We recently had the pleasure of working with the Traylor team for a major renovation of our home, and I am happy with the results. From start to finish, the entire process was professional and as smooth as it could be for a multi room home renovation. The initial consultation process was especially helpful because they work with a great design team where you can really see how the materials will look together. The duo of Renata and Andre both have great ideas from both a function and design perspective but still try to accommodate the budget. They provide visuals before committing to the project and they were flexible enough to change the layout to our liking several times - we could be pretty honest about what we wanted or not. The outcome was pretty exact to the final renderings. We were given regular updates on the progress, any unexpected issues, and how they were being addressed. Traylor was always upfront about timelines and costs, which helped avoid any unpleasant surprises later on. They document every detail in an organized way so it is never unclear. It was a big project for us so, yes of course, we had add-ons and spent more than expected but that was not their pushing but more our choices. Of note, the project was definitely completed on time but we also had a VERY flexible timeline. Still I got the impression they always push forward to stay on track. The craftsmanship was exactly what we had hoped for and we have already gotten compliments on the transformation of our home. Post-renovation, the customer service has remained excellent. When I had a minor issue with a cabinet handle and drawer, they sent their main point person and construction team again to fix it at no additional cost. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is evident, even after the job is done. I do recommend this team to anyone considering a bigger home renovation of the main attraction areas of their home. Their work does have a clean "wow" effect. read more

Our tiny 1950s kitchen was once the worst room in our house, and now it is easily the best. We are very happy we hired Traylor to complete the renovation for us. We removed the wall between the kitchen and the tiny dining room, and Traylor rerouted HVAC, relocated plumbing, updated electrical, and installed cabinets, counters, and new flooring. The transformation has made a huge difference in how we use our home. The quality of the work is solid, especially given the price--which is truly hard to beat. The team was professional, punctual, and respectful throughout the process. They cleaned up daily, which we really appreciated. Renata and Livia were always responsive, and Andre checked in on progress regularly. One of the most impressive parts of the project was how they matched the new kitchen floor to our existing hardwoods. They removed the old kitchen tile and weaved in new boards seamlessly with the dining room flooring--it looks like it was always one room. Several guests have commented on how great it looks. We're overall very happy with the work Traylor completed for us and will work with them again for our next project. read more

Traylor did a great job on partial renovations to our 2 bathrooms! They quickly removed the old tub/showers and were very accommodating to our timelines and making sure that we always had a bathroom available while work was going on. They also worked with us when we found that a column was structural and needed to be moved and supplemented to ensure a safe final construction. The final tile work looks great in both locations as well. read more

Traylor provided high quality service and a reasonable price. We had our whole kitchen gutted and renovated in the timespan of about a month. We provided them a tight timeline and they stuck to it even when issues arose. They were great with communicating information and were always available to answer questions. Andre even helped us with issues that were outside of our project and would go out of his way to make our home more beautiful. Would definitely hire them again for future projects and recommend them to anyone for projects both big and small! read more

We had Traylor work on removing a structural wall and were absolutely thrilled with the experience. Andre (who runs things) was incredibly hands on and interested in our vision. It required a steel beam and removing a lot of masonry from a wall in our kitchen, but each night they cleaned up and we could actually use the kitchen. They showed up every day (clearly communicated) and worked until it was done. We will definitely be using them again. read more

We have worked with Traylor now for 3+ years on various projects at our home, and have always been very pleased. They re-did our deck, built us a front porch, re-did a hall bathroom and created an office on our first floor. Just this past week, they modified our upstairs floor to add a wall and create a new room, and it looks beautiful! They are quick to respond and provide a quote, and the work is always of the highest quality. We are always impressed and very happy with their work. We will continue to use Traylor for all of our house projects. Highly recommend this company!! Thank you Andre & team! read more

Traylor Design remodeled our walk-in master bath shower after it was found to be cracked and leaking. They replaced and repaired everything quickly and with very high quality work. They made sure to check in with me and show me the work after every step so I could see and understand the progress as it went. I would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future! read more

I have hired Traylor Design & Construction on two occasions now to renovate my bathroom and my kitchen. Andre does absolutely beautiful work and pays amazing attention to the detail. The price is always right and his workers are careful, courteous and always on time. I could not be more happy with the renovations and plan to hire Traylor again for some outdoor projects soon. 5 stars across the board! read more

This is the second time we have worked with Andre and his team - and they are simply the best. They are easy to work with, their prices are competitive, and the quality of their work is top-notch. We would definitely go back to Traylor Design and Construction again for future needs and would recommend them to anyone considering working with them. read more

