I couldn't get a hold of them on the phone and waited days to even a week just to get a response through email. I was misled by Laura early on, having me believe I could secure an apartment and telling me "If I were you I'd wait for the 3 bedroom", so that's what I did. I did everything I had to do to ensure my family would have a safe space to call home after being displaced from a house fire. As a professional "director of operations" I wanted to trust her statements. It was weeks of back and forth, her telling me one thing only to go back on it the following emails. I paid for a Guarantor Service when all else failed, I made sure they accepted it (their company was listed on the site) and I paid a large fee. I got as far as Laura telling me I can sign a lease, gave me a move-in date and told her team to get the keys ready...all lies. The day before the lease signing Laura told me the Guarantor Service (that they accepted) was denied and they had the nerve to tell my fiancé and I they suspected we were lying about our house fire. Why would I go through all that trouble if I was lying the whole time? Nobody would go through that, unless they were in a desperate situation like I am. They also discriminated against my ESA dog because of his size, that is ILLEGAL. Afterwards I was told by a friend who previously lived in the apartment that there were larger dogs in the building. For a family owned company, Trion has no empathy for a family in need. In the end, I knew they just wanted to get more money out of that apartment. Thanks for wasting our time, we're still homeless. Do better.

They own a number of properties throughout Yonkers, including 161-171 Radford Street and 461 Riverdale Avenue (among others). As a long-time tenant, I am quite dismayed over the mismanagement of one of their buildings, where I have been a happy tenant for about 15 years. They have only owned the building for 6 years, and so I have experience of it before and during their ownership. Some issues: 1) Under their management one building has been issued violations and citations by numerous agencies and bodies, including the Yonkers Fire Department and the Westchester County Board of Health (for lead paint in the common areas). 2) Bedbugs have been a persistent problem in building(s). 3) There was a major structural fire - a suspected arson - at one of their buildings in January 2014. Repairs have not been made and residents are still displaced as of the time of this review. 4) Vagrancy, drug dealing, and loitering have been persistent problems in at least one building under their "management." 5) Rent-stabilized tenants feel that they are being targeted indirectly (and in some cases directly) in order for them to vacate their apartments, which would allow for rents to double in some cases. 6) There is insufficient heat in the winter (according to Yonkers regulations), and complaints are made regularly to the appropriate city agency. 7) Surveillance equipment has been installed but tenants feel as if they are constantly being monitored (e.g. computer-controlled keyless entry system with logs under Management control, cameras at each entry/exit point, etc.). They have done nothing to improve safety. In short, as a long-time resident, I would advise anyone who is considering renting in one of their properties to think twice.
