Several gravel walking paths and some natural paths as well. Enjoyed a 2.5 mile walk around the meadow and inside the woods. Lovely views all year round!

Glenwood Gardens has been such a lifesaver for me during this Covid crisis. I walk there Monday through Friday mornings. Seeing all the changes during each season has been exciting and I have gotten to know the people who work there. You can't imagine how much they do to make this such an amazing place to be. If you haven't gone to the Children's Garden Discovery Center, then you are really missing out on a gem. You should go even if you don't have children, but if you do, it's a must - fairy garden, vegetable garden, miniature trains, huge metal dragon, etc. One of the ponds off the top loop has water lilies that bloom for about two months! We've seen turkeys, deer, rabbits and a myriad of birds. There are herons that nest there and one day we even saw an eagle!!! This place is a real treasure!

the first time we came here there were no one at the gate so we got in free but paid to get info the other side. I like playing with my camera on the other side ..you pay in the building that has gift shop. The have the gate locked so i gather thats the only way in. In that section they have a cute kids area with miniaturize train, huge fake tree that looks like something from alice and wonderland, lovely flowers and fish ponds with loads of dragonflies. they have a cute dragon with with glowing eyes near the fairy garden area. Cute area for kids of all ages. My fav area is the marshy pond way in the back that has lots of frogs and dragonflies. this time there was some all the gate so we had to pay to get in .. they do accept credit cards. I think it was 5 for the day or 14 for years pass because we live outside the county. I think it was around 5 each to get in the side we came to see. they give you a sticker to put on your shirt. to be frank i don't know if this is on a honor bases .. didn't seem like anyone was monitoring it. on the other side that you don't have to pay extra .. its a big paved loop to walk .. huge mature trees ... lovely peaceful place.

Fun place to enjoy nature and kids have plenty of things to stay busy. There's a huge tree house, trains to see, and a place to create/learn about different animals and insects. You did need a Hamilton County Parks pass to get in or you can buy a one day pass and there is admission into the gardens. Admission into the gardens is $5 for ages 2 and up.

Such a cute place for little ones to explore the outdoors. My 4 year old loved the treehouse, gardens, pond and train display. It's a great place to expose little ones to nature at the same time teach them about gardening, insects and plants! There is a trail you can hike down or even have a picnic.

This place is great for anyone with small children. It was only $5 per person and there are many areas to discover cool things, inspire the imagination, and learn fun things. There are 8 main areas: Garden Workshop, Vegetable Garden, Discovery Tree, Wizard's Garden, Frog and Toad's Pond, Trolley Garden, Butterfly Garden, and Grandma's Scent Garden My grandson's favorite things: loved catching rain water and watering plants, running around and around the spiral garden, and in-out-around the crazy house, plus the scavenger hunt. The trolled were another favorite.

Recently discovered Glenwood Gardens, but only after driving by it a few times a month for three years. Decided to take my dog here for a little outside the neighbors excursion. I was surprised when I arrived and was prompted to pay for parking. I did check the website later to and this was published but only on the main site, not on the page for this individual park which I was looking at. The positive from this, is that they offer an annual parking pass that can be used at all of the Hamilton county parks. It'll pay for itself after the second visit and comes with some coupons for other services like peddle boat rentals. The park does have a grand entrance covered in foliage that can be used to access the three different trails. During my first visit I only walked the pathed 1.1 mile loop which had several spots that highlights natural rock found locally, an overlook and plenty of bird feeder houses. The other two shorter paths are acceptable from this loop but I didn't not check those out. Plenty of foot traffic, picnics and casual reading at the benches you'll find along the path.

This is one of the spots you can go to while walking the trail.

I love Glenwood Gardens. The perfect spot to go on a walk or run. I also like to take my dog with me. There's different trails you can take and it looks so different. You forget you're in Cincinnati. This is a great location for photographs as well.

This is one of my favorite parks. The walking trails are not too steep and just the right distance. This is nature at its finest. You can find an assortment of trees and other wildlife. This park is very serene and peaceful. My first time here I even spotted a crane bird.

So today I had in mind I would take my baby out and find a park to take pictures of her in. I never would have expected to stumble upon this park. It's like a Hidden Gem in the city. The park itself is real nice and I was expecting a field of flowers but maybe I didn't get that far. But they do have a lot of different plants growing that are beautiful. When I came it was super hot outside so I didn't walk around as much and I didn't have a stroller which meant having to carry my baby around. But we did meet this cool lady named Lauren and she taught us a lot about monarch butterflies, gave us a bunch of vegetables such as tomatoes peppers.(All grown there) Gave us some herb such as lemon basil, rosemary, oregano Etc. She was so nice and very knowledgeable. The garden has a little play center for kids as well as a little train that kids can look at and just different things that would definitely keep a kid entertained. My baby is not walking yet so she was more interested in eating flowers. I would definitely recommend this place for kids to learn about nature. also a nice place to just take a walk outside and enjoy yourself definitely a family fun place. they have a Welcome Center that has stuff you are able to purchase comma as well as to get drinks and snacks. I paid $3 to get in with my vehicle, and it's $5 for admission inside the park for 24 months and up. not bad considering him with what we left with and the experience we had. I definitely can't wait to go back prepared and with more family and friends!

Very nice park with a major paved trail. Views of the mill creek where you can walk into the woods on a path and enjoy nature. Beautiful landscaping for all kinds of pics. Only thing missing is a small playground for hours the kids garden is closed. There is a kids garden that cost 5.00 or so. The hours are good for morning and mid afternoon outing with you little ones. It's very cute with a treehouse. They offer gardening classes and other classes. Very nice park! Cincinnati has many! Definitely a gem!

Glenwood Gardens is one of Cincinnati/Hamilton County's premier parks with nature trails, gazebos, fountains and the Nature's Niche gift shop. Along with all it's facilities and assets, the parks department also sponsors several programs throughout the year and hosts events from outside organizations as well. Two that I like are the Arts Festival and Shakespeare in the Park. Watch for them, you won't want to miss out. On this particular day, though, we were just there for a little hike around the short trail, which is only a one-mile loop. It was chilly with a recent snowfall still melting on the ground. With the blue sky and sunshine, it was a beautiful day to be out in nature. Since the trees were all bare, there was a much clearer view to the creek, but even in summer you'll get to see it as you pass over the bridge. We got the added bonus of seeing a beaver hanging out a few minutes down below in the icy water and then swimming away. Virtually all of the county parks are great here, but I highly recommend Glenwood Gardens for a leisurely stroll through the meadows and woods. You have to pay to get in or get a yearly park pass, but it's well worth it. Check it out.

A wonderful location to view the bustling activity along The Ohio River Trail, and a place to gather and celebrate as a community. The park boasts multiple water play features, giant swings, an interactive foot piano, an imaginative play area for kids, expansive pollinator gardens, and Carol Ann's Carousel. Several historical monuments can be found like the Black Brigade Monument and the recently dedicated Marian Spencer Statue. I was on a roadtrip and my family dropped me off in downtown Cincinnati and I gravitated to Smale Riverfront Park because I wanted a place to explore nature and see river views. I explored the scenic walkways along the Ohio, flower gardens, fountains, public art, picnic spots, and plenty of space to just chill. One of my favorite features were the riverfront swings, big, bench-style swings tucked along the water that are perfect for kicking back and enjoying the view. They're surprisingly comfortable and such a great spot to unwind and reconnect with your inner child. The park has amazing views of the Roebling Suspension Bridge and Ohio River are worth the visit on their own, the paths are wide and great for families, and there's lots to explore without feeling overcrowded. There are splash zones for kids, places to sit and picnic, and tons of photo ops.
