It turned out it wasn't necessary. Preferential treatment has been given to former Board Members regarding repairs, landscaping, maintenance, pretty much everything. Kimberly Smith is constantly argumentative, obstructive, uncooperative, and combative. She has threatened other residents in other associations with filing criminal charges against them for their criticism of her company. Of course, she is once again incorrect in that only civil actions in tort are allowed if libel or slander is committed. The absolute defense against slander and tort is the truth. One cannot be threatened with or sentenced to jail over a civil matter. Kimberly is a nasty, nasty blowhard. Most of the Yelp reviews about Preferred Management are extremely negative. The only good one was posted by their long time business partner to whom they refer a lot of business and that business isn't good either Avoid this company and this person if you want to protect the value of your property. This company is no longer managing the HOA, and it's a very good change.

But these guys are different. John was straight with me from the jump, explained everything they do, didn't oversell it. They handled some violation issues I had pending and I didn't have to stress about it. Communications with my tenants have been way more professional than when I was doing it myself lol. I used to just text my tenants which I know is not the right way to do it. Only thing I'd say is sometimes I wish they responded a little faster but honestly when they do get back to me everything is thorough and correct so I think its just they are busy and doing things right rather then rushing. Not really a complaint just something I noticed. Overall very happy.