The whole Traylor team was top-notch. Andre came out to personally go through the estimate and was here constantly to check on the project. After receiving 7 different proposals for our house project we decided to go with Traylor. They were licensed, competitively priced and responsive. They painted our entire house and completely remodeled my entire office. The team worked efficiently and when I made suggestions along the way, they were accommodating. I was fearful that the timeline would be extended but indeed, they finished at the agreed-upon date and at the agreed-upon price. We will definitely be using them again to remodel our kitchen, bathrooms, and basement. read more

Traylor Design did an amazing job at my house. They completed a bathroom remodel and roof replacement. Andre is very knowledgeable about his work and attentive to details. I will definetly be contacting them for futute renovations. read more

We had an excellent experience with Traylor Design and Construction for a basement bathroom renovation last month. Andre's attention to detail and pride in the final product really set this company apart from others we have worked with in the past. For example, the tile we had purchased for the shower step didn't quite work or match the color scheme, so Andre went to several stores to pick up a variety of samples that would best fit the space. In another example, the workers had laid a pipe in the ceiling where we planned to have an overhead light. Instead of ignoring it and installing the light off-center, they redid the piping (which I'm sure was frustrating) so that the light would fall directly in the center of the shower. Andre definitely has an eye for design and helped us create an amazing final bathroom without us having to hire a separate designer. He's also just generally a nice guy and his crews were very polite and worked hard. We are very happy with the final product and have since recommended him to two other friends for similar projects. read more

Traylor Design & Construction - Our gorgeous new basement bathroom! THANKS Andre! - General Contractors Near Me

We absolutely love our new bathroom! Andre, Manny, and their team were incredible. They personally handled our remodel with professionalism, interest, and care. They were knowledgable in a well rounded manner, helped guide us on decisions which were tough to make, and provided options when needed. The daily teams always arrived on time, staged their work in a protected area, and ensured the project stayed isolated so the rest of house was clean. They were very kind and included Andre or Manny on details that were not outlined in the project scope so we could all address the changes or details forgotten (small things like position of the shower heads, location of shower door based on access, even toilet proximity to window!) We felt very involved and impressed by all of the teams. The only thing that we would recommend is to stay on top of changes. While every project will have unknowns and modifications, there needed to be extra reviews on change orders with the back office documentation. Payment and schedules were not communicated in advance, so there were times where payment was made and bills were still coming in, or payment was expected but bills were not sent to both home owners. This was easy to handle for our project size, but might want to be further detailed on larger scopes. All in all, 10 out of 10 and will be hiring these guys again. We have also recommended them to our neighbors :) read more

Absolutely fantastic work by Taylor. The craftsmen were very skilled, the work was done exactly on schedule. Supervisory oversight every day! And super responsive. I will use Taylor for all work at our house. read more

We had a leak in our roof that Andre and his team diagnosed and repaired very quickly. The ceiling basically looks like new. Plus, everyone was incredibly courteous and professional. We would be delighted to hire them for future projects! read more

I WOULD NOT WISH THESE PEOPLE UPON MY WORST ENEMY. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE. I hired Andre to build a deck with a rain drainage system to ensure the area under the deck would not get wet. Not only were there constant delays during construction, but when the project was completed, there were scratched Trex deck boards and other minor issues, but the main issue was that the drainage system was a COMPLETE FAILURE. After OVER THREE MONTHS of pestering him, Andre blamed one of his "inexperienced" workers and said he'd honor his guarantee and fix the deck. He came with a worker, lifed the boards, replaced the Rainescape membranes, and I hoped that would be the end of it, but the leaks continued, and only got worse. After that, Andre and his wife Renata completely stopped responding to messages. They are completely unprofessional and clearly INEPT. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY and find another contractor for your project(s)! Check out this company's Facebook page for videos of the shoddy work they did for me. read more

Great job and super friendly staff. We converted a half bathroom into a full bathroom on the first floor. In order to create a space for the shower we had to reduce the size of the closet adjacent to the bathroom. Andre came to the house for the estimate and throughout the project. The project did take a little longer than planned but worth the wait. The team did a great job and now we have a beautiful bathroom and closet. read more

I used Andre and his crew at Traylor Design for a deck on the back of my DC townhouse. Ultimately, the final product is great. They are a capable crew and were very clean in the house when they traveled through it, and after it was all done they cleaned up very well and left no trace. I did have some trouble with communication. I requested some additional work that I assumed to be quick and easy to do, but when I received the final bill I was charged for those items. Ultimately we came to an agreement and I am happy with the overall price, but I wish I had known at the time of my request that it would cost extra. Andre is a reasonable guy and he and his crew work hard. They will do a great job and what won me over initially was that he took the time to come out and look at the property. Some other quotes I requested never even sent someone out but still gave me pricing, which I think is borderline rude. Overall, they do a great job just make sure you are communicating actively and have any changes to the original scope in writing. read more

Don't respond my phone calls. Emailed the estimate 23 weeks later with high price. 3 times higher than others.

