I couldn't get a hold of them on the phone and waited days to even a week just to get a response through email. I was misled by Laura early on, having me believe I could secure an apartment and telling me "If I were you I'd wait for the 3 bedroom", so that's what I did. I did everything I had to do to ensure my family would have a safe space to call home after being displaced from a house fire. As a professional "director of operations" I wanted to trust her statements. It was weeks of back and forth, her telling me one thing only to go back on it the following emails. I paid for a Guarantor Service when all else failed, I made sure they accepted it (their company was listed on the site) and I paid a large fee. I got as far as Laura telling me I can sign a lease, gave me a move-in date and told her team to get the keys ready...all lies. The day before the lease signing Laura told me the Guarantor Service (that they accepted) was denied and they had the nerve to tell my fiancé and I they suspected we were lying about our house fire. Why would I go through all that trouble if I was lying the whole time? Nobody would go through that, unless they were in a desperate situation like I am. They also discriminated against my ESA dog because of his size, that is ILLEGAL. Afterwards I was told by a friend who previously lived in the apartment that there were larger dogs in the building. For a family owned company, Trion has no empathy for a family in need. In the end, I knew they just wanted to get more money out of that apartment. Thanks for wasting our time, we're still homeless.
