I tried putting off my root canal for budget reasons but had to bite the bullet! I researched several Endodontists and found the wonderful Dr. Abedin. Dr. Abedin is warm, friendly, informative, educated, and very kind. She talked me through every step of the way and never experienced any pain. She was efficient and helpful. Not to mention her staff is amazing too! It was easy to make an appointment and will definitely refer my friends to her! read more

Really good experience from start to finish with Dr. Abedin and Ms. Amy. A root canal is rarely a joy, but they really did a most professional job. The moreso as the resorption on my affected tooth was more advanced than anticipated. Subsequent accolades on the work done from my excellent DDS Dr. Roy reaffirm the above. Dentistry these days is largely a commodified business; Dr Abedin and Ms. Amy really made you feel the personal touch. Zero impression that the patient is on a conveyor belt as in other practices. We'll see how the final result turns out, as I have heard more than a few anecdotes about "root canal failures" which apparently occur after some years. So far so good with Dr. Abedin ! Highly recommend. read more

Let me start off by disclosing that I am a dentist. I recently found myself in the unfortunate position of needing a root canal treatment. Yes, dentists need dental treatment too! Being professionally acquainted with Dr. Abedin and her results, I didn't hesitate to book myself an appointment to be treated by her. The whole process of booking the appointment, finding the office and getting checked in was easy and smooth. What really impressed me, though, was Dr. Abedin's attention to detail. She is calm, cheerful and reassuring every step of the way. She took her time and made SURE that I was well and truly numb before proceeding with any treatment. As a clinician, I appreciated seeing an expert at work. The procedure was uneventful for me, and I partly listened to a podcast, and partly napped as I was so relaxed in the dental chair. One thing that I was truly unprepared for was that Dr. Abedin takes extra steps to assure a superior clinical outcome. I wish that I could truly convey what a big deal that is. She does not get payed anymore because of it, insurance does not reimburse her any extra. She spends more time and material simply because she wants to deliver superior long term results! Finally, I can't say enough nice things about her staff, they were truly gentle and kind! I want to add that as a dentist I have seen the results of her work and was always impressed and that is why I booked myself with her, but I was blown away by the experience itself! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! read more

Dr. Abedin and the front office staff were absolutely superb! Would definitely recommend to anybody.

I can't say enough good things about Doctor Abedin and Amy. They are sweet, professional, knowledgeable, and they let you know what they are recommending and doing every step so there's no surprises. They present options and let you decide without pressuring you. They provide you recommendations as well so you can have guidance. I recommend them so much! read more

Was told they were in the network of my dental insurance before getting the root canal. However, it turned out they were actually not contracted provider and the insurance only paid for the average cost for contracted providers. And their charge is double of the average cost so we have to pay out of our own pocket. read more

I can't say anymore than all of these amazing reviews except that they are all 100% true! This entire office staff is professional and personable. You do not feel like they are just trying to hurry up and finish and get on to the next person. They are there for YOU and to make sure YOU are comfortable and knowledgeable about what is going on. Even after everything is done the staff STILL makes sure you are OK with everything and understand aftercare. read more

Literally the best doctor I have gone to, period. Not only is Dr. Abedin extremely professional and experienced, she also takes the time to connect to her patients on a personal level. Dr. Abedin goes above and beyond your normal doctor, and makes you feel like a guest not a number. Today she was able to fit me in on a very short notice, at a very affordable rate!!! I will now only go to her for any of my dental work and I will only recommend her. She is the best read more

I was dreading and nervous about going to get a retreatment on my root canal. But the Ladies at Roots were so amazing! Cindy at the front was so sweet and attentive. Dr. Abedine is a consummate professional and takes great care in making certain you are fully taken care of during your visit. The office is so nice and clean and beautifully decorated with extravagant yet elegant pieces of art. I have had three root canals and several consults with Dr. Abedine, and trust her. The view from the window of memorial park is breath taking and one that helps you relax and feel comfy. The gadgets and tools used are always kept sanitary and in perfect condition. I would highly recommend you stop in to see Dr. Abedine when you need an endodontic consult and you will be pleased. The young lady at the front, Cindy, is always so nice and she also assists Dr. Abedine in the back. Throughout my root canals it was always nice for Dr. Abedine to ask if I needed a break and if I was doing ok. Its time to call and schedule a visit the next time you want some good work done to your roots. Cheers! read more