We had a great experience with Traylor Design and Construction. They renovated our master bathroom, and it came out exactly like we wanted it. They also put up a new backsplash in our kitchen and replaced another bathroom shower door. They were easy to work with, responded quickly, and addressed all our needs. The guys performing the work cleaned up every day and there was very little mess. We would highly recommend them. Our only regret is that we didn't reach out and have the work done sooner! read more

Andre and his crew completed a bathroom renovation for me in a hall bath. The work included removing a wall and installing a new double-sink vanity in place of a single vanity. The work itself was very good, although I question the bracing of a roofing truss in my attic, but it appeared to be OK (I'm not an engineer). The guys that did the work were efficient and finished the entire job in less than a week, they had to come back a coupon times to fix minor issues but were very responsive when I noticed the issues and didn't try to take short-cuts. Could probably use a better drywall guy (I know this is a rare skill) and painter (I'm a perfectionist when it comes to paint, and have painted SEVERAL houses/condos that has straighter lines) Only issue I had was that I was charged for a few miscellaneous parts/material at the end that I thought would have been included, specifically shut-off valves for the sinks and a dimmer (noting that I already had a dimmer, but they bought a new one and passed on the charge to me). Had I known, I would have bought these pieces prior to the install myself (which would have saved some money I presume). Another plus: he takes credit card!! I had other contractors that only wanted me to pay in cash, which made me nervous since I'd pay a 50% deposit and feared that they never would complete the work and I'd have no recourse!! Overall, they did a good job and communicated well. I'd definitely use them in the future and plan to if I choose to add a bathroom to my 3rd bedroom! read more

I set up an appointment for an estimate for today at 6 p.m. I rushed home to meet the contractor and he didn't show up. Not even the decency to contact me to cancel. Very rude and disappointing. Andre and his team did an excellent job with our master bathroom remodel, kitchen backsplash and other smaller projects. They took their time to ensure the projects were done to standard and even made some suggestions along the way that, although did add to overall cost, were worth following. I highly recommend Traylor Design & Construction for any home project, big or small. read more

We had Traylor Design & Construction complete a bathroom remodel in Spring 2022 and their work exceeded my expectations. This was a complete overhaul of the bathroom and they managed the whole project professionally, did it on budget and finished the job quickly, especially considering all the supply chain issues everyone is facing. If there were any issues that came up that would add to the overall cost, they were sure to tell me about it in advance and give me various options to choose from. I was so satisfied by their work that I asked them to take on another smaller house project (replacing a front door), which they also completely quickly and I'm very happy with the result. They are easy to work with, and I will definitely call them again for a future project. read more

Andre and his team are the best. They built a beautiful deck for us this past summer and we recently had them redo our bathroom, install a storm door, and add kitchen backsplash, under cabinet lights, and LED ceiling lights in the kitchen. We are consistently thrilled with the work Andre's team produces. Andre is great at providing guidance and recommendations when it comes to design and really takes the time to listen to what you want the end result to look like and knows how to get you there. They've made each experience extremely easy and they really go above and beyond when it comes to making sure the customer is happy. Andre and Renata run a small but great construction company. Andre has plenty of experience across multiple fields and can execute on any projects with a crew of very talented carpenters and technicians; Renata is very organized and help clients navigate the complexity of remodeling project. Andre and Renata re-finished our basement and remodeled a bathroom, in our home in Georgetown . They did a quality job. What I really appreciated about them is their willingness to provide a quality service at a fair price but most importantly a genuine interest in getting things right and make their clients happy. I hired them for other small projects after and I would definitely hire them again. read more

I can't say much about the job because no one sent me an estimate after the gentleman came out.

I had a complete make over done in a house I had recently purchased. We refinished the floors (you can see the color of the floor stain in the photo), added skylights to the sunroom, removed a bulky fireplace and replaced it with a big window. These guys did a great job and gave me the best price (they matched the competition). Andre was responsive to our concerns and oversaw all the work. I am very happy with the results and would hire them again. I will update my review to reflect how the work held up, but I don't anticipate any problems. read more

Andre and his team finished roughly 1600sqft of my basment. This included a bathroom with a custom shower, replacement of patio door, a wetbar and a media/exercise room. Everything was done to code and inspected without any issues. The project was much more involved than originally planned, but his crew worked hard and got the majority of the basement framed and finished within a month, with a few detailed items taken care of soon after. That included work stoppage for inspections. Overall, i'm impressed and appreciative of the work done. read more
