skinner location is so close to my house. First time parient. Spent $130 for them to only examine and x-ray a single tooth for 10 minutes and then refer me elsewhere. They were quick to hand me their price guide for follow up procedures on my return. They also had the gall to offer me their in house dental coverage for an additional $130-ish in order to reduce the pricing of the already overpriced procedure. No cleaning, no full examination, no relief offered, just one tooth examined and on your way. Would not recommend. You can find more service, with better quality and better equipment, for less elsewhere so don't bother coming here. Total waste of time and money, totally dissatisfied. read more

I have been to the Jones rd location a few times. After years of horrible dental woes with other dentists. The prices here for some work I need done were way lower than other places. They didn't try to pressure me into doing work faster than I wanted. I was looking up their number to see about scheduling again..and noticed the low reviews. Which I thought to be odd. I had a great experience there. They were very gentle and reasonable about only doing work on one tooth at a time so my mouth didn't get tired because of my TMJ..they were very understanding of my anxiety and trying to keep me entertained talking to me etc. My mother in law has also been going here for many years and some of my other friends do as well. I wish I had found them sooner..maybe I would still have all my teeth. read more

My family recently transferred over to your office after many years with another who recently retired. I came in for a deep cleaning, (2) visits then followed up with a normal cleaning. All this was scheduled by your front office. Yesterday when my wife went in for her appointment she was told that I owned $50. After a few phones calls to delta dental and the your front office I have been told that there had to be 31 days between the deep cleaning and general cleaning. Delta told me that this is standard practice and that the dentist office should also validate coverage and patient responsibility prior to all service. When I spoke to the front office there was absolutely no acceptance of responsibility nor that the office procedures should be altered. In fact your office representative seemed hostile and just said that it's my responsibility to check with my insurance prior to arranging additional appointment. What a shame, I will not be recommending your service to neighbors and friends when asked. read more

what started out as the most pleasant experience i have ever had with a dentist. went terribly sour. with dealing with the receptionist Vicky who talk to everyone like shes their 3rd grade teacher. She repeatedly raised her voice at me over the phone. And if you are in pain forget it. Was told to take 4 ibuprofen. And we both know that wasnt going to do the trick. This review is for their person who schedules their appointments. Not only did I call at 7 am and was not able to get a hold of anyone until 7:20 am. When I finally did reach someone (after they finally took their phone off night mode) and I explained to her that it is an emergency and I chipped my front tooth and needed to get in immediately. She was extremely rude and said the earliest they could do was 3. After begging with her and explaining I have a job I needed as early as possible she rudely stated that they could do 10 but I could be waiting an hour or so. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere I got in immediately at Windermere Dental and didn't have to deal with any rude staff. read more

Everything I have had done to my teeth there has ended up with it causing me to need more work. They are quik to tell you that you need a root canal or crown or pull a toothe. I needed a mouthpiece for many years and they said my insurance would not pay for it and it would cost me over 800.00 dollars. Went to another dentist and guess what, they told me my insurance pays 100% for a mouthpiece. There is really not one thing in my mouth that feels right anymore because of them...be wary if you have good dental insurance they can bill everytime they see you...always get another opinion before they do anything...WISH I HAD!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I went for a check up and cleaning with Active life Dentistry and had a great time, the tv was entertaining and the xrays were a breeze, I saw Natalie O farrell. the exam was a mess, she said I had two cracked teeth and two cavities. I was very disappointed in the finding. I just had two on lays recently. I also had my teeth cleaned at Active life dentistry. Anyhow, my projected bill was going to be around 3,000 dollars. I decided to go to a Private dentist in waller to get another opinion about all this work that supposedly had to be done and the dentist told me my teeth were not cracked and that he had no plans for fixing anything that was not broke in my mouth for no reason even for money related reasons there was no need to tear up my good teeth, I ended up having one cavity and my teeth were not cleaned good enough by the hygienist at Active life Dentisty so now I have to get my teeth re cleaned and pay for another cleaning. She even put the mirror up to me and see the tooth is cracked. The private dentist i went to said its just stained and it looks like a crack but its not. be careful when you go to this place. Im very disappointed and I am given a rating of one star because of the Television. read more