I was referred here by my dentist, Dr. Zarrabi from mint dental work, and I could not have had a better experience. Dr. Abedin was so kind, professional, & has the best bedside manner. She is constantly checking on you, and walking you through each step of the procedure. I would give her 6 stars if I could. The dental assistants Cindy & Emily were also very kind. 12/10 would recommend. read more

We need more doctors like Dr Abedin! My experience at Roots was not what I had expected from a dental office. Her receptionist booked me for an emergency appointment and handled all my paperwork prior to my appointment. I wasn't triple booked so there was no wait time which I loved. Also, I was impressed by how patient dr Abedin was when I was addressing my concerns regarding my root canal because I wasn't sure if I really needed one. She was definitely conservative with the treatments she recommended so we decided to watch my tooth instead of quickly moving forward with procedures I wasn't sure I needed. It's refreshing to see doctors that actually listen and provide a high quality of care instead of the usual medical attitude which seems to be "let's get started on your procedure because you have great insurance". I definitely recommend dr Abedin! read more

A painless root canal?? Yes! This was my second root canal (ugh, right?) with Dr. Abedin and I wasn't quite as anxious this second time around because my first experience went so well. I'm very impressed with Dr. Abedin's competence, kindness, professionalism, intelligence and compassion. She prescribed a strong Acetaminophen to stop the pain pre- and post-surgery, and by the time I ran out of pills there was no pain. She was able to drill through my crown with no damage. So, yes, a painless root canal! read more

Dr. Shadi Abedin is absolutely wonderful. An extreme phobia got me into the position to need a root canal and she handled it exceptionally. Another dental practice told me removal of the tooth was the only option. I sought a second opinion and Dr. Abedin managed expectations but told me she'd do her best. She saved the tooth and I am beyond grateful. I had zero pain or swelling the next day. Highly recommended. read more

Dr. Abedin is amazing. Due to extreme dental phobia I've put off YEARS of dental work and now I'm having to pay for it. Today, I have my first root canal and I'm not going to lie, I shed a few tears due to my anxiety and fear. However, Dr. Abedin and her wonderful staff were so comforting and supportive. My anxiety went out the window and I was able to relax through an entire root canal, no pain at all!! She was gentle, caring , patient and explained everything she was doing throughout the treatment. Thank you so much Dr. Abedin for what you did today. It speaks volumes and it means so much to me! If you are afraid or uncertain about getting work done, please go to Dr. Abedin! No more dental phobia! :D read more

I came here off the recommendation of my dentist, Dr. Ashley Brown from Infinite Smiles for a retreat of a root canal from 10 years ago. I will absolutely come here for any root canal work I may need. Dr. Abedin's beside manner is awesome. She is so nice and really put me at ease to where I could even laugh while I was in the chair. Normally I'm full of anxiety and don't want to be there. read more

I normally don't post things on yelp unless the experience was out of this world. After receiving bad experience from other dental offices I was referred to Dr. Shadi Abedin. I have to say her office staff was amazing. Dr. Abedin also was very helpful, took 2 others visits elsewhere to finally give me the diagnosis that was needed. They weren't trying to sell me on what they "think" they can do but actually provided me with useful information. Highly recommend. read more

Dr. Abedin and Cindy are absolutely the best! The quality of personal care I received from their offices was beyond stellar. If every doctor was like Dr. Abedin, there would be many more happy, healthy patients. She is conscientious and extremely detail-oriented, taking her time to be thorough, careful, and mindful of my best interests as her patient. She explained each and every step of the process, what needed to be done, and her plan to get it taken care of. I felt informed and part of the loop in my care. Additionally, Dr. Abedin has wonderful bedside manner and makes you feel instantly comfortable. Her office is state-of-the-art and positively contributes to a relaxing experience. Root canal expert! I was extremely nervous and wanted to make sure I got the best care for my tooth so I wouldn't have to end up in this situation ever again. After talking with Dr. Abedin, she never once pressured me and made me feel extremely comfortable. She talked me through the entire procedure and before I knew it I was out of there! Her staff was very accommodating with getting an appointment right away and going over the financial part with me before my exam was done. I consulted with other endodontists before making my final decision with Dr. Abedin, and it was the best decision I could have made! read more

I had some infection on two front teeth 3 months ago and was referred to Roots. Their office is very clean with beautiful view of trees in Memorial Park. Dr. Abedin has done a great job in the root canal procedure. The whole process was fast, professional and no pain. The infection was gone in a few days and never come back. The staff there were gentle and helpful. The cost was very reasonable, and was clearly explained before the procedure. read more
