At one point, I had to get up and find someone to talk to. I asked a man near the front for a manager, explained we had been waiting an hour, and pointed out our table. No one ever came over afterward to follow up. We were later told there was a large party, which is understandable--but that's not something customers or servers can control. A simple check-in or acknowledgment would have made a big difference. Instead, we were told we "should have said something," despite no one coming to the table. At the end, we waited again for the check, and when my daughter calmly tried to explain our frustration, the server spoke over her and said, "I'm almost 50--I've been doing this since I was 17," which came across as rude and unprofessional. The food was good, but the lack of communication, attentiveness, and management involvement made this a disappointing experience.

The ladies insured we were comfortable and the patrons were respectful as well. The placer had a great vibe, and the majority of the clientele was inclusive and friendly. I hope we have an excuse to come back. It was really nice to feel like locals so far away from home.

I'm not kidding that it reminded me of an upscale steakhouse offering and experience. The food did not disappoint. My wife had ahi tuna, and I had a New York strip with scallops. The scallops were served with light breadcrumbs and a wonderful butter garlic filled ramekin dish. I also ordered some mozzarella sticks, they were really good as well.
