I have used this place for work and for personal use and they are by far the best detail shop I have ever used. They are definitely not the cheapest, so if that is your main objective, this is not the place for you. However, you definitely get what you pay for. I have gotten many details and this place is head and shoulders above all. They make your car look like, you just bought a new car from the dealer. They do an absolutely fantastic job. read more

Took my van to wash. For $28 they did a shitty job. I told them I had some dirty spots inside the van that I needed to be removed, if I had to pay extra I would. I didn't care about anything else but those minor stains. The guy said he was going to take care of it with no extra charge and didn't do one thing. Every little stain was still there, so I had to clean it myself with a bit of pressure and wiping. I don't understand how hard was that? I'm 8months pregnant and did the job in matter of 10mins. I just went to the "Glitz" on Clybourn. New owners. My nice affordable car wash is gone. This place is sooooooo expensive. What used to be a fairly decently priced car wash is now gone and become a price gauged. No more lady days. My Honda CRV costs $22 without tip. Normal inside outside car wash. With tip $25.00. $18 for a wash, vacuum, and window cleaning is hard to beat and they do a good job. Communication is an issue though. You can't see a service menu until you walk inside and no one really asks what you want. I went back to ask someone for pet hair removal, as I'm driving my friend in her wedding dress tomorrow. They said ok, but didn't do it. At least they didn't charge me for it? They may as well not even have a service menu, I'm pretty sure they just do the same thing for everyone. read more

I love onions! I mean i just love the way they taste and i had a hot dog with extra onion almost a week ago! So i have this habit of eating and driving because i believe that my food does not want to wait to be eaten LOL so i believe while driving and eating a few onions could have dropped in between my seats. The next morning i get in my truck and it freaking SMELLS!!!! Omg i love the taste of onions but i hate the smell. So i decide to leave my windows cracked for the smell to get out and for 4 days the smell was just stuck. I couldn't take it any longer so i brought it here. It started with the disappointment of the clybourn express car wash now being a new glitz car wash location. I had purchased a gift card with a balance of $126 and the employee told me that money is now "gone with the wind". Another employee told me a lot of people were upset and I tried to sympathize that they were getting the short end of the stick. That's when a second employee told me that they don't care about my business or any of the other old customers...they have their own reputation and will be just fine without us. At that point I get uncomfortable got the contact info for management and left. A manager finally called me back offering 6 free car washes. I explained that's not half of the cash value I have on this card. I did appreciate his offer however but by that point I felt uncomfortable to return due to the unwelcoming and adversarial experience I had. It was nice to see so friendly faces of the old employees there but needless to say I won't return and wouldn't recommend it. Putting the gift card issue aside just the escalation of conversation from the employee was disappointing to say the least. read more

Don't get me wrong. They do a great job. But prepared to be there for at least an hour. When asked if they could speed it up a little since I need to be to work. They went extra slow. They have 5 people working on 1 car and it still takes them a terribly long time for a beautiful car wash day. I you want to make more money, speed up your process but have the same great outcome. read more

Great service. Cleaned my filthy car, especially the inside, quite well. They take their time doing their job. Total cost was $13, interior & exterior. Only negative part was the waiting, took an hour inside and about 15 min outside to get in. Time flew by though in the waiting area. I'll definitely be coming here again before summer arrives. read more

They let you know cash only once your inside their car wash and their is a $3 fee at their ATM inside.. Once your car is inside you have cars behind you and your stuck in line.. Not a good setup... you must carry cash or pay extra fees. read more

I recently started coming here because of the convenient hours and location. They are open 7 days a week and that works great for me. The staff works fairly fast given the amount of cars they get in daily. $10 for an exterior wash and tire shine on a car cannot be beat. $13 if you want them to vacuum the vehicle. They do a spotless job in a timely fashion and this goes for both locations. Remember there are a lot of car wash businesses out there but for this one you are paying for quality. read more

This is my neighborhood car wash. I've been going ever since my dad referred me here. There's usually a long wait on the weekends, but it is well worth it. Car always comes out nice and clean and they go above and beyond to vacuum under seats. It is cash only so do keep that in mind. There's an ATM in the waiting area. read more

Fist time going there and was horrible. Not worth the time waiting and price I'm sure you can get the same wash at a automatic car wash for a better price and it seemed like they did not vacuum the inside of the vehicle dashboard was not clean properly wouldn't recommend to anyone that is trying to get there vehicle clean. They are great for detailing cars. You can see the guys try to go as fast as they can but they get busy! Make sure you have time on your hands though,luckily I wasn't in a rush.Came in at 9am and left at 9:45. But have no complaints on the cleaning.And Cash only place but they do have an ATM. read more

Horrible!!!! Don't waste your time or money here!!!!i came here once about 3 months ago and they did a horrible job. There was white soap residue on my black interior (dashboard, cup holder, center console), and white fuzz from the towel on my radio screen. There was also some soap residue on my exterior and smear marks from the towel they used. They also wet my beige seats while they were cleaning. Today I went again hoping I would have a better experience, but they did an even worse job! I have smears on my black exterior from when they were drying with the towel. I saw some what look like something crusty near my trunk antes, and when I asked the person drying my car what that stain was, he told me it was my paint on the car that was messed up. I started to scrap that area off with my nail, and the crust started to come off. Obviously it wasn't my paint and it was dried out soap. The interior of my car windows looked like they barely cleaned them. There were smudges everywhere! And my back windshield has smears. I ended up going to a gas station and cleaned off some of the soap stains and smudges myself and realized that my driver side window had about a 4 inch scratch across it. Seriously wanted to cry at this point. It was definitely not there when I took my vehicle into get cleaned. Please don't go here and waste your money. I came here twice and both times had a horrible experience. Never again. read more

Only place I take my car for washes and details! My car had tar all over the vehicle, something that didn't come out with a regular wash. I took it to Glitz, they removed the tar, buffed, polished and gave it a hand wax, my car looks better than the first day I bought it :) Excellent service, very detailed! read more

I was referred to this carwash by a griend whom spoke highly of it. Upon arrival wait time in line was not bad, aprox 15mins. While the workers move quickly the service is poor. Upon receiving my car I noticed that there was still stains on the back bumper from where syrup had spilled. Upon bringing it to the serviceman's attention I was told it was tar. Tar is black. this was a thick clear substance. I reiterated to the guy it was syrup he proceeded to spray water on it and tell me it should come off. I explained to him requires something stronger than water to remove it. I picked up a towel that they had use to dry the car and applied some pressure and it camr right off. Next I notice multiple scratches surrounding my vehicle when I asked about it the guy told me it was already there. I explained to him that no it was not he told me where you wouldn't know because your car was dirty. I had told him I would know because I wash it weekly. And I also explained to him that I've had it 3 weeks and the scratches that are there we're not there. He proceeded to tell me Well if you don't like the way we wash you don't come back here no more you leave get out. So I told him do not disrespect me if you do not want me to disrespect you. I do not appreciate the way you were speaking to me and I will not have it. I paid the required amount for the service that was performed and I expect for my vehicle to be clean and not have multiple scratches all the way around it. If it is a soft cloth Car Wash I should not have deep scratches. I strongly recommend that no one use this car wash ever as a service attendants are rude, the owner is a jerk and thinks he can speak to you any kind of way. Signed..
