The new deck is beautiful: Trex Transcends composite decking in Tiki Torch with a black railing and Tiki Torch cocktail rail, matching 52" wide steps with lights as required by code, and sturdy wood frame below the deck. They started sooner than required in the contract, and while the build took on the longer side due to the July heat, they finished before the contract start date. I usually do the design for all house projects, but Pro Deck (Gerry) came up with a super elegant design for me and he also actually came up with the best design out of all, while three of the other contractors either ignored or forgot my requirements and gave a single quote or partial quotes for 3-4 options discussed. Gerry is meticulous with the quote he provided, and the details were relevant in comparison to the others I received. ProDeck Installers will work with you to address your HOA headaches and shenanigans, which I had with offset measurements and approvals, etc and will do the work for the county permit. One of the other contractors that gave the lowest quote said to me "you don't need a permit" - beware! Pro Deck Installers' price is very competitive, but for the quality of the materials I was getting, it was really the best deal. As for the work getting done, again quality and timeliness was top notch. Tony and their guys are very efficient, professional and they care about the work they do. For so long I put off getting a new deck because of all the hassle that comes with it, but the experience I had with them really exceeded my expectations.
